Sonu Nigam records a song in crutches for 'Azhar'

Sonu Nigam reported to a suburban recording studio in crutches. And guess what! The man was out to record a song for Ekta Kapoor's Azhar!

So while Sonu recovers from his knee problem (Sonu Nigam to undergo knee surgery, March 17), the film's music composer Amaal Malik cannot stop singing praises about him. Malik tells SpotboyE: "Sonu's commitment was to be seen to be believed. He recorded the track sitting on a sofa. And mind you, he completed it in 20 minutes."

Azhar, starring Emraan Hashmi, is Malik's first collaboration with Sonu.
