The TV actress has appeared as Neerja Bhanot in a special TV series that aired on a GEC. Back in 2012, on the occasion of 65th anniversary of India's independence, the channel launched a special series honouring the heroes who have lived and died for the pride of the nation and people. And one of the episodes in the series was based on Neerja Bhanot and the hijack of PAN AM flight 73 in Karachi,1986.
