This part is all about Khushi and Lavanya. And with this part, I end a phase of Khushi's past. Sorry readers if I disappoint you that there is no Arnav-Khushi in this chapter but I didn't want to break this part and include in other chapters since writing such stuff is as disturbing to me as the facts here.
So here I give you how the soul sisters met...
Chapter Seven:
"Keep Akash away from the accounts Khushi." Lavanya almost pleaded.
Khushi hummed, her eyes on the excel sheet on her PC screen.
"Are you even listening" little irked that her friend looked unmindful when she was panicking.
Rolling her eyes on La's whining Khushi finally, turned to her huffing friend. Folding her arms under her bosom she observed La's red face with a small smile on her lips.
La looked away scowling as soon she saw that Khushi was rather enjoying than feeling scared of her anger.
"You know even after working with the boss for so long you do get worked up for small things quite fast." Khushi said teasingly.
For a moment, La looked that she was about to argue but then her shoulder slumped and she said in whisper "I wouldn't have if it would have been someone else. But this is Akash and he means the world to me." She looked in the eyes of her friend trying to convey the intensity of her feelings for Akash, wishing that she would understand.
"Same as you to me and I will never play with what is important to you. Be assured he is safe" Khushi replied without missing a beat. Her eyes matching the seriousness of La's.
La blinked little taken aback by the show of emotion by her friend, a rarest moment she guessed.
Khushi returned her focus back to her computer screen. And when La thought she was deep in her work she heard her speak, "Akash won't find anything if he tally this sheets until he looks into all the real bills individually, which his lack of time will never permit and he would turn to us for help. I will make sure that he doesn't get a whiff of the monkey business going around in RH. And he is safe until he knows nothing."
Lavnya blinked the tears away that had blurred her vision. She had wanted Akash safe and Khushi made sure that he would be. She wanted her part to be secret in this whole game since she didn't want to shake off the normalcy in her life she had worked so hard to gain and Khushi didn't let anyone breathe a single word about it. She took her secrets with her when she vanished from the face of earth and even now she was being her guardian angel when she was the one who was elder among them. She owed her too much. Not just these huge favors but her life too; she once had saved and killed for.
"Leave me. Leave me. I don't want to do this. You don't know who my papa is. He won't leave you when he will know what you did to me."
A fifteen-year-old Khushi watched a seventeen years old Lavanya yell her with her blank cold eyes. She was yet to know her name. She watched her scream, cry bang the closed door of the shabby room and finally giving up tired and weep silently.
She looked away from the crying figure. She knew crying was of no use. These people would not care of her tears. She had been here for three days now and seen too many girls who had cried, pleaded and begged just like this girl but gained nothing but abuses.
After living a life of hell since last eight years one thing she had known there were more bad people in this world than good and unfortunate like her met the later kind more than the former. And when you meet such guys crying, pleading only invites trouble like hunger, beating, and merciless abuse so it's rather better to accept your fate and make it easier for your own self than get beaten until you succumb to their wish ultimately. So why take the hard way?
Since she had already accepted what was to come they were little easy on her. They gave her to eat her fill. Gave her good enough clothes to cover her body. And also, let her use a decent bathroom. So yeah you can guess who didn't relent what was their fate until they yielded.
She felt a little bad as much her state could make her feel for the big girl who had started to wail and scream again.
As expected two of their men entered the room pushing the door forcefully making the girl stumble and fall back eventually. One of them grabbed her long hair and pulled her up to face level. The goon hissed dangerously "Stop crying and making a ruckus over here. Your father can be president of India for all we care but once here there is no way out. Get that straight in your pretty head before our special clients walk in through this door. Because that time if you dare deny them giving what they want and throw this tantrum then remember next time there would be more of us claiming you body at the same time and of course not gently. Imagine the horror." The man grinned evilly making Lavanya shudder in fear. "Stay shut and stay put. Don't make us rearrange this beautiful face of yours. It's worth million." Said the other man even as he delivered a hard slap on her face that had her almost fell back but not really because of the tight grip of the first man in her hair. She shrieked in pain while they laughed.
Khushi cringed but didn't try to stop them or say a thing. Her experience taught her well. Trying stopping then would only infuriate them further. And that wouldn't do any good for any of them. So she waited until they left slamming the door shut after them leaving a sobbing Lavanya behind who cried in pain and humiliation and also because she realized that the dark days of her life had just begun.
In slow steady feet, Khushi walked to the elder girl and sat down beside her. She didn't say a word of consolation because there was none. She didn't try to stop her because she knew once she cried her heart out she would feel less wary. She only sat there letting her know she wasn't alone and after what seemed like hours the elder girl acknowledged that she had another human company before she broke down on her lap once again. Khushi only patted her head. Her own eyes dry like a desert. She only hoped that the elder girl whose name she yet to know would be able to bear what was about to befall on them the next day.
**
Finally, drained out after hours of crying Lavanya looked bleakly to the girl who had been her constant company, who didn't spoke but had been there like a pillar when she was all but a weeping mess over her fate. She was still. But somehow this girl who looked younger than her made her intrigued enough to stop for a while and think about something else other than her doom.
"Hi, I am Lavnya." She introduced herself tentatively. Her voice raspy from constant crying. She didn't even want to think about how she looked at this point when evening like this from some other day would have her sit before her dressing table getting ready for her tuitions or some other plan with her friends.
"I am Aleen." The girl spoke in a quiet voice. As usual, Khushi didn't tell her first name to this stranger girl.
"Ho... how did... did you come here?" She was afraid yet curious to know how this girl was brought here.
"My adopted parents sold me here three days back." She said emotionlessly.
"What?" Lavanya couldn't believe her ears.
"It's okay. They were anything but parents to me. They actually run a business of making children beg or use them for drug trading. They were also involved in child trafficking but they never traded me because they said I am good looking and once I become a woman I can be sold in much better price. And they did. I had my first period some months back." She stated plainly.
Lavanya eyes almost bulged out of their socket. What this girl bore was beyond her nightmare. It was like horror taking a new definition for her. She never had any trouble in her life. Growing in a family under her parent's care she was a happy child. Her only hardship was passing her exams with good grades. She was a mathematics genius of her school and her parents were proud of her. She had been brought up with love and care and had been pampered like a princess. Of course, she wasn't spoiled but she knew she was a bit haughty in nature but that didn't bother her parents and friends as she never did anything wrong in her haughtiness. Until yesterday morning, she was planning her upcoming seventeenth birthday and was out on a shopping with her friends in the evening in a mall. When someone came up to, who looked like an attendant in the same mall and told her she was the lucky shopper from the last store who had own a handycam as a prize and she needed to show her bill in the shop to collect the gift. She had followed him happily not noticing that her friends didn't come after her as they were busy in some other counter. The man had taken her towards a secluded area saying that the shop had it's store room in that part and she needed to show the bill to the storekeeper to get the cam. She had felt a little doubtful then and tried to walk away but by then it was too late.
Someone had shoved a piece of cloth under her nose and after that everything was black before she had woken up this morning only to found herself in this building. Her salwar kameez from last evening was dusty and torn in places and those men looked at her like they were eyeing a piece of meat. She had though they had kidnapped her for money and wanted them to call her father but then when they told their real intention behind her kidnapping she felt fear and disgust like she never felt before. Since then she had been pleading, threatening and begging them to leave her in no avail. And now this girl's tale killed even if there was any hope in her heart even if it was as equal to as a needle's tip.
She crawled towards Aleen and asked fearfully, "what will you do tomorrow? You know when they ask you to sleep with their clients as they said."
"I will do as they say." Was Aleen's simple reply.
"What?" For the second time, Lavanya stared at the girl in disbelief."Do you even realize what they will do to you? It will be disgusting and even painful. Do you still want to listen to them?"
"I know it will hurt. My adopted parents told me. They said I am a virgin and that's why my price is more. And for the first time it will hurt when they will have sex with me but then it will be okay and if I be a good girl then I will be kept well and in future only sent to clients who would treat me nicely."
Can this girl be any more blunt in stating facts. La wondered now little irritated by Aleen's nonchalance in this whole matter as if she was talking about next day's weather prediction.
"Why doesn't it bother you that something so disgusting is going to happen to you against your wish which will ruin your life forever?" La asked furiously.
She saw the younger girl stared at her with her big doe-like eyes which looked extra bigger on her thin pale face. She was too thin and her frock hung low on her shoulder yet La couldn't deny that she was pretty. She saw her open her mouth but then she closed it as if deciding how to answer her question. She thought she had been rude to this unfortunate girl unnecessarily due to her frustration at her own pitiful situation. Hence, she thought to put her at ease when she heard her speak and what she said next left her speechless and feeling like a fool with no knowledge of the real world.
"It doesn't bother me because I have lived not much better life since I was seven. It should make me feel disgusted but it does not because I have been taught to embrace this life by my adopted parents since they had brought me from the orphanage. And there is nothing left to be ruined in my life that I would care for it to be ruined more."
She had accepted and submitted herself to her fate which she knew could worsen anytime but could never get better.
**
Looking at her image in the bathroom mirror Lavanya felt like puking. Those men had come this afternoon with a middle-aged woman who looked as shoddy as a person could get, with her eye hurting colorful shiny sari and cheap overdone make-up. She was talking to these men with authority which only meant she owned this place or at least the activities that went over this place was supervised by her.
She had flashed her not so white teeth in a sneer before throwing a too revealing dress towards her ordering her to wear that quickly.
Lavanya had thought of protesting, but at the same time, her eyes had fallen on Aleen, who had been given one such dress herself too, shaking her head very subtly indicating her to stay shut.
Even though she had wanted to shout on her too for her such easy submission but to think logically what other option she had? Protesting would only make her situation worse. They would harass her and forcefully would make her wear the dress. And if they got out of control God only knows what they might do to her. She shuddered at the thought. She didn't even know where she was because whenever she had looked out of the only window in the room she had seen a dingy alleyway covered in dump. Sometimes girls of her age or younger than her, coming and going with men double their age, in extremely revealing dress, looking like out of horror movie with their highly made up face. She had no idea in which part of the city she was in. She had no idea how her parents were coping with her disappearance. She knew her mother would have been crying and her father would have been searching for her like a madman in the whole city but she had no idea if he had any hint that where her daughter was taken to. She helplessly hoped that her father would found her before the vultures took all of her she held precious as a girl. Her hands and legs felt cold and clammy even thinking of the evening to come.
As she came out of the bathroom wearing the excuse of dress she found the men were no more in the room and assumed that they had gone back to guarding the door. The woman though was still there sitting on one of the rickety beds in the room looking bored. Aleen too sat beside her as blank as ever wearing the dress that had been given to her.
When Lavanya came she made them stand and scrutinized them quite critically making Lavanya feel like leeches were crawling on her body.
Then she opened the case that she had brought with her and asked Lavanya to do her own makeup when she did Aleen's as grossly as possible.
Once the makeup was done she called one of the men and asked them to take Aleen away in one of the other empty rooms and left the room leaving a scared Lavanya behind who stared helplessly at Aleen'ss retreating back feeling deadly alone.
She saw Aleen pause on her track before she crossed the threshold of the room and turn back. Both girls held each other's eyes conveying the littlest consolation they could give the other in that moment before the man dragged Aleen away.
Lavanya slumped on the floor weeping all over again.
**
The man tore her dress when she tried to push him off her. She looked down at herself in horror. Her front was wide open to the naked leering eyes of the middle-aged lecher, who looked wealthy in his appearance though she couldn't say that about his nature.
The moment he had walked in through the door all he had talked about how he wanted to devour her body and make her scream as she lost her virginity. He looked unnaturally excited about the fact that he would get to f*ck a virgin. It didn't bother him that the girl he was about to rape was of the age of his daughter. She had never met such vile man ever.
Then he had proceeded to rip her clothes off not taking the trouble of asking her once to take them off herself. And he succeeded too.
Lavanya hastily moved back seeing the man take predatory steps towards the bed leering all the way. She tried to cover herself with the bed sheet but he snatched it away brutally. And then the real nightmare began.
**
The door of the room was pushed open as soon he opened it irritated by the constant banging. He was more irked because after a tight fight he was able to tame the bitch enough to enter her body without her clawing his face and back with the sharp nails and teeth of hers.
He had to deliver a few slaps and kicks and punches to get her to submit but in the end, he was about to get the fruit of his hard work when this unrelenting banging started. Furious he was about to yell at the person who was interrupting his good time but all his choicest words got stuck in his throat. Only an ear piercing scream left him as he felt something sharp pierce the bare skin of his belly and dive more in his body cutting her organs leaving him unmindful of anything other than the unbearable pain that shot from the middle of his body and hit his brain.
**
On the verge of losing her conscious Lavanya lay on the bed like a rag doll while the man crawled all over her body like a worm from some dirty drain. She faintly heard the loud noise and then felt the man move away from her body grumbling profanities. She didn't try to get up or even move feeling all out of spirit but a scream jolted her back to her senses. Through her hazy blurred vision, she saw Aleen standing on the doorway of the room with a bloodied knife in her hand.
Rubbing her eyes to get rid of the scene that she thought her mind was conjuring up she tried to look again clearly. This time, though her eyes collided with Aleen's which held a dangerous kind of gleam, scarier than vile man's eyes who was now rolling on the floor howling in pain.
She saw Aleen walk in the room, her dress marked by blood. Her state not as dishevel as hers.
Aleen wrapped a sheet around her body and urged her to get up. With difficulty, Lavanya managed to stand when she heard her say "come with me." with authority.
Lavanya had no idea how Aleen managed to reach her and why. If the knife in her hand was anything to go by then reaching here wasn't easy for her. Then why she took the risk and come for her when she had already said that she was prepared for what was to come in her way.
As she crossed the man now lying unconscious on the ground she wondered how Aleen managed the guts and courage to hit someone the way she did to the man. But she couldn't think more as her aching body and hazy mind didn't let her so she focused on putting one step before the other to keep walking.
**
After crossing the corridor with Aleen, Lavanya felt weird that no one stopped them and let them walk away scot-free, when only yesterday there were at least four men standing guards in here. Little did she know what the girl walking beside had done before coming to set her free?
**
That day Khushi had not only saved her but all the girls who were brought there by force and kept in lock and key.
When Khushi was asked how and why she took the risk?
She had stated plainly "I had nothing to lose in my life. But when I heard Lavanya plead and beg and then scream in pain, I realized she had a lot to lose. A family back home. A happy life. A bright future. A lot of dreams she might have seen while growing up. And maybe her life too. And like her many girls present in that building. So I took a risk."
The customer for Khushi's room was yet to come so she picked up the vase, the only heavy object in the room and waited by the door. When it opened from outside and the man walked in who was supposed to be her customer for that night she hit him hard on the back of his head and fortunately he passed out without making much sound. She took the chance and walked out of the room. There were two guards who were busy drinking and she tiptoed behind them searching for something that she could use to get rid of them. Luck was by her side as she found an empty whiskey bottle lying beside them.
Khushi grabbed the bottle and smashed the end of it on the nearby wall making it a dangerous weapon.
She did it so fast that they could hardly react before she made enough wounds on their body with the jagged end of the bottle and made it tough for them to move anytime soon.
Then she opened all the rooms on the floor which held many girls like her captive save Lavanya's room because she needed enough back up before she went to save her. She asked the girls to gather something each that they could use to protect themselves and when about 20/21 teenager girls got down to find their way out from this nightmarish place the few men guarding the building could do a little as the girls used everything as their weapon to beat them to pulp starting from a rod to their sandals to knives to broken glasses to anything they could get their hands on. They managed to snatch the 2/3 revolvers the men had after a little struggle.
Well, those pimps never would have thought in their shitty dreams that a wildfire could break in their precious hell and take down their entire castle of evil like a house of cards. So they were scarcely armed and poorly prepared. And that gave the girls upper hand who were more in number and totally driven by outrage and adrenaline.
By then one of the police informers had already tipped the nearby station of the entire drama from outside the brothel. And by the time Khushi had managed to get Lavanya free from that man's clutches Police had arrived and so had Lavanya's father pulling a climactic end to the whole fiasco.
**
Lavanya shut her eyes letting the few teardrops escape that had gathered in the confines of her lashes. Taking a deep breath to calm her agitated nerves she reopened her eyes a steely resolve shining in them.

A/N: I thank each one of my readers who liked and took out some time to comment on this story. I read and re-read each of them because they motivate me to write further. But I cannot help but notice how the response on this story is so low and I wonder what could be the reason?
Is it because I am not sending PMs. Well, then trust me it is a wonder that I get time to even update this story. Even then in the starting, I have sent out PMs to all of my reader friends from my friend list with a request that if they liked and wanted to follow COG then bookmark the thread or leave a small note on the thread so that whenever I update next it will show on their post wall. I, therefore, wonder that in about 200 people only 20/30 people found this story worth reading. If so then I think I am really doing a bad job in here and I don't want to spend my time on something which is not worth. It would be better if I stop.
My regular readers would agree that I never threaten my readers for comment or like because I believe if my writing can reach to your heart then like and comment would come naturally. So you can understand when I see so less like and fewer comments though they are truly heartwarming I cannot help but feel that maybe this isn't worth continuing.
So readers as a writer I request for your motivation if you want me to continue because believe me where I stand in my Asli Duniya right now I could use some extra time which I spent in writing updates. I love to weave stories so don't let my spirit die where I lose my love for writing.
Mou
whoaw, what an update!
It needed some time to sink in.
And to tell you the truth, i am not at all bothered by the fact that there were no arhi scenes.
The way you have written this update and the emotions👏. I don't have any words to express it.
And to think that this still happens to young innocent girls, heart breaking.
The adoptive parents were such a horrible people.
It was sad to see khushi/aleen accepting her fate...
But thank god, that she had the courage, even though she did it for lavanya and not for herself, to rescue herself, the girls and lavanya.
I am more desperate to read about how their relationship progressed after the ordeal, even more then about khushi and arnav!
Thank you for taking time out, writing this story
