She opened the door and in the middle of the room there was Raman with Sarika, his hands holding her face while she had hers around him. Sarika was leaning in and placing a kiss on his cheek but when she heard the door open, they all turned looking at her

'What the hell, don't you knock...'' Said Sarika

'I am... Uhhh... I am...'' Said Ishita looking at Raman

'Ishi...'' Raman tried to call her but at that point the damage had been done

'I am sorry Mam... Uhhh Simmi Madam is asking after you. They need you down stairs for something...'' She said in one breath

'He will be there you can leave...'' Said Sarika and Ishita who was about to tear up turned and walked out

'Wait...'' Raman called her but she could hear Sarika tell him

'Let her leave... You and I are not done...''

Ishita didn't want him to have the satisfaction of knowing that he had an effect on her so big that she couldn't control herself but God knows it took everything in her not to just fall at her knees and break down. She didn't even think it would be that hard to see him with someone else. He never promised her anything so she had no reason to believe he would be faithful but my God it wasn't even a day since he was in her bed.

She had never felt so used like she did in that moment and when she walked down the stairs, she never expected that her tears would come flowing down that easily. Be it out of embarrassment or disappointment, it didn't hurt any less. She went down walking out of the house her hand on her mouth as she stopped herself from screaming. She needed to compose herself before she walked back in there. There was no way he was going to see her like that.

Raman walked out of his study hoping to catch Ishita before going out but he couldn't find her. He turned making his way to her room when he heard Sarika tell him

'Raman, where are you going? Simmi is by the poolside...''

'Yeah just a minute I will...'' He said but he heard Simmi calling him

'Raman... Come on let us conclude this...'' And he gave in walking out with Sarika

'Let's go over these, did you come with the contracts...'' Said Simmi

'Yeah... Here...'' He said sighing as he handed then the documents

'This is good although I still need your auditor's accounts as well...'' Said Pratik

'Yeah he is working on those, you will get them on Monday...'' Said Raman

'That is all good but how foes Ishita fit into all this...'' Said Romi

'And what is it with you and that girl...'' Said Sarika

'Well either way she qualifies as domestic help... You need to learn how to be assertive...'' Said Sarika

'And you need to learn to disappear when you not welcome... Clearly you too have a lesson to learn...'' Said Romi

'Okay think about it this way. If I make say Juice of different varieties in a tiny glass'' She said holding the juice up

Why would I hire someone to market these jumbo glasses of juice for me? I already have a customer base that I want to build on, and I have been making tiny glass juices... 'So same with your website... IYER Technologies has this thing where they help local business to grow internationally with new and innovative ways... It is a bit hash hash but it is there... All you need to do is give them a prototype of a website directly linked to your business that they would have no choice than given you control because the prospect would be too great not to...'' 'Listen as you take your proposal, just prove that you do not necessarily need everything, just their shipping department, coz let us face it, nothing is better than theirs. You pay them for services rendered and also commission for people who handle the orders, everything else stays within RKB's hands... Trust me you will make butt loads of money...'' Said Ishita looking at a now very impressed group of people

Give them a window where they can go talk to an expert, video conferencing of some sort... Said expert can give them fashion advice and tips on what to wear with what and what make up... It will be like an extra for those willing to spend extra... You know and so on and so forth... Stuff like that... It will be like you're online/phone service/ customer care website... You literally kill 3 birds with one stone... In this case, one click of a button'' She said handing Romi the scribblings she had done

'Is that even possible... It seems like a lot to put in one place...'' Said Simmi

'Well yeah it can be but hire the best programmers and you're on the right track. Nothing is impossible...'' Said Ishita

Everyone looked at her surprised to their wits not believing what they were hearing. They had a bunch of people who had given months to this and she just ripped it apart within the space of seconds. Even Sarika who had joined them midway didn't quite know what to do to make her-self look good after that. Raman looked so taken up and impressed that she thought she needed to say something to sound smarter

'Look I was just saying you don't have to listen but if you need to impress IYER Technologies... Do something related to or close to this...'' She added

'Okay am I the only one who this that that was extremely hot...'' Said Pratik

'My God... You have some serious brains on you...'' He added and Ishita chuckled

'I can't take credit there... It is genetic...'' She said

'Romi asked for my help and I gave it. I didn't mean to step on anyone's toes and I didn't mean for you all to take it in bad faith but I can't work for RKB...So you don't need to stress yourself on how to deal with me'' She said again

'You're such a drama queen...'' Sarika began but Raman interrupted

'Okay my company my rules, she is a freelancer and thus will be paid as one. Just a consultant ...'' He said

'But Raman...'' Pratik began

'This is the only way she will work with us trust me...'' Said Raman and Ishita just kept quiet

'Ishita... I am missing something... What is it...''Said Romi and Ishita just faintly smiled before she said

'No... I swear... No...'' Said Ishita knowing he was talking about her encounter with Suraj

'What has your attention...'' She said curiously

'Excuse me a minute, will you...'' He said getting up as he walked inside following Ishita

'What is it with her that all of you just ogle...'' Said Sarika but Raman who was looking the same direction just ignored her

'Raman, can you at least pretend that we are here as well...'' Said Simmi

'What is your problem? And I know it is much more than just her sleeping in, which by the way wasn't her fault as it was me who got her home late...'' Said Raman

'I just don't like the way she acts around my friends like she is better than them or something...'' Said Simmi

'Yeah... Sarika came to my place very upset about the whole thing. Now I didn't want to say anything because I know that she takes good care of the kids but...'' Simmi continued but Raman was still just staring at Sarika

Sarika and Simmi become close after Shagun's death and a couple of years down the road they had become really close and gained a very good friendship, or so Simmi thought. Raman on the other hand wasn't so gullible so he saw right through her. While Sarika began her shenanigans with Raman, Simmi had no idea and thought they were friends because of Sarika's relationship with Shagun. They events Raman took her to, their reason was Raman was helping build her image in the fashion world in the beginning and so they become close through that. So in a way Simmi didn't know of the affair they were having, or choose to ignore what she saw

What do you mean smitten by you?'' Said Simmi a bit surprised

'You know what I mean...'' Said Sarika

'Oh honey, I don't know how many times you want me to say this... He is never going to see you that way...'' Said Simmi and Raman sat back as Sarika looked at him

'You are... ' Said Simmi shaking her head as she looked at Sarika

'I am fine, I promise...'' Said Ishita

'There is this thing that I have to attend and I was thinking maybe you would like to come with me...'' Said Romi causing Ishita to turn and look at him for a second or two before she turned again saying

'It is like a party... Pratik is hosting...There is no reason, he just likes throwing parties'' Said Romi

'I don't think that is my kind of crowd if am being honest...'' She said

'Your kind of crowd... What does that mean...'' Said Romi

'I mean... I don't think there is a lot in common with me and you know, your friends. Most of whom for whatever reason do not seem to like me...'' Said Ishita clearly indicating Sarika

'Well Pratik likes you...'' Said Romi

'Please, I have this feeling Pratik will like anything that is not male...'' Said Ishita and Romi chuckled saying

'Fair enough...'' He said as he got up and joined her

'Okay how about me... I like you... Maybe you would come just to hang out with me...'' Said Romi and Ishita turned to him

Romi walked to where she was doing the dishes and began drying every utensil with a dry cloth as he looked at her. He knew he was caught and there was no coming back from there except just give in and flat out as her.

'Fine... How much do you know?'' He said and Ishita chuckled

'She tells me everything so what do you think...'' Said Ishita and Romi sighed

'Come on... How long have you know...'' He said and Ishita laughed softly saying

'Since last night... I mean come on... What do you expect...''

'I don't know... I thought maybe she may give it a thought first before, She ... I don't know...'' Said Romi shaking his head

'What is it with you Bhallas when you are around girls you like...'' Said Ishita

'Meaning...'' Said Romi a bit taken back by her comment

'Nothing... So what were you intending on asking her...'' Said Ishita

'I wanted to ask her if I could give her a ride but instead of doing that I instead said...'' Said Romi and Ishita laughing said

'Would you like to ride me...'' And Ishita threw her head back laughing

'I swear and to make it worse instead of me shutting up and walking away I just continued yapping away as I told her, it is brand new and therefore can be smooth when you ride it...'' Said Romi and Ishita just continued laughing

'Oh God...'' She said

'By the time I realized what I had just said; she was slapping me and walking away. I tried to yell I was talking about the car but at that point she had hailed an auto and had left...'' Said Romi and Ishita just laughed out loud as she held her stomach

'It is not funny...'' Said Romi chuckling

'Hahahahaha your right it is not, it is very hilarious...'' Said Ishita as she laughed harder

'Come on tell me what she said...'' Said Romi

'She was pissed. She couldn't understand why you would say something like that to her... I can't understand why you would say something like that to anyone...'' Said Ishita as she composed herself

'I couldn't believe I had said that. She makes me nervous... Every time we meet, she just... I end up muffing my words and it is like I have verbal dyslexia. My words just become all upside down. I know what I want to say i just can't quite say it out loud...'' Said Romi

'Hold on... You have met Mihika before yesterday... I thought that was your first encounter with her...'' Said Ishita

'No... Well it is the first time I have spoken with her but she and I have met before...'' Said Romi

'Where...'' Said Ishita

'She works I think part time at the mall... You know the one...'' He began and Ishita completed

'Yeah... She works there or used to...'' Said Ishita

'Yeah every Wednesday and Fridays... I know... ' Said Romi and Ishita turned to him slightly impressed

'I noticed she had stopped coming there and when I asked they told me she had quit and had found a job outside Delhi but no one knew where. Imagine my surprise when I walk in and she is your friend Mimi...'' He added

'Well why didn't you just ask me to help...'' Said Ishita

'I got excited... Plus I didn't think you would help after...'' Said Romi and Ishita completed

'Luci slapped me...'' She said

'Yeah... Hey you need to stop calling my mother Lucifer...'' Said Romi

'Sorry...'' Said Ishita putting her hands up

'On a serious note though can you get her there...'' Said Romi

'I don't know... She is not the go out have fun, kind of girl. She is more in-dozy person...'' Said Ishita

'Come on... You can tell her it is for work... And that your boss insists you should be there...'' Said Romi

'First of all that is ridiculous... Second she will vehemently advise against it and third, she doesn't really like you all...'' Said Ishita

'What...Why...'' Said Romi as they concluded the dishes and walked to the counter sitting down

'Well she thinks Rinky is an annoying spoilt brat, Simmi is Miss know it all while Raman is an egotistic arrogant boss... Actually her thinking about those three that way may be my fault...'' Said Ishita

'That is what you think about Raman... ' Said Romi surprised before he added

'You don't look at him like that...'' And Ishita turned looking at him and she realized he was teasing

'Very Funny...'' She said

'And me, what does she think about me...'' Said Romi

'Oh you... She thinks you are a perverted rich pompous ass...'' Said Ishita causing Romi to slightly bang the counter

'Dammit... I swear I am not like that...'' He said

'I know that... She just hasn't seen you in the light that I see you in... Charming and kind ...'' Said Ishita

'Right... So you will tell her...'' Said Romi

'Oh God No...'' Said Ishita

'Please... Fine ask her to come to the party I will do the rest...'' He said

'I am not so sure about this...'' Said Ishita and Romi got off his seat kneeling down as he put his hands together

'Please... Please... Please...'' He said and Ishita began laughing

At that point Raman who had been asked to leave by his sister was just making it inside and when he walked in all he could see was Ishita laughing looking at his brother who was on his knees pleading for something

'What the hell...'' Said Raman causing Ishita to look up at him

'Fine I will see what I can do...'' She said and Romi got up pulling her up to her feet, placed a kiss on her cheek and hugged her saying

'I owe you big time... Thank you... Thank you... Thank you...''

'I can't make any promises...'' Said Ishita

'Am sure if you come then everything will just fall into place... Thank you...'' He said as let go

'Uhhh am I missing something...'' Said Raman who was looking at them shocked to his core

'Oh nothing really... I am just cashing in on that date she promised me...'' Said Romi before he turned leaving them there and walking out very excited

'Am sorry he is what...'' Said Raman as he turned to look at Ishita very pissed off

CHAPTER THIRTY EIGHT

'Can I help you with anything boss...'' She said as she turned her eyes from Romi who was walking out to a very pissed Raman just for a second before she looked away again pretending to clean the counter with the cloth Romi had

'What...'' Said Raman surprised at how formal she was being

'I am asking can I help you with something...'' Said Ishita as calm as she could be

'What is Romi talking about...'' Said Raman ignoring her antics but as he was about to find out, she was more stubborn than she led on

'Oh he invited me to a party...'' Said Ishita

'And you said yes...'' Said Raman

'I didn't have any reason to say No... So I figured...'' She said and Raman irritated said

'Stop calling me that...''

'Oh am sorry should it be Sir then...'' Said Ishita

'What is the matter with you'' He said and she still calm asked him

'Am not quite sure what you mean Sir...'' She said

'Okay look... About what you saw ...'' He began and Ishita interrupted

'Okay now I am interrupting you...'' She said and Raman kept quiet

'I didn't mean to barge in on you like that. I apologize about that...'' She said

'What No... Ishita just listen to me...'' He said and she heard Simmi call her

'Ishita... Ishita ...'' She called and Ishita turned to walk out only for Raman to pull her back

'Hold on... You and I need to talk...'' He said

'No we don't...'' She said as she tried to release herself from his hold

'Look I know I have offended you very badly...'' He began

'No you haven't...'' She said

'Come on am not a child. You can barely look at me without feeling disgusted...'' He said

'I have no idea what you are talking about...'' She said

'Fine... Then turn around and look at me...'' He said and Ishita with her fingers crossed behind her back turned and looked at him

'Honestly you don't need to tell me anything boss...'' She said calling him that intentionally

'Ishita... She was just having a...'' He began and Ishita turned to him saying

'Raman I am going to stop you right there, I am an adult; I know it may not look like it given the way I behave sometimes... But I am and I am not under the impression that we are committed to each other. It was a wonderful night, and that is that...'' Said Ishita

'Ishita... I am not that mean to just do...'' He began again but she cut him off

'Again you are explaining... Do not do that...'' She insisted her hands still crossed behind

'Ishita...'' Sarika came in calling her

'Excuse me...'' Said Ishita as she turned walking out and bumping into her

'Simmi wants to talk to you...'' She said as she attentively looked at her but Ishita just walked away from her

'I swear your nanny has antics that are just...'' Sarika began but Raman just walked away from her

'You called...'' Said Ishita as she made it to where Simmi was

'Yeah, I just received a call from Mom, Aditya and Ruhi are to stay a for one more day so they will be here day after tomorrow

'Okay...'' She said

'In other words you can take those days off...'' Said Simmi

'Oh thank you Mam...'' Said Ishita

'You realize you can call me Simmi...'' Said Simmi

'I know... But I prefer to call you Mam...'' Said Ishita

'Why... You call Romi by his name...'' Said Simmi

'He is my friend... It is easier...'' Said Ishita bluntly

'And am not...'' Said Simmi baiting her

'No mam... You're not... You're my boss, you always make sure I never forget that...'' Said Ishita

'Are you always this...'' Said Simmi looking at Ishita before she added

'You know what... Honestly you remind me of someone I used to know... Stubborn and straight forward like she was...No wonder Aditya likes you so much...''

'Am sorry... I don't understand what you are talking about...'' Said Ishita pretending

'Nothing... Forget it...'' Said Simmi

'So I have the day off...'' Said Ishita

'Yeah... We do not need you here for a few days... You can go...'' Said Simmi and Ishita turned leaving

'And about this morning... I apologize... I was just having a bad day...Am not usually that rude and mean...'' Said Simmi who couldn't quite explain why she was being rude but understood she owed her an apology

Ishita turned and looked at Simmi not believing she had gotten an apology from her. That was quite big of her and humble. Ishita now slowly understood why Raman wanted her there with his children; she was the civil mannered one out of all of them.

'Never crossed my mind that you were Mam...'' Said Ishita politely and Simmi knew she was only being nice

'Thank you...'' Said Simmi as she chuckled shaking her head and Ishita turned only to hear

'No nickname for me yet...'' Said Simmi

'What...'' Ishita said turning to her

'No, I mean, there is Grumpy Senior and Junior, there is chirpy, Brat, then Luci, Am not sure what you call Romi. And therefore that leaves me... So what is it...'' Said Simmi looking at her

'Ahhh... Mam... I don't...'' Ishita began stammering

'Make sure mine is cute and playful... ' Simmi added turning her head to her tablet as she told Ishita

'You can leave...'' And Ishita turned smiling embarrassed as she walked away while a smile creepy up in Simmi's face as well

Ishita made sure that she finished everything in time to ensure that she was ready when Mihika and Priya came to pick her. She hadn't seen Priya in a while and Mihika had told her she was doing so well so she couldn't wait to see her. She cleared the dining table once Raman, Simmi, Sarika and Romi had their lunch and ensured that she left that kitchen clean.

Neelu had come back from her days off therefore she knew they were catered for and thus was free to leave and take her days. She had done everything to avoid Raman and when Romi invited her to have lunch with them; she respectfully declined and instead retired to her room. She had a bunch of snacks that she had been having the entire days and therefore couldn't wait to get the hell out of there and just find something solid to eat.

Raman was no fool, she claimed they didn't have any problem but she didn't act like they didn't. She was always in his face minding his business and giving him opinions he didn't ask for and now all of a sudden she didn't even want to sit at the same table with him? That didn't sit well with him.

He waited for her in the living room hoping that once she was done with her cleaning, she would join them and he would get an opportunity to talk to her but she didn't. So when she walked out of her room with a back pack and a cross over bag, he knew she was about to leave

'Whoa... Where are you going'' Said Raman as she stood up looking at her

'Mam gave me the next 2 days off Boss...'' Said Ishita

'Why...'' Said Raman

'What do you mean why? You cut her days off by taking her to that charity thingy, I thought it was only fair that I have her an extra day to make up for that. Plus the kids do not make it back until day after tomorrow...'' Said Simmi

'Since when have you thought of being fair to her... You do not even like her...'' Said Raman

'Raman...'' Said Simmi taken back by his out burst

'Go back inside...'' Raman said turning to Ishita

'What... No...'' She said

'I said...'' Raman began but Ishita just grabbed her back pack and walked out

'Hey...'' He called her again following her outside

'What the hell has come over him'' Said Simmi but Romi unlike the girls in the room was beginning to get a sense of what was going on

'I am talking to you...'' Said Raman as he grabbed Ishita's hand as she made it outside

She pulled her arms away as she turned looking at him and he could see she was visibly pissed off

'Okay... Let me make something really clear right now... First of all, that in there will be the last time you talk to me like that ever... Second of all, I am here because I promised you and your brother that I would help out with your proposal which I have done to the fault... Three, I was supposed to get the weekend off which I didn't because of what I promised but that has been settled and therefore I am giving myself those days off. Even if your sister hadn't done that, I was going to leave anyway... So do yourself a favor and take you and your ego back into that living room and shove it...'' She said

'You can't talk to me like that... I am your boss... I pay you... You are supposed to do whatever I ask... Whenever I ask... Your job is to do what you are told, now get back in there otherwise you are fired...'' Said Raman as he tried to grab her hand but she removed her hand from his hold again

'You are not hearing me... I am not your property and I am not some low life low self-esteem girl who will fall at your knees because you ask... I am going away for the three days and I will come back here do my job because you are not firing me...'' Said Ishita as she walked away leaving him there dumfounded

'Ishu...'' Mihika who was making her way into the parking lot called her

'Is everything okay...'' She added

'Super... Come one lets go... We have a party to prepare for...'' Said Ishita leaving Raman at the door staring at her

'Wait... He looks like he is about to blow up...'' Said Mihika as she looked at Raman

'Sarika is in there... I imagine she will cool him off...'' Said Ishita making sure Raman heard her before she eventually walked away

Raman walked back inside angry as hell at the ways he talked to him and also mostly because she had pretty much put him in his place and he was feeling like he had been used. From the look on her face when she walked in on him and Sarika to the Ishita who was talking to him a few seconds ago seemed like a 180 that was impossible. It was like it really didn't bother her at all.

' Raman...Raman...'' Sarika called him as she got up going to where he was

'My God... Will you just let me be...'' He yelled as he walked up to his room and Romi followed

'Sarika... what is the matter with you...'' Said Simmi

'I was only trying to help...'' She said

'I suggest you should actually leave...'' Said Simmi

'Why... What have I done now...'' Said Sarika

'Well by the looks of things you are just aggravating him even more... Just leave I will call you later and tell you how he is...'' Said Simmi and Sarika obliged

'Fine... I will get my stuff... I don't want to be here if I am not wanted...'' She said as she walked out

Raman got to his study and swag the door closing it that he almost hit Romi in the face

'Whoa... Will you calm down...'' Said Romi as he closed the door and turned looking at his brother

'I do not want to talk... Leave...'' Said Raman

''Oh I know... But I also know you when you get all crazy like you are now... So am not here for you...'' Said Romi

'Meaning...'' Said Raman turning to look at Romi

'I know what happened last night... I mean it was quite obvious while you were asking her to look at you while she talked...'' Said Romi

'What nonsense... I just wanted to make sure that she understood what I was saying...'' Said Raman

'Of course...'' Said Romi sarcastically

'She is my nanny that is it...'' Said Raman

'Okay so I should just ignore the way you look at her, talk to and about her or at this point even feel about her because she is your nanny... Right ...'' Said Romi again in the same tone

'Romi please... ' Said Raman

'Like I said, I am not here for you... All I am saying is... Sooner or later someone else will notice and I do not think you want people talking behind her back as the nanny screwing the big great RKB... It will not be fair to her...'' Said Romi looking at his brother before he walked out
