She knew Dev has feelings for Sona, but is still not realizing it. She wanted Dev to marry someone he loves and not to marry for a business deal.
By now, Tina understands Dev very well. She was aware that he doesn't share his feelings with anyone. He's always into his business. And have never thought of love. Ishwari who was extremely upset asked Dev to sleep now and she will let him know about her decision in the morning. She went to her room and was really angry on Mr. Gujral. How can he keep such a condition. This deal is really important for Dev.
This is when Mami enters her room. What happened jiji. Ishwari tell everything to mami who is extremely happy. She says, its good na jiji. And Ishwari looks on surprised and angry.
Mami: Look jiji. We have seen Natasha. She is a well mannered, educated girl and is from a well to do family. She'll keep you and Dev happy. And one day you'll have to get Dev married then why not now. We have seen the girl atleast and she is a simple and sweet girl. There'll be no problem. I think you shod think about the proposal and say yes. Else it should not happen that afterwards Dev will fall in love with an ill mannered girl and we have to get him married to her as we'll not be left with any option that time. (mami left the room with a evil grin on her face). She was aware of Dev's concern for Sona and only wanted Sona out of the house by any mean. She has always tried to fill venom in ishwari's mind about Sona and was successful in doing so.
Ishwari and mamaji also had a talk that night about Dev's marriage and mamji also advised ishwari that if Dev is ready and the girl is also good, she should agree.
Next morning Sona was happy and was getting ready in a hurry to go to Dev's house. She wanted to confess her feelings to Dev today anyhow.
