Sheena Sippy wins World Gold Award at the NY Fest

Sheena Sippy and Naman Ramachandran's book, 'Lights Camera Masala' won the World Gold Award for Best Book Design 2007 at the New York Festivals.

New York Festivals is an international awards group that recognizes the world's best work in advertising and programming. Divya Thakur designed the book, which was released a year ago. The book is the brainchild of Sheena Sippy, noted photographer, and employs prominent film critic Naman Ramachandran's witty and crispy text to look at the 'magnificence, and madness of Bollywood'

Padmini Mirchandani of India Book House (the book's publishers) adds saying that it authenticates not only the timelessness of the print format, but also establishes India's position on the design map of the world. Abhishek Bachchan who features on the cover of the book was also present during the belated bash to celebrate the award.
