Story of episode 48 -2 Nov US

Mandodari is worried about Ravan. Sarama (Vibhishan's wife) tries to console her but Mandodari goes in search for Ravan.
Ravan's uncles, Kumbhkaran, Vali and Vali's people are all searching for Ravan.
Ravan's uncles think it is strange that they have to search for that person behind him the whole world is running. They decide that there is no need to search for Ravan because Ravan cares for Lanks a lot and will, therefore, come back to Lanka.(But how could they be so sure that Ravan was not in any trouble?😉)

Ravan is wondering how he got defeated. He is wondering if the boon given to him by Lord Brahma has proved wrong. (No, that boon is not wrong. That boon exempts you from being killed by anybody except humans. But the boon does not say that you cannot be defeated in a war.😉) He remembers his defeats by Sahastrarjun and by Vali. He imagines a dialog with Parashuram. Following is the dialog between Ravan and Parashuram. This dialog is imaginary and is imagined by Ravan:-
Parashuram - You broke my trust. Has Ravan's strength failed him?
Ravan - A defeat by Vali cannot shake my confidence.(This is a good thinking. One setback should not shake confidence.)
Parashuram - This confidence is your illusion. Your defeat is a bad sign for your future.
Ravan - Are you saying this because I could not do your job?
Parashuram - Parashuram does not need anybody's support. I did not send you to help me. If you become alert even now, then future is yours.

Vali keeps on calling Ravan. Ravan hears him and gets angry.
Vali laughs - Finally I found you. All are worried and you are playing in water.
Ravan shouts - Do not make fun of Ravan. You have come here to invite your defeat. This time, I will destroy you and all the monkeys. Go from here or else I will curb your ego.(Actually, your ego should have been curbed by now after suffering two defeats - one by Sahastrarjun and another by Vali.😛)
Vali - Calm down. Do not forget that you are standing before monkey king Vali. You are very brave. Do not show your weakness by being impatient. I consider you mightier than myself and, therefore, I have come here to embrace you. Accept my friendship. I won but I still accept defeat. Only I know the truth behind why you were defeated. I have got the boon that I will get half of the strength of the one whom I fight. Even with half strength, you were a tough match for me. You yourself tell who is the winner? You are I?(Vali shows his greatness here.😊)
Ravan - You have won my heart by telling the truth. Tell me what you want.
Vali - Only friendship.

They become friends and embrace.
Mandodari comes there. Ravan tells her about his friendship with Vali. Vali requests Ravan and Mandodari to stay in Kiskindha for a few days.
Ravan and Mandodari are honoured in Vali's kingdom. They are royal guests there.
Mandodari says that she wants to see the natural beauty of Risyamukh hill and Pampa region. (Yes, natural beauty is always good. Therefore, do not use much of cosmetics.😆) Vali arranges for the visit. Ravan and Mandodari see various places in Vali's kingdom and they are happy to see the natural beauty there.

Mandodari is sad because she is thinking over Ravan's marriage with Chitrangada. Ravan cajoles her. Initially Mandodari is angry but Ravan pulls her in water. Both play happily in water. (In those days, even grown ups played in water.😆)
Mayavi and Dunduvi(sons of demon Maya) see all this. On Ravan's command, they had come to Kiskindha to spread raksh culture. Now, Ravan himself has made friendship with Kiskindha king Vali. They are angry with Ravan. They think that Ravan treats them like servants. But they do not want to hurt Mandodari because Mandodari is their sister. They decide to talk to Ravan directly. They do not want Vali's monkeys to recognize them. Therefore, using their magical power, they take the form of buffaloes and go near Ravan and Mandodari. Since Ravan also had magical powers, he understands that the buffaloes are magical.

Ravan - Who are you two? Come back to your real form.

Mayavi and Dunduvi come to their real forms.
Mayavi and Dunduvi - We are fighting with Vali and you are making friendship with him. Is this your policy? Now we know that Ravan is an opportunist and he does not care about his kith and kin.
Ravan - You should understand the circumstance before saying anything.
Mayavi and Dunduvi - We came here to spread Raksh culture and not to sacrifice ourselves. Anyway, you do whatever you want.
Ravan - Yes, I will do whatever I want. You may go.

Mayavi and Dunduvi leave. After some time Ravan meets them.
Mayavi and Dunduvi - We will do whatever we want. Now, we oppose your Raksh culture.

Ravan gets angry.
Ravan - I want to spread Raksh culture - by friendship or by enmity. You continue your campaign of spreading raksh culture.

The time for Ravan and Mandodari to leave has arrived. Vali makes farewell speech. Mandodari invites Vali to Lanka. Vali replies that he would visit Lanks if he gets time. He also says that he is willing to see golden Lanka. (Vali lives in an area full of natural beauty. Therefore, he wants to see artificial beauty(golden Lanka). Mandodari lives in golden Lanka(artificial beauty). Therefore, she likes to see natural beauty.😉)

After Ravan and Mandodari leave, Mayavi and Dunduvi attack and kill many monkeys.

On the other hand Marich, Subahu, Khar, Dushan and other demons are killing sages.
Tataka meets Marich and Subahu. She is angry that they have not achieved anything big. She wants them to destroy Vishwamitra's hermitage.
She says that they should go to the hermitage disguised. Using his knowledge, Marich disguises Subahu as sage Vishwamitra. This fake Vishwamitra (i.e. Subahu) meets Ram and Lakshman. Ram notices that Vishwamitra's voice had changed. (Subahu should have got plastic surgery done by Ekta Kapoor. She changes even voice.😆)Lakshman touches Subahu's feet mistaking him as his guru. Subahu moves his hand towards Lakshman's neck. Hanuman comes there and hits Subahu. Lakshman is angry that Hanuman hit his guru Vishwamitra. He runs towards Hanuman in anger. Ram stops him and says that Hanuman did the right thing and tells Lakshman that this Vishwamitra is not real Vishwamitra. He signals Hanuman to continue. Hanuman beats Subahu a lot and takes out mask from his face. Hanuman bows to Ram and leaves.

Morales:-

• You can make egoistic people happy by praising them. Ravan is full of ego because of his strength. Vali praised Ravan's strength and Ravan became happy.
• Appreciate good qualities of even your enemies. Ravan fought Vali. Still Vali appreciated Ravan's might.
• We crave for what we do not have. Vali liked to see golden Lanka(artificial beauty) because he lived in the midst of natural beauty. Ravan and Mandodari were happy to see the natural beauty of Kiskindha because they lived in golden Lanka.
