My son shall rule, she heard her own voice resonate.

Unable to meet his eyes she continued

You shall for 14 years live the life of a hermit in the forest.

Her dark words bounced off the dark walls.

They echoed into a father's broken heart.

He stood with a slight smile.

You ask for little mother.

He knelt

His fingers sought her feet.

Her fingers hesitantly raised

Then clenched

A Tear slipped

One in sorrow

One in contempt

And

One in compassion
