In fact, extremely well played
Mr. Shravan Malhotra !
LOVED the "revenge" sojourn today
👏👏👏
The ASTUTE lawyer in Shravan can take a bow
Oxford can be proud of its alumnus
What a way to play it out!
An AMAZINGLY well thought through tit for tat!
A special mention for Namik Paul
He was SPLENDID today!
👏👏👏
So what was it that stood out for me...
Obviously the facts and figures
So Friends, here goes...
My take!
1. Shravan questioned the basic IDENTITY of his and Suman's equation today, 'cos that was the SCAR that he was left with 10 years back. Sumo was his WORLD; the same Sumo is reduced to a mere stranger, Suman, today!
2. Shravan believes that Sumo (ab)used their Friendship and his undying Loyalty towards her. The important thing to understand here is that in Shravan's mind, even their Friendship was completely one-sided. He is therefore justified in believing that if 10 years back, a simple equation like Friendship was never granted a "legitimate" status by Sumo, with the subsequent heart-break that followed, what is it that has drastically changed in these 10 years, except maybe the passage of time??
3. LOVED the absolutely PERTINENT questions that Shravan asked Suman...if she was really sorry and truly repentant, what was it then that had stopped Suman from connecting with Shravan to make amends in these 10 long years? Why should Shravan believe that her efforts now are genuine and heart-felt??
4. And last but not the least...my most FAVOURITE part...the piece that I so, so LOVED! Shravan's choice of adjectives when he chose to describe himself and the 'lucrative' reasons for Suman's new-found "Friendship". Please note, that he only stated 'successful' and 'rich', but NOT good-looking! This despite the basic premise of the accusations being hurled by Shravan at Suman, was attributed by him, to the effect of the METAMORPHOSIS of the nerdy Shravan! "Successful" and "Rich" are inconsequential non-entities here...Shravan was always rich; it was also a given that he would definitely be successful (his intellect is for a reason)...BUT the real TRANSFORMATION has been in Shravan's physicality, with Sumo spurning him 10 years back, being the catalyst for the same!
DESPITE this, Shravan did NOT mention 'good-looking'!
Absolutely BRILLIANT!!
CVs, what a MASTERSTROKE indeed!!
👏👏👏
What does this then, signify to me?
a) Shravan's CORE! The guy has only changed on the surface...he has only gotten more worldly wise, BUT, deep within, he is still the Shravan of yore...with a great VALUE SYSTEM intact! Had Shravan uttered "good-looking", in that very moment, he would have trivialized everything...about himself and his IDENTITY! He would with that one utterance, have proven that he truly was and never will be worthy of Sumo's Friendship! A heart-felt THANK YOU, Shravan Malhotra, for NOT letting us down, and walking away with your head held high...both literally and figuratively!
b) Second, the other IMPORTANT piece...this was no Insult...Suman's CORE has been RATTLED! And, in my mind, I think an IMPACT of this nature was necessary...the reasons being manifold! Suman, to me, has some serious INTROSPECTION to do! She needs to question herself at many levels, find her own answers...and, in the midst of all this soul searching, she needs to ask herself the all important question...Shravan may not have spelt it out today, but does the supremely handsome & drop dead good-looking Shravan have anything to do with the transformation of Sumo's own feelings...from that of Friendship to Love!
The answer to this is obviously in the NEGATIVE, but, Sumo needs to find this answer and search within...
Shravan and Sumo have had a PAST
The TRAUMATIC memories of this past desperately need CLOSURE
Today was a LANDMARK step towards this
Tomorrow ShraMan start on a Clean Slate
Towards
Their JOURNEY
Called
"Ek Duje Ke Vaaste"
Cudos to you, Team EDKV
You are doing an EXTRAORDINARY job
You are truly making Indian Television PROUD!
👏👏👏
Cheers!

Loved your post! 👏 Very well said!
I also noticed that he did not use the word good looking, I thought he did not say it out of modesty but your POV is bang on! And yes, Suman needs some serious introspection at this point. She needs to dig deeper into her feelings and she needs to realise what Shravan had meant to her and what he still means to her after 10 long years.

They will start on a clean slate now and I can't wait to see what happens next.

bang on 👏
have nothing to say u as u said everything.
i was amazed the way he played the game. whatever he planned it happened according to that. he is successful. but m left with one question did this success give him happiness?
regarding suman yes she ll now question herself about friendship they had and as now the matter gone worse with goon spoiler if we go by, suman might take time but she ll move on. i dont see her turning back again.
and now the actual story starts. how ll they again become friends. as now i see they ll become strangers to eachother now

Wow awesome dear...very well written...sumo Ko apne hi mind me clear hona padega ki shravan uske liye kya hai..usko apni feeling Ko explore karna padega...shravan ki side se to clear tha ki he is madly love with her but suman always confused thi yaa to usne kabhi socha hi nahi...abhi bhi sumo ke lite shravan itna hi important hai to bar bar uski ego kyu bichme as jati hai...abhi yahi dekhna hoga ki kese Vo dono much effort lagate hai yaa nahi...suman be kya kiya hai shravan ke sath Vo to unfold hona baki hai par I m sure usne aese hi public me uski insult Kari hogi aur vese bhi Vo usko importance to vese bhi nahi deti thi so abhi vo matter unfold jaldi ho to maza aayega

Great post! You said everything! I love the part about Suman's Introspection needing to happen, and how she needs to realize the answer that is already there. Regardless of what Shravan said and how Suman comes across to him right now, she genuinely does like Shravan and I think she liked genuinely even back then! But, she definitely needs to figure out that for herself and then stand tall!
Btw, I love your posts! Keep up the good work! 😳

Your post was really good but somewhere I have to differ sumo was no where at fault she was young and carefree and with no thoughts of love just masty friendship and seeing shura an after a decade she is affected biologically and now has to do deep thinking regarding their future relationship

Yeah it's true that she was young and carefree but I don't think that's an excuse for taking someone for granted. She cared more about her reputation than her friendship with Shravan and if she was actually sorry about what she did then she would've tried to contact him in those 10 years but to her, his feelings or resentment was trivial. Though his method was harsh, it was necessary for Suman to get a reality check.

Wow well written post agree on all points. I don't say he humiliated her it's likely he showed her mirror and it's not only sumo her friends too I can see their shamed faces when shravan asking sumo questions. You may be cool or beautiful but you have no right to judge other people according to their appearances.

Brilliant post!! Especially about Shravan not mentioning his physical appearance. Sumo was guilty and repentant. Had she went ahead and spoken Shravan or tried contacting him and talking to him, he would have probably forgiven her.

It takes time and a lot efforts to heal wounds, especially the ones that are so deep rooted. Sumo knew that what she did was wrong. But she never really realized the impact it had on Shravan. She was ignorant and stupid when she was young. But now she is a matured and independent woman who can understand her actions and its consequences.

That being said, I don't think tit for tat is the best solution for problems. A public showdown was taking it a notch higher I felt. The younger sumo was ignorant but shravan knew that it would hurt her and yet he went through with it. He may have done it to make her realize what he went through 10 years ago. But his methods were not justified.

I hope they talk about it and start a fresh. They are both adults who are aware of their mistakes. This Sumo is a lot different from her younger version. She is not the same person. Shravan needs to see this. Now that she knows how he felt and what pushed him to carry out the revenge drama, she needs to give him and their friendship another chance. Friendships are not about appearances or ego. It requires lots of work from both the parties involved to keep it going.
