I can comment on dilshad's comment of the three steps as I simply found it too absurd. But the suicide and mahira part I have no clue as I stopped watching. Like what the hell? Is it a ceremony that follows like haldi, sangeet, mehndi, shaadi, suhaagraat, pregnancy news? Definitely they could have shown a track where she would be seen working and handling house.. Or probably a glimpse of her life in New York... her family as in aapi and jeeju were just used to introduce her and then BAM!
They disappeared never to be seen... Even their character ending wasn't justified.
I thought with the family pasts being cleared they could show how a woman can be independent too and manage a household. Also highlight the difficulties faced by them. Did ayaan never try and return or find out what happened to his family? Where did nikhat and badi bi go?
Did none of them even bother to look back?
They had a variety of choices but they showed this. By showing such mass murders they are only promoting the fact that you can DO SO and GET AWAY TOO as tanveer never paid for that.
I'm sorry if it hurts anyone's sentiments but this is the truth.
I think this discussion is far too deep and painful to rehash it all. I just give up on those soaps.
