Kareena was asked about how she prepared for the role:
Kareena -I'm a director's actor. I do great work with amazing directors and I do bad work with some bad directors. Balki sir was sure of what he wanted, and our chemistry worked. And the character came to life. I'm an instinctive person, and an instinctive actor. I don't come with any preconceived notions on the set, no preparation. So I like to be steered in the right direction. My director has to take me down that road, he has to hold my hand...coz I'm still a baby.
Balki - Let me correct that. Complete rubbish. She's a fabulous actor, she doesnt need a director. Kareena's possibly the finest actor this industry has produced. She knows it all, instinctive. She doesnt do the usual kind of prep, but she understands the script better than anyone else. She knows every nuance there is. All I have to do is nod. She already knows it. All great actors always say that I'm a director's actor, which means I'm damn good I don't need a director.
