Dil Mein Salman Ke Hai Dard-e-Saawariya

For the first time in his career, accomplished director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is feeling the heat! And the flame from which this heat is being generated from, has been ignited by no one else but himself. Sanjay Leela Bhansali is solely responsible for the disaster that is Saawariya.

The film has been panned by critics and viewers alike. No one has liked the movie, and most have found it boring. Saawariya could have been a totally different film had Salman Khan's 45 minute role was not reduced to a mere 5 minutes. That is probably the only one reason that Saawariya has become a bigger disaster than even Ram Gopal Verma Ki Aag.

Just to explain it in detail to you… SALMAN KHAN'S ROLE IN SAAWARIYA WAS CUT! And even Salman himself wasn't aware of this until he watched the final cut, at the premiere 2 days ago. Salman walked out of the theatre before the film reached interval point and was not at all happy… with Bhansali. Salman later told a television channel that his role in Saawariya had been cut and that his fans should not go to see the film, instead they should go and see it for Ranbir and Sonam. Salman gave 2 months of dates to the shooting of this movie, and in the end his fans only get to see 5 minutes of himself.

Salman has been hurt… his fans have been robbed… and a good film has been termed a disaster. Only and only Bhansali is to blame…

I believe there is some truth to this article as Salman's role was supposed to be longer. Salman said his role was extended in the film, and there were indications that his role was more than 10 mins long.

thats sad i was gonna watch it for Salman n Ranbir 😭

guys i am confused again.can sanjay leela bhansali do this to salman.i guess SLB is in the industry thanks to sallu dear who did khamoshi for him when he was a nobody.and he always thanks salman and acknowledges what he has done....so will he edit salman's role or is this also media's own cooked up thing.

i wonder why that happened! surely, it wasn't an issue of the film being too long... it's hardly 3 hours long anyway...! but i'm still waiting to see it, and whatever ANYONE says, no SLB film can be as bad as RGV's Aag! 😉

Salman's role was supposed to be brief but it was turning out so well that his role was extended and he shot for this movie for 40 days.

now when you shoot for 40 days, it definitely cannot be a 5 min role?? but thats what he is left with in the end.

it was a 40-45 min role in the movie and a humourous character though subtle.

and worse was salman didnot even know that his role has been edited until he saw the film at the premiere.

in that 45 min role, it was explained who is salman,how salman and sonam met, why she loves him so much etc. but because his role is cut these questions remain unanswered.


if bhansali had to cut his role, atleast he should have informed salman about it before he went about promoting saawariya.

even now his posters hang all over the city,but rani who has a 35 min role is nowhere in the posters.

bhansali has clearly used salman here.

but salman did urge his fans to support ranbir and sonam as they have been supporting him till now, after coming out of the premiere.

I watched the film today, Salman's role was definately cut and it is disappointing that it was. Rani's role was longer which was a good thing because I enjoyed her but I would've liked to see Salman in more than 5 mins!

It was very sweet of Salman to ask that people still go watch Saawariya for Sonam and Ranbir, after all this is their debut film and I think they've both made confidant debuts, they have a long way to go especially Ranbir

I saw the interview where Salman said that he is hardly there in the film so all his fans shouldn't go for him but for Ranbir-Sonam as the film belongs to them. He sure looked miffed but put up a straight face.

Now he must be infuriated because in all interviews he said that marketing is very important and since last time he didn't market Jaaneman bombed and SRK's marketing made Don hit. So this time he is marketing his film Saawariya and if SRK wishes then he would promote OSO too. 😛 He can't take back his words..........
