Ishawari's character is so complex -
1) She loves her son very much as she raised him as her hope
2) It isn' t as if she does not like her daughters.. When Neha agreed to start fresh - Ishwar was happy too
3) She is so possessive abut her Son's hard earned money - understandable (he earned it after lot of hard work)
4) she is very large hearted in giving away gifts to servants / relatives
5) Because she was given shelter by Radha Rani - she fulfills all her greedy demands
6) she showered her love on Sona also but like usual mothers she never considered Sona to be her own daughter in law
BUT -
When it comes to Dev she become another person -
1) How she totally refused to even consider the girl for marriage for Neha's marriage
2) She suddenly had change i expression when - his daughter wanted to work in Dev's Office
3) Best was when Radha Rani restarted the topic of Dev's marriage and Ishwar change the topic and next day she wanted to drop them back home.. That was superb work by Supriya
While all all love for Dev is natural, this total refusal to even think of Dev's marriage is creates lot of suspense.
Off Course Khatri also add to this suspense a lot..
