The reason for the success of Om Shanti Om lies with superstar Shah Rukh Khan 's shirtless song-and-dance sequence.

This is the reason that the film's director Farah Khan gives while riding high on the success of 'Om Shanti Om'.
'Om Shanti Om', a film on reincarnation, had a tough battle to overcome for box-office supremacy as it was sharing its releasing date with Saawariya by Sanjay Leela Bhansali .

But three days after its release, analysts said that 'Om Shanti Om' had edged past 'Saawariya'.

"The entire credit for the film's success goes to Shah Rukh," Farah said.

"He is the film's main attraction and the shirtless song is definitely one of the main reasons for the film's hit. It is the scene to watch out for."

The bare-chested act by the 42-year-old King Khan who underwent rigorous training sessions to develop a six-pack, has helped the song "Dard-E-Disco" reach the top of the charts.

"I have made many girls and women happy by showing Shah Rukh in a very different way," Farah said.

"He has a huge audience base and everyone I'm sure is loving the way he has pulled it off. He had to train a lot for the scene and he is looking very good."

and 50% went to cinema house to take potshots on his 6 packs..

IT is hit good if one start searching reason for hit or reason it may have fall flat then you would have known where the weight is more 😛

lol well om shanti om was a good entertainer...it had a few flaws...but it never failed to keep my attention...good music, funny scenes, and surprisingly good performance by deepika! shes gonna be a big star...im glad its doing well...it might be stupid, but in this case stupid works 😆

It is a success becasue of media.Media is putting this movie on a pedstal while dragging Sawaariya down....

But let the week pass bya nd the fall from that pedestal would be very painful 😆 😃

Personally OSO did not do for me.....Heyy baby & Bhool Bhuliya was much better

oso is publicly hit yaar😕😕 wat media does

the reason is only MEDIA...i dont get wtz their problem with saawariya..y they keep dragging it down 😡 ..giving negative reviews..nd ppl not going to watch it...instead of tht they r watching OSO 😡 ...Saawariya is not tht bad as the media nd some critics r saying...SAAWARIYA IS A WORTH WATCHING MOVIE...IT ROCKX 👏 😊

Even without the six pack, SRK always had success movies. I actually didn't like the six packs.

Who ever said the movie is success with the media, I always watched SRK's movies even without reading or hearing from the media, even without he's interviews.

I watch movies that have stories I like. I enjoy he's old movies than he's new ones

I'm sorry to say this, but I watched both movies. The only thing I like about sawaariya is the songs and the chemistry between sonam and ranbir 😳 Other than that, sawaariya the story and the sets were just getting on my last nerve. It was making me sleepy

i cant blive i watched saawariya the same week as OSO.

I shouldve just watched it on DVD!
