Can you spare One Dollar for Pakistan?
is based on a very simple idea of raising one dollar for the relief fund for the victims affected by the earthquake in Pakistan. The death toll has been climbing well above 40,000 lives, millions people are displaced from their houses and billions of dollars worth of damage is done. It is literally impossible to gauge the actual cost of rehabilitation, which is bound to run well into the multiple billion dollar figure. Being a third world nation, no amount of funding is enough to bring the poor back into their houses. We should all bear in mind that the out pouring of assistance and funding should not simply stop a week after the earthquake when all the press and fan-fare dies out. In our opinion that is actually the time when the country can start the healing process.
is a volunteer-run organization, comprising of like-minded individuals who have joined hands to tap the Internet for potential funding. The Internet enables us to reach millions of people in a more direct way; we have pooled our resources to stand up to help Pakistan. As a team we are seriously committed to ensuring that the funds are handled meticulously, and every cent is handed over to the nominated organization. This is an amanat that you have given us and we assure you of our commitment to the cause. We simply believe in Pakistan.
Our campaign is based on targeting the smallest of contributors. We ask for nothing much - we only request you to at least donate ONE DOLLAR for Pakistan. Consider it as a can of soda, or a coffee at Starbucks. Consider it loose change but this time we ask you to please donate it to PAKISTAN. Pakistan has given so much to us all, it is time we gave something back. We naturally will be delighted to get a larger contribution from you, but if not then we will be more than happy for that precious ONE DOLLAR FOR PAKISTAN

Funds will be deposited to the PayPal account of Dr. Awab Alvi, a dentist and an orthodontist practicing in Karachi. A detailed profile of each volunteer can be found on our website, including phone numbers and email address. We have provided this personal information as a testimonial that we are honest people who believe in lending Pakistan a helping hand out of this catastrophe .
