So my dear Priyanka has had a change of heart now... in fact from a while now. It was heart-breaking to see her dreams getting crushed. But we know it happens right! Teenage is such a time when it feels like we have the whole world at our feet and we can do anything. Looks like Anjali & Priyanka became a little too obsessed with their dream that they went with all those devious plans!! Anjali still seems to not have recovered from it! But now, neither Akash nor Payal is alive.

I wonder if Anjali ever sat back and thought rationally over her actions... what would she really achieve by speaking ill about Payal now or by not accepting the little Akanksha in their family! She is only going to get hatred from everywhere. Now even Shyam seems to have broken up with her!! Poor Anjali... I hope Priyanka helps her realize before it is too late else I dont see any redemption for her.!

Kudos to you... there has been so little of Arshi so far in your story, but still you have manage to keep us hooked with the convoluted tales of Akash-Payal & Priyanka-Anjali... it feels like such a filmy story... hehe...

So now what next dear? Khushi is planning to tell her parents about Arnav during the Puja?! Guess there could not be any better time to disclose her relationship... I can clearly see Arshi getting married and adopting Akanksha legally. I wonder what would be the fate of Priyanka 😭

You are right about Arsji scenes but I am sure our author here will give us galore scenes of arshi soon!!!but I love the way each and every character is played out.

Its powerful.. Intense and captivating that I can read it over and over and not get tired of. Written superbly !!! I hope Anjali does not cause a problem when she finds out arnav and kushi love one another.

And you are damn right about getting us hooked although there wasn't much arshi scenes and I am a selfish person and would prefer mostly archi scenes but this story here is mind blowing so far.

Chapter - 6

Devyani was sitting at one corner looking over the preparations of pooja. She turned around to find Manohar & Shashi looking after the arrangements. Arnav was busy with caterer. Khushi & Madhumati were helping panditji with the puja arrangements . Garima & Manorama were taking care of the guests. Priyanka's parents - Nitin & Baishali Mehra also came.

Her observation came to a hault finding Aakansha really bonded well with Priyanka. The little girl was too busy with Priyanka as her maasi & bade papa were busy with other activities. She remembered teary eyed that earlier how boldly Priyanka instructed panditji that the puja is for deceased family members Aakash & his wife' Payal. Priyanka is repenting her deeds by giving Payal her deserved right & respect which she never enjoyed while alive.

She again remembered , when few guests were taunting Raizadas & commenting that it is foolish of Priyanka that, she is giving Payal her right of Raizada bahu' & now since Aakansha, is back, the Raizada' name will be taken from her too. Devyana understood , how hurt Priyanka felt at that time hearing all this. She knows Raizada' is not a surname for Priyanka. This is the only thread that keep her connected to Aakash. Even though Aakash never accepted her, still Priyanka can never detach herself from Aakash . Her emotions behind keeping Raizada' tag with her is very much understood by her family members. So, Manohar & Manorama silenced those guests, my mentioning that Raizada bahu' tag doesn't matter. Priyanka will always remain as a family member to them with or without Aakash's name attached to her. Devyani smiled. Her family is coming together again. Now, if only Anjali comes around too.

Nitin & Baishali smiled fondly looking at their child Priyanka. Their daughter has grown much strong these years. No doubt , she has become a much better person now, keeping all her bitterness towards life away. Yes, she still refused to move on or start her life afresh , but looks like she is in a much better state these days. If she is stubborn, they had to behave stubborn as well & finally their stubbornness wins when Priyanka accepted to visit a psychiatrist. Finally the counseling session has paid off. & now looks like She is quite happy with the child ; precisely Aakash-Payal's child . Hope their daughter too gets a second chance in life & gets her happiness.

Manohar while checking the arrangements with Shashi give a backward glance at his wife. His wife no longer appears lifeless. Yes, both of them has lost their son, but they stood strong facing the loss & will continue doing so. They agreed with Priyanka when she wanted to give Payal her deserved rights' & at the same time, they provided her support that no matter what she would always be their family, by replying those guests. & they will soon give Aakasha her rights too. He & his wife has decided, it's better to embrace whatever they are left with rather than cry over what they have lost & waste their remaining life .

Khushi give one glance towards her mother, before turning her attention towards the work in hand. Her parents are doing much better now than what they were about a week back. Madhumati sweet talked , then threatened & finally blackmailed Shashi & Garima to come to Delhi for attenting the Puja. Though, they remain confused that why a puja in Raizada mansion was given so much importance by Madhumati. When they arrived in Delhi, they were shocked to see Khushi & Aakansha . Later when Madhumati revealed Aakash - Payal's death to them , they were hurt extremely. Hating someone, when they are alive is easy. In hate, people always promised themselves that neither they want to keep relation with the person they hate, nor they want to see their face again. But the knowledge that their promise is finally fulfilled & that they will never get a chance to see them again hurts beyond measures. The loss of the person they once loved immensely & hated now, cannot be expressed in words. This once week, Khushi-Payal's parents mourn not only for the loss of their child Payal, they also mourn for the loss of past 6 years, they mourn for all those lost times, when Payal wanted to talk to them & they refused, they mourn for all those times, when Payal & they keep their communication via Khushi They mourn for the times when they wanted to take Payal in their arms & assure her everything is fine between them, but cannot take the step owing to their hate. They mourn for the time, when they wanted to accept Aakash in their family. Unlike them Manohar & Manorama were far better person who never judged Payal. They wanted Aakash & Payal with them. Though Aakash left, they always tried to get assurance from Arnav that their Aakash & Payal were safe & happy where they were. Manohar & Manorama mourned each day for last 6 years whereas Shashi & Garima finally allowed themselves to mourn now for their deceased children & lost times. & it did take a toll on their health. Though others stood strong beside them & finally both are doing much better. In fact, they are making it up to Akansha for all the lost times.

Khushi's musing came to a halt hearing a sudden husky voice ,'Hey sweetheart. Thinking about me'?

She gave an extremely sweet smile in reply & said ,'I have better things to do.'

Arnav sound hurt ,'Ya ya. Now that you have got your parents back & everything is getting sorted out , why would you think about me ? You don't have time for me these days. You don't love me anymore'.

Arnav, stop acting childish. If dadi or any other family member see you in this way, they will wonder, who is the elder among you & me'.

Ha ha ha ha , Very funny'.

Khushi shook her head,Now, jokes apart tell me, have you spoken to Shyam bhai or Anjali di "?

Arnav, you are saying as if you don't know. You should try to talk to Shyam bhai about his break up. They were supposed to get married. It's been so long. If he breaks up now, it is obviously painful for Anjali di. & not to forget this family too.

You can't run away from it. Everybody is moving on in their life or at least trying to. How long you have decided to hold your grudges against her. You loved her more than jeejaji.

Here lies your answer . I loved' her. I don't love her anymore.

She is your sister & you simply can't stop loving her all of a sudden.

I don't know. Yes I love her a lot. Still now. But seeing that she didn't realize her fault, I don't know what to do with her. She failed as a sister'. & I absolutely don't want to talk to her. Her excuses for that matter is not going to change things. & I am not in a mood to hear anymore excuses from her. Shyam is better off without her.

Khushi , please !!

Anjali was standing upstairs seeing everybody busy in their work. She is getting drowned in her own loneliness. Shyam didn't talk to her for last one week. Priyanka is avoiding her after her outburst. Arnav Bhai. Well, he is not talking to her for last S-I-X years. In all these years , she thought of convincing him, so that he could see her point. But seems like that is never going to possible anymore. He seems quite comfortable with Khushi. Is something going on between them? Elder sister has taken away her one brother & by the looks of it younger one is on it's way to separate her another brother too.

Anjali flinched as soon as the thought crossed her mind. Has she really changed that much? She is the same Khushi whom she has always adored from her childhood days. Inspite of her hatred towards Payal, she can never bring it in herself to hate Khushi. Come what may, she can't hate Khushi. She doesn't know why, but she simply can't do it. Yes, it was her dream to see Priyanka- Aakash together. But , she wanted Khushi in her life too. As her doll. As anything. & this anything included her being Arnav's wife . Though that thought was quite funny & whenever, she has those thought, she shoved it away for future. But, coming to think of it, how come, she can accuse her favourite Khushi of taking away her another brother.

Yes, Shyam was right. She was insecure . But it was not for power. Okay, may be power. Or for attention or importance. She doesn't know. Or may be she knew, but doesn't want to admit. The problem is , she loves her family. She loves everybody. She hates this idea of being aloof or hated by all. So, she conveniently put the blame on Payal, in her heart rather than accepting it's her fault. May be dreaming indeed is bad. To have dreams about your brother's future is more bad.

;Hii' Anjali distractedly looked sideways to find Priyanka standing besides her with a warm smile.

I thought, you were not talking to me .

I came to take you downstairs. Puja will start any moment'.

Nobody wants me downstairs'.

Anju, it's for your deceased brother & sister-in law. Don't do something, for which you will regret your entire life. We both have done plenty of wrong deeds & it's better, we start making amendments right now. Let's go.

Before Anjali could protest, Priyanka took her downstairs

Sitting amidst all the family members, Anjali was feeling more lonely. Her parents for once didn't acknowledge her presence. They are busy with Shashi uncle & Garima aunty. It is obviously normal. The way she behave with Madhumati aunty, her own family has disowned her in a way.

As the last guest took their leave, after puja is over few hours before, Raizadas , Guptas & Mehras gathered in the living room. It's time to bring a closure to the past bitterness & move on. The conversation took place starting with the Mehras appologising to Guptas & Raizadas for their daughter's foolishness & also for the loss of their children. But the Raizadas & Guptas stopped them by saying, that they do not hold any grudges towards Priyanka. Whatever happened , nobody can change that. But , they all can start afresh.

Priyanka after appologising to everybody expressed her wish that if it was in her hands , she would have legally adopted Aakansha. But , the way she behaved with Aakash & Payal, she doesn't considered herself worthy of Aakansha . She just wanted Aakansha's presence in her life. Staying close to Aakansha, will help her seek forgiveness from Aakash- Payal .It will be a consolation to her wounded heart . For a considerable amount of time, in her life, she has loved or thought to be in love with Aakash. Intense counseling have helped her see her fault, but it didn't lessen the feeling for Aakash. Till now, she didn't thought about her re-marriage or anything like that. She wanted to give Aakansha, the love & care , she deserved. But that didn't mean, she will not think about her remarriage in future. She is open to such relationship. But, this time, there should be no forced relationship. Any person , who would love her for what she is would be considered . Her not adopting Aakansha is also due to the fact, that she is not confident, that she can take Aakansha's responsibility. She is a human afterall. What if, in future , she wanted to start her life afresh with someone . Then she can't take away Aakansha with her, neither can she force that person to accept Aakansha. & causing that much distress to a little child is not acceptable. Elders understood her point. They agreed too.

Manohar & Manorama too asked for forgiveness from Gupta's on behalf of Anjali. Guptas in return appologised for not being able to accept Aakash.

Seeing bitterness removing from their life, Devyani asked for Khushi's hand for Arnav in marriage. All these days, nobody missed the easy camaraderie that Arnav & Khushi shared & also Devyani had a detailed conversation with Arnav in this regard. She doesn't want the history to be repeated. & only after getting confirmation from both Arnav & Khushi , she placed her proposal in front of Guptas . Guptas in return getting a positive response from Khushi agreed for the same. Raizadas, Guptas & Mehras congratulate each other for the same. Though Khushi & Arnav has decided before that they would adopt Aakansha legally after their marriage, they decided to withdrew this information

The scene unfolding before Anjali was putting her in dilemma. No , doubt, she is happy for her best friend's decision to move on. She is happy for Arnav - Khushi too. But, she is unhappy for her own breakup. It's just 1 week that Shyam broke up with her & here her family is happy with the other developments in their life. Maybe finally, Anjali Singh Raizada doesn't matter to anybody anymore. With a deep sigh she left to her room.

It was only during dinner time, entire family found out that Anjali is missing from house. She has left behind a note for her family.

Dear Ma, Papa, dadi & bhai,

Sorry' is a very little word for all my deeds. Moreover, it is not exactly what I am feeling right now. So saying sorry', that I don't feel , doesn't makes any sense. I did what I thought to be right for Aakash Bhai & Priya. Turns out it didn't. I postponed my wedding , thinking it is a way of punishing myself. Turned out it was not sufficient. I thought come what may Arnav bhai will stood by me. It didn't happen. I thought Shyam will wait for me. Seems like he is too tired for me. Everybody said, it was all because of me. I don't know , may be you are right. Somewhere I read Human beings are cause of their own misery' . So, thinking about that I supposed, I am the cause for the position I am today.

Please do not think, I am going through a self realization or something. Just because, you feel that I am guilty doesn't make me guilty. I know what I did & why I did them. But know one thing, seeing you all miserable is not making me happy. I really really love you all.

All, I need to say is I am leaving for the time being. May be staying away from all of you can give me some time for self analysation. I am not doing anything for sympathy' as Shyam has accused me of . I just want some alone time to understand where I went wrong, when all I wanted was your happiness. Give me some time, I'll come back.

P.S- I am happy for you Priya. It's good to see you trying to move on in life. I really wish you all the happiness in world.

P.P.S - I am happy for you Arnav Bhai & Khushi. I always wanted Khushi to be around us & now when it is happening, I may not be around. But I'll come back.

After reading the letter, Devyani folded it & kept in the bedside drawer. Her grand daughter is in a confused state. But she knew , only Anjali can help herself in this situation. She needs to go out in the real world , without the protection of her family. It might help her see things, which they all failed to make her see in all these years. It will do her good. By the time, she will return, hopefully, she will no more be a self obsessed person.
