Nandini's POV
Shit!!!! Mukti yeh kya poochlia yaar! And you stupid Nandini... Kya zaroorat thi Soha ka naam lene ki! Tujhe jo pata hai vo sabko batane ki zaroorat nhi hai...idiot! Ab kya bolu??? Everybody is gaping at me only!!!
"ahh...Mukti... Guys...its..its already time...dekho...I'll serve the dinner...ok...come guys!" badi mushkil se bola. I have to leave now.!!!
I was almost out of the room when I heard her again. "wait Nandini... You can't skip that...spill it!" arre yaar Mukti!!! Why ayiappa???? Mere saath hi kyun?
I was in my complaining session with ayiappa when I heard something again. !!Soothing!! "I guess...guys, since Soha was that... chaepo types n... always wanted to public our relationship, she kept on giving hints... about us by doing something or the other... So ho sakta hai... Nandini ko bhi vaise hi hint ho gaya ho!!" Manik defended! Manik defended me! Oh my my...manik I love you so much. You're a saviour sachi! Mujhe nhi pata mai... shut up Nandini!!!!...what the hell are you spitting?! You gone totally crazy today. Keep a grip over yourself or you'll be in a big mess jahan par tumhara 'oh my my...' wala Manik bhi bachane nhi aayega! Shut up now!
"yes guys...that's right! This is exactly what happened! Now come all you guys...I'll serve the dinner!"
I said and quickly rushed out to avoid further interrogation! Woohhhf! I hope they'll be convinced! But mujhe Mukti se baat krni chahiye!

"Nandini... I think that's your phone... It's ringing!" we all were in the dining area when I heard Navya say this. I checked my phone but it wasn't ringing!
"no Navya...mine is not ringing!...what is the caller ID on the phone?" I called out to her.
"it shows 'GODFATHER'! See..." she showed me the phone while tittering and I knew whom did it belong to.
"this is definitely not mine!... Ryan your phone's ringing!" I chuckled thinking about the upcoming.
Ryan came out and took the phone from me and suddenly the calm Ryan was replaced be a panicky one.
"oh Nandini... Plz..plz no! I can't pick the call. Plzz na. This is 'godfather'!" he panicked while everyone else confusingly giggled seeing his condition.
"That's ok Ryan! You're not a baby. So stop it..ok! He won't eat you up from the phone right. Now come on, pick the call and give him the needful details. We haven't called him since our landing... So it's quite obvious he's curious to know. Just simply tell him that we gonna start from tomorrow! Go now!" I explained him with utter patience.
"why don't you talk then? why are you making this difficult for me, Nandini?" he's still cribbing like a baby...oh god!
"Ryan... I'm serving the dinner yaa...come on! Grow up... And go on...!"

I turned to my spectators who were watching us crib with full confusion.
"ah...don't mind him guys...he does become that when it comes to our boss!" I explained them.
"That's ok!..vaise Nandini *chuckle* what's with this 'godfather'??" Dhruv asked and why not...obviously the name itself was amusing for a boss... Whom Ryan was not comfortable with!!
"actually guys...I've given that name to him.!!" we all heard Ryan as he descended the stairs.
"you came too early?...quick convo!"
"yeah...didn't wanna spoil mah mood after the talk!" he replied to my question and I just passed a smile back.

After our delightful 'pre Valentine's dine!', all of us moved to the terrace of this one-storey building with our beer cans.
"arre Nandini... Our question still pending. ''godfather''??" Alya asked, stressing it with rabbit ears!
"guys...vo na he's our boss. And he's more inclined towards me than Ryan! Both of them are always busy squabbling over me. And sometimes, Ryan does abuse him... Not infront of him...obvio...but he does. So, then this name was entitled to my... or I should say..our loving boss coz he's as precious to me as my parents and this guy, has simply no authority to abuse him! At all!" Nandini explained calmly...also tittering side by side and making others laugh on his condition while Ryan had developed a 'nonsense' frown on his face.
"no doubt...that was too good!" now everyone was laughing on Abhi's remark.
"one thing that even I agree with is that... He is a true godfather in some sense...he's taken care of Nandini just like his own daughter and never made her miss her parents." Ryan told everyone.
"Ryan plz stop it."
"no Nandini... These guys are your friends...they ought to know."
"what's going on guys?? And Nandini... Yeh missing parents kya hai haan??" Alya asked, suspicious.
"guys...my parents...umm... Actually...they are no more."
And everyone gasped on her statement.
"hmmm... Its been... Abt...more than 5 yrs now!" slight tears brimmed in her eyes remembering the past while all showered their sympathies over her to calm her down.
"Nandini... Its ok! If you don't wanna tell then we understand... We can talk abt this later." Cabir said softly.
" no its ok Cabir...I'll tell you guys now itself... Actually, they had gone out to a relatives place in the countryside leaving me alone at home. They didn't even inform me...and just told Ryan's father that they were going. Ryan's father n papa were quite good friends n neighbors too. Then when I woke up...on not finding them anywhere, I panicked but then got the info of their departure... I called them up and Bohot daata phone par...for leaving without informing me. Unse theek se baat bhi nhi ki thi maine n I said that they don't love me...so neither do I care of them. And...that was the last convo I had with them." I was completely choked by now. I tried my best not to cry but could not hold by now. I had killed them..my words did and neither I had the time to express to them that how much I love them...how much I miss them. What could be more shameful for a daughter! I excused myself n ran off the terrace.

"guys, let her be... For sometime. She always gets vulnerable, alot more than this, whenever she remembers them. That was truly a tragic accident... I miss you uncle n aunty" Ryan defended on Nandini's behalf and then said the latter looking towards the shining stars.
"Ryan...do you mind if we ask you to narrate the accident. So we can know what actually happened in our friend's life?" Manik asked this time and Ryan nodded with a smile in reply. He was happy to witness the caring side of Manik.
"actually...they had promised to return by late evening and after Nandini's phone call, we didn't hear from them. It was late night already... N we had no clue where they were. We could not even connect to them...so we called up their relatives and they informed us that they had already left hours before. Nandini did nothing but cry and my mom n I were trying to pacify her and dad... He was trying his best to locate uncle and aunty. After 3 days...literally, the police retrieved their dead bodies from the highway. Actually, that night, a meteor shower had occurred in that area and one of them struck their car and they died on spot. That was a very tragic end. Nandini had become a very depressed soul. She used to cry to sleep. But slowly, I was able to get her back... Wish could delete that phase from her life." Ryan explained everything... And this brought tears to all eyes. The girls weeped uncontrollably.

The girls entered the room while the boys had stayed back at the terrace. They entered and found Nandini standing by her window, looking at the stars and weeping silently. Mukti moved forward and palmed her shoulder. Nandini turned back and saw a very similar condition of her friends. All hugged and continued shedding.
None had the audacity to say anything...but actually the words were not even required. The silence was enough to provide the much needed solace.

All the girls entered the terrace. The tension in the air had reduced a bit. The girls had soothing smiles on their faces and this even calmed the boys.
"happy Valentine's day... Guys!!!!!"
Nandini shouted with enthu...coz she knew none will feel better until she'll be ok...so se decided to let go of her depressional phase and enjoy the day of reunion.
All the others beamed too...and the party went on with inviting a colorful and joyous, exciting and thrilling life for the friends.
