Nandini's attire
Mukti opened the door letting in Navya Nandini and Abhimanyu.
Mukti gave a ear to ear smile on seeing Abhimanyu. Abhimanya came forward and hugged her. Cabir came up to them and told them to come in. He gave a warm sweet smile to Navya, which she responded with an equally sweet smile.
Nandini's eyes fell on Manik who had till now moved towards the bar and made himself comfortable witha drink. Manik looked at her and their eyes met. Nandini lowered her gaze when his anger filled eyes flashed in her mind.
Cabir, Navya, Mukti, Abhimanyu, and Nandini got sitted on the couch.
Cabir seeing Manik at the bar, walked up to him and asked him to join them to which he denied.
Cabir- Kya hua tujhe? Aana udhar.
Manik- Nai yaar maan nahi h...tu jaana. U guys enjoy. Im good here. Jab maan hoga I'll join u guys too.
Cabir nodded and joined the others. Everyone was talking and reminiscing their college days. In between their talks, CaVya and MukBhi shared small eyelocks. Nandini was trying to avoid Manik's presence.
Meanwhile, Manik was looking at his friends, happy and smiling. He knew that Cabir liked Navya and Mukti liked Abhimanyu since college days. He was looking at their happy faces when his eyes fell on Nandini who was all lost in her thoughts.
Manik's POV
I was happy seeing my friends, my only family happy. They were happy and smiling while talking to the ones they loved. I had always told Cabir and Mukti to take a step ahead and tell their respective girl and guy about their feelings. But something or the other had always hold them back. I so wish that they finally express their feelings. Well, somewhere down the line I'm afraid too, I'm afraid that they don't get heart broken like me.
I was thinking all these when my eyes fell on the girl sitting next to Mukti, all lost. I remember her name, Nandini Murthy. A happy-go-lucky girl, always cheerful, laughing and jumping around. We had never talked much. She was my junior in college. She was a very good friend of Mukti. Mukti, Nandini, Navya and Abhimanyu most of the time used to hangout together. We had partied together at times. Cabir was always very fond of him. Talking about her and praising her whenever we were alone, chatting and talking about nothing and everything. She was like a little sister to him. And i agree, she's not that bad. But you never know after all she's a woman too and all women are same.
Yesterday when she came up to me asking about my whereabouts, though being disinterested answered her. Somewhere I also thought that she is not like all the other mean women. She genuinely cares for her friends, her loved ones and people around her. I've always seen her in college days being all caring and selfless for others. But yesterday when she took Alya's name, i don't know what got into me and all of a sudden i started hating her. I held her tight and i could see tears welling up in her eyes. I saw marks of my nails which i had dung into her arms. If i was that old Manik than i would have definitely left her and apologised but i was not that old Manik. I am the new Manik Malhotra who hates women to the core. At that time i had lost all my senses. All i could feel was hatred reviving in my heart for Alya which i had hidden in my heart all these while.
I couldn't take that feeling anymore so rushed out of the store. While driving i realised what I did and somewhere i did feel guilty. I knew it was not her fault. She didn't know about Alya's true self. Like everyone else in college she also used to think about Alya and me to make a perfect lovey-dovey couples. But alas! I thought of saying sorry the next in I meet her, but the hatred in me for women stopped me from doing so.
Today when I saw her all lost, I could see pain in her eyes. What was that pain for? Was that due to my behaviour? If that is so then well I'm sorry but that doesn't mean I'm gonna apologise. No never. Manik Malhotra never says sorry. But if the pain is not for me then what is the reason? Uugghh Manik, y are u so concerned about her pain and everything. Do u understand ur using ur brain for useless women. Cut the crap man. But y am i feeling so bad? Ok ok...i agree that's because I'm guilty for my behaviour. I know i don't know her much but the bits of i know her I can tell from that she is not like other women out there. Or maybe is. Whatever. Y do i care. Ok decided. Once for all I'll end this. I'll say sorry to her then my guilt will be over and all these shitty thoughts too.

Manik's thought was broken by Mukti when she called him to join them. Without any futher argument, he went and joined them.
Abhimanyu seeing Manik tried to start a conversation shooing away all the awkwardness.
"Hi Manik. Kaise ho?". Manik smiled and said "Theek hu. Tum kaise ho?". Abhi replied, "Healthy as a horse" and that everyone smiled. Mukti jumped into the conversation and said, "Guys, lets play something. Never have i ever?" Cabir, who was having some other plans of bringing Manik and Nandini close, he shook his head said, "Nai yaar, lets play truth and dare.".
Agreeing to Cabir, Mukti got a bottle from the kitchen and all settled in a circular position. The sitting arrangements was like this, Cabir, Navya, Mukti, Abhimanyu, Nandini, Manik and again Cabir. While everyone was enjoying, their was an awkwardness between Manik and Nandini.
Soon they started the game and Cabir spinned the bottle. It pointed towards Abhimanyu and he took dare and Mukti gave him his dare.
Mukti- Abhi, tumher murga banna hoga.
Abhi- Whattt..? Mukti are u out of ur mind?
Everyone burst into laughter. While controlling her laughter, Nandini holding his stomach said, "Perfect dare for u Abhi...chal ab ban murga."
Unknowingly, Nandini's laughing face grabbed Manik's attention towards her. But Mukti, Cabir and Navya's cheers and giggles brought him back to reality.
Abhi- Ok ok, m doing.
After Abhi's dare was done, Cabir again spinned tge bottle which stopped in front of him. Mukti asked him what will he choose to which he asnwered Dare. Mukti smirked and said, ''Well well, u gotto propose Navya, but by singing a romantic song"
Cabir spontaneously stood up with a flower from the vase nearby, asked for Navya's hand and made her stand up too. He knelt before her taking her hand in his and started singing:
"Ho... Ek ladki ko dekha toh aisa laga
Jaise khilta gulaab
Jaise shaayar ka khwaab
Jaise ujli kiran
Jaise ban mein hiran
Jaise chandani raat
Jaise narmi ki baat
Jaise mandir mien ho ek jalta diya..
Ho.. ek ladki ko dekha to aisa laga"
Navya blushed listening to this. Cabir got up after finishing his song. He slowly without getting noticed by anyone went close to Navya and whispered in her ears "I meant It". He went and joined his friends leaving behind a flushed Navya.
Cabir after completing his dare said,''So now, I've completed my dare. lets see who's next.''
Mukti spinned the bottle and it pointed towards Manik.
Mukti- So Manik, kya lega.? Truth or dare.?
Manik without giving any second thought said, ''Truth''
Cabir, who was planning something evil frowned listening to his answer. Not to spoil his plan, he almost attacked Manik saying, ''Kyun..kyun..dare kyun? Dar gaya kya huh?"
Manik made faces and replied, "Oh please. Main kabhi darta warta nahi hu. Ok"
Cabir thinking about what Is coming up said, ''Thik hain, then prove it.'' Manik accepted his challenge and said "Ok fine. I take dare. Bol ab kya karna hain". Cabir who was waiting for this was like Eureka cause he had hit the bull's eyes. Cabir smirked and calmly said, ''Kiss the girl next to you'' . And in response he heard Manik and Nandini shout ''What''. Others were finding it difficult to hold their laughs. Cabir, without paying any heed to Manik's angry glares and Nandini's shocked face said, ''Kya what yaar? C'm its just a dare. Kiss her cheeks. Bas. Be a man Manik''.
Manik knew it is useless to argue with Cabir so he sighed and moved forward to kiss Nandini's cheeks. Nandini, who did not know what to do and what will Manik do, turned her head to have a look of Manik's reaction. And...
and...and...
AND thats when their lips met each other leaving their eyes wide open. Everyone else present there was shocked. Shock will be understatement . None of them knew how to react. Manik and Nandini, who themselves were shocked too, quickly moved apart, converting Manik's kiss on Nandini's cheeks into a peck on her lips. None of them knew what to say or do. There was an awkward silence prevailing in the room.
To break the silence, Mukti said, ''Guys dinner is ready. Lets have our dinner.'' Everyone nodded their head in agreement and went towards the dining table.
While having dinner, everyone was talking expect Manik and Nandini. Both were silently having their dinner all lost in their own thoughts. Nandini's chain of thoughts was broken when Mukti, addressing NavNi said, "Thanks guys for yesterday's help. I must say ur choices are great. We three looked great in those outfits. Thank you so much" Nandini replied, "C'mn Mukti don't be so formal. That was our job. We are appointed to get you guys the best outfits. So it's Ok. Don't thank us. Aur ha, tumhara outfits k designs almost ready hain. If you guys want then you can come to Fantista to checl them anytime."
Aur humare Cabira bhai sahab, awkward situation ko mast mast karne k liye kud pare. Cabir said, "Bola...bola...hamara Nandini gangu bai bola..". And in response he got ''WHATTT'' from each and everyone. He replied to their reaction saying that, "Areey...ha Nandini Gangu Gai...woh Nandinu itne time se chup chap gungi ki tarah baithi thi toh yeh nam" And with this everyone burst into laughter.
They finished their dinner with some more hilarious talks and lames jokes of Cabir. They chatted for a while and Abhimanyu , Navya and Nandini got up to leave.
Abhimanya-So guys, ab hum chalte hain. It was nice meeting you all after such a long time.
Cabir-Same here abhi.
Abhimanyu shook hands with Cabir and Manik but confidently hugged Mukti to which she blushed a bit. Meanwhile Cabir hugged Navya and side hugged Nandini. Manik and Nandini avoided eye contact and Manik just shook hands with Abhimanyu with plain, simple bye, after which the trio left and MukBir stayed at Malhotra Mansion for that night.
