Mostly we come across social media surveys demanding one of the many definitions of "Love."
So, what exactly is love? Social Media addicts mostly come up with one word descriptions like nothing, everything, timewaste, pain, blah blah and so on. What I am literally willing to waste hours explaining here is that, Hey, Come On! You have a real life.. and, oh, guess what? You don't find your true love on social media anyway!
Not that I'm going to preach some religious sermon here but, I aim to highlight the true meaning of the world "Love."
Here's a little example,
You see a blind pedestrian by the side of the road and you decide to help them to the other end-this is Your love-and in return, the old pedestrian fills you in with loads and loads of prayers, this is their love, the love you get back as a payment for giving love, and you never know how useful their prayers may turn out to be in your life. They say in Urdu, "ye duniya gol hai," and my friend I hope you know, whatever goes round, comes around.
Wanna know what's Love?
Love is when you give a thirsty person your sip of water,
When you give a naked child a peice of clothe to cover themself up,
Sharing your food with a hungry beggar,
Giving a jobless person a job,
To aid a sparrow with a broken wing,
Respecting someone as random as a teacher or a stranger on the street.
Love is the synonym of affection, tenderness, generosity, honesty, loyalty, respect, efforts.
Wasi Shah sums all this up in just one beautiful verse,
(translation)
"Millions of colours are metaphors of Love,
Be it any case, all of them own me. "
Please spread Love, the world needs it.
