TOI:Bhagyashree Mote will replace Sara Arfeen Khan as Surpanakha

Bagyashree Mote, who was last seen doing shows like Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev and Jodha Akbar, will replace Sara Arfeen Khan as Surpanakha in the show Siya Ke Ram. When asked if she was happy to replace Sara, she said, "I don't know about that. But it is challenging playing historical and mythological characters on TV.

In fiction shows, you can easily experiment with your character and take liberties, but with historical or mythological characters the scope is limited as they are defined. People have already read about these characters so they have a picture of Surpanakha in their mind. So one has to be very good and work hard towards such character roles."
