Want to have more than two releases in a year: Sidharth Malhotra

Mumbai, Feb. 16 -- Sidharth Malhotra wants to do more films this year, as he feels he kept a low profile in 2015. "I want to make sure that I have more than two releases in a year, because people saw less of me last year. I am trying to plan that out," says the actor, who will soon be seen in film-maker Karan Johar's upcoming production, Kapoor & Sons, which also features Alia Bhatt and Fawad Khan.
Apart from doing more movies, Sidharth also wants to propagate mental fitness this year. "There are so many issues that I want to address. I want people to be more aware of fitness - physical and mental. I feel we are really consumed by our work. We live in a country where there are very few activities that we can do apart from work. We are restricted to the indoors. So, I am trying to associate with a cause, where we can get people out and have them indulge in outdoor activities," says the actor, who also wishes to spend more time with his family this year.
There's more to Sidharth's wish list for 2016. He wants Indian sports to grow. "I hope kabaddi becomes a hit, since it's a great sport," he says.
As Sidharth gears up for the promotions of his next, the actor says they will not be exhaustive, unlike the norm. "We have consciously reduced the length of the promotions to cater to the genre of our film. It's a very intimate and family-oriented movie. Keeping that in mind, we will promote it only for five weeks," he says.
Sidharth is also optimistic that the way films are promoted will change. "Producers plan to concise promotions to keep the mystery and buzz around their films going," says the actor.
