Roop Durgapal, who had quit 'Balika Vadhu' owing to the leap, will now play wife to Lakshya (Namish Taneja) in the show 'Swaragini'.
She will essay the role of an actress and a singer, something she is doing in real life, too.

Roop says, "I am lucky that I get to play a singer and an actress. I have been giving live performances since childhood and I continue to do so professionally. I hope to get an opportunity to sing in the show."
The actress, who was waiting for a good role where she could play her age, says, "I didn't want to play a mother so early in my career. This character is glamorous and has shades of grey."
