I apologize of the late post but wasn't able to watch the episode until last night. I see a lot of hate for Mahi and Twinkle's priorities going around but I must say that contrary to the popular opinion, I quite loved the episode. One of the things I love about this show is there is no unnecessary dragging and no over the top tracks that are not believable with the story line.
There are couple of things that have stood out to me in this episode. Twinkle and Knuj's relationship has progressed in last few weeks but only because of Knuj's selfless attitude.
The mention of a contract from Knuj was a reminder of boundaries between Twinkle and Knuj not just for Twinkle who had crossed a boundary in the last episode but also to us as audience.
It's not going to be all happy and perfect.
At this point its safe to remember that Knuj's belief from love has been broken. His trust from Twinkle was broken after the farmhouse incident when she continued to blame him for all of the mishaps and the facing the betrayal from her love, and was restored when she saved his life at New Year's. Quite the same with Twinkle too. But the confusion of seeing Knuj alway being there for her while also being the person who forced himself on her created a blurred the lines of his personality until he showed her the storm brewing inside of her because of those misunderstandings.
Continuing, the conversation between Twinkle and Knuj reflected not only the good nature and selflessness of Knuj but also how he himself hesitates to accept that there marriage is nothing more then a contract. Knuj is a person who justifies by his actions more then his words so when he does uses full sentences to reflect his thoughts, that thought literally means the world to him and comes form the bottom of his heart. After uttering about Twinkle's second tune in a pageant, he needed to remind himself out loud that he and she do not retain the rights of a husband or wife over each other in such a deep way that goes beyond lending a shoulder.
I think the conversation, the position of Knuj sitting on the chair instead of the couch and Twinkle instead of sitting beside him was in front of him was high symbolic in terms of their approach with one another. They both are much more closer and comfortable towards one another. Twinkle who most of the time tends to wear her heart on her sleeve has taken much more liking to Kunj while Knuj is more hesitant then Twinkle given the past misunderstandings. He will only walk towards Twinkle when she herself cries out his name like i before mentioned in previous episode's analysis that Knuj will require all kinds of validation from Twinkle before completely accepting her as HIS wife for himself.
I think distinctive parallels can be drawn here. While Yuvi and Mahi sought out each other, they both stood with their backs to one another while talking about themselves while Knuj and Twinkle have always been on the same page with their relationship. They both are discovering one another as life partners after all the misunderstandings that have been cleared and by standing besides one another in times of need since last few weeks.
In my opinion, Twinkle and Knuj have started considered their actions towards one another as a responsibility and since Mahi's and Yuvi's arrival, that act of responsibility, respect and apathy towards one another has grown stronger in its place. There trust is still developing and I think the verses playing in the background as Twinkle cleaned Knuj's injuries were very apt to the situation.
For Twinkle, her world is slowly moving towards Knuj. BUT it is important to realize that this is just the beginning and she has not wholly given her heart up because the past guilt of falling in love is still fresh in her heart.
I think the song's verses were more brought to light when she decided to not be part of anything that will make Knuj uncomfortable as he slept on.
I loved the moon light coming in the room at that scene. Twinkle is more awakened about the changes happening between her and Knuj then Knuj who is choosing to ignore the feelings until he can think through all of them without a hot head. Moon light over here symbolized the clarity of Twinkle's thoughts about her and Knuj.
She continues on living in her new world until the reality strikes her again in form of a video once again bringing out the young Twinkle in her who adored her baby sister and lived for her.
Twinkle is as impulsive as anyone can be. As soon as she feels the need to go after Mahi, and be with her, she abandons everything as it is to be there for her sister. Her love for her family is always the first priority and Yuvraj knows well to exploit that part of her to separate her new blossoming feelings that would be put aside once again.
Twinkle leaving the stove on with Knuj's favorite food in it detonates that fact how she will for now leave him out of her problems until they come out themselves, and ignore her life for the sake of another.
In one of my previous analysis I mentioned how Twinkle will ignore or break out of the promise she's making with Knuj to not do anything self sacrificing from her side for her sister and in turn hurt him in this track (coffee-water). That is coming into play here as she ignores him for the time being. However unlike last times, this time Twinkle will walk back herself towards Knuj, make up with him, strengthening their relationship. Makes sense?
I have to mention the role of Bebe in this. She was brought in for a purpose of keeping everyone underneath the Sarna roof together. Like a breath of fresh air she is, she makes sure to tell Knuj to start looking closely at his wife who had left herself out of something she enjoys for her. (obviously that changes in an instant as the familial love is what Twinkle yearned most for all her life rather then the new blossoming feelings.)
Knuj's joy here speaks more volumes then anything he has thus far done. He feels accepted by Twinkle after this gesture until he finds out she changed her mind and left him standing there high and dry. Knuj is accepted thus far by only two people in his family. His own mother and bebe who can clearly see the innocent heart her nephew has. The fact that for a moment Twinkle put his thoughts above hers made him aware that maybe this marriage after all is not just a contract or a deal.
Twinkle has left a flicker of hope on for him and he proceeds to brush it aside > he closes the fire ignited on the stove and keeps the heat from destroying the food < He will not let the growing closeness between them be destroyed as Twinkle will because of her impulsiveness.
Another thing that stood out to me in the rest of the episode between twinkle and Knuj was both walking away and looking back after one another when the other one turned away. One decision by Twinkle will weigh heavily for quite a while. I ddn't quite gather the verses of the song that played at this moment but I did caught on to the main part that described the love blooming for a minute and disappearing for a moment as both walk away.
Twinkle's decision will effect heavily upon her building romance and feelings for her husband and his transition to hold her hand but she'll be the one to save it as well, with the help of Knuj who will like always, will stand by her.
Coming over to Yuvi and Mahi, I want to point at the hatred that has brewed in Mahi for Twinkle. I must say that Shritama has been improving in her subtlety. Maybe she needed a bit of time to settle in her character?
Mahi is as submissive as anyone can be. A person who has such little self-worth for themselves usually feels the need, especially in a toxic relationship; to give as much of them as possible. After all the Yuvraj had done for her, that seemed like the perfect step until he rejected her advances. I said last time that Yuvi's plans made out in anger usually turn out badly for him. Before he stopped the surgery and delayed until he could get money and now he has stopped the wedding night shenanigans for stability. He's raising red flags himself.
He is using quite a lot of Mahi's weaknesses against her to turn her against Twinkle's words but not realizing that despite a weak heart that would mould for whoever grants her validation, Mahi also has a brain that needs reasoning from him.
Overall, I quite enjoyed the episode. I hope you all can bear through the end of this ver long and late post. xx
