What's next for Kareena?

Post her film with Arjun Kapoor that releases this month, Kareena Kapoor Khan is yet to sign her next. There are two projects the actress is considering. One is a remake of Sadma and the other is a film with Sujoy Ghosh. Contrary to reports Vidya Balan wasn't appraoched for the remake of Sadma, it was Kareena and she is considering the project. A source tells us, "We don't know where the buzz about Vidya refusing the remake of Sadma started from. The role is for a younger actress and while Vidya is extremely talented she wouldn't suit the part. Kareena was the only actress approached for it and she is currently reading the script. She is also reading another script, to be produced by Sujoy Ghosh and directed by the Te3n director Ribhu Bhattacharya. It is an edgy, fast-paced drama-thriller."

Sridevi shot the original at age 19.

Well Vidya just turned 37, while Kareena will be 36 this year.

If 50+ superstars can pretend to be 25 why cant actresses do the same 😆

If Vidya is old for the role, then how come Kareena is not.. She hardly looks the age that Sri Devi was😕

Trust me, I have no qualms there.

I actively state I would love the 90s divas play leads in commercial films like their male counterparts...

But I was just wondering if the role itself will be changed because it is that of a teenager.

I"m wary of remakes. They hardly ever match up to the success of originals, not to mention, a certain film is received differently in one time period vs another.
