She was greeted in by her lovely Toshi Aunty who welcomed her with all the love that she needed at this moment... the love only a mother's heart could shower. Yet her eyes only searched for that one person who held all the might to captivate her heart and wipe away all the sorrow eating up her insides

There he was just behind her; drenched by the rain pouring outside. His long locks falling in front of his eyes... the water dripping onto his countenance. Ishita's hand reached out and pushed the hair back. Raman's glance fell upon her triggering a flutter in her heart. She rushed into the room and brought out a fresh towel with which he wiped his face and dried his hair. His mother took the now wet towel and asked him to freshen up. She turned round to Ishita and gave her a white shirt of Raman's to iron. The dutiful daughter that she was, Ishita immediately got the job done and set out the shirt on Raman's bed. He walked out the shower; his lean body on show. Ishita got startled and turned to leave. He told her to stay back whilst she refused... he pulled her to him as she felt herself fall on top of him. He straightened her up and brought her chin up with the tip of his finger. Pushing away the strand of hair loosened from her bun; he wiped a tear drop she tried with all her courage, to hold back.

Raman picked up the shirt from his bed and gave it to Ishita. She turned him around and made him wear the shirt. Having no energy left, she placed her chin on his shoulder and broke down. He pulled her apart and made her sit on the bed. She wouldn't let go and stayed stuck to him... sobbing bitterly.

He compelled her to move apart and sat on the floor right in front of her.

They walked into the living room; hand in hand and Raman pulled out a chair for Ishita and put some pakore in a plate for her and poured hot, piping tea from the teapot. He picked up a pakora and forcibly made her take a bite. She had it and smiled back at him. He playfully slapped her on her arm and nudged her to take more.

The duo relished the 'adrak ki chai' prepared by his mother and talked about the most mundane of things and this was when Toshi chipped in and began asking Ishita the most uneasy question. Raman held onto Ishita's hand from under the table and gentlysignaledher not to say a word as of now. Seeing thecreases form on her forehead; hepromised he would take care of everything!

All he said to his Mother was "Mom I'm handing you, her responsibility! Please take care of her..."

His mother smiled at his concern and told him to stay rest assured. However, she knew for a fact that something was off yet she remained silent for now ...

The next day, early morning Raman took Ishita to his lawyer and they got the divorce papers sorted out. Raman could clearly decipher that Ishita was apprehensive yet he stood firm on his decision.

She needed reassurance and here he was "I'm always with you... meri Madrasan!!"
