Yup, it's sort of confirmed. Though don't know how he bagged the role by beating many big tv stars in audition!DT indirectly kinda helped him. He was in the news as she bitched about him for last one year and industry went against him. For last few months, the table is turned as industry people came to know that no one is entirely right or wrong in this matter because of the obvious hide-seek-lie game that was soo obvious to them. Hence, SM has managed to resurface and now it's his time to gain some sympathy. 😆 And, NB (Nivedita Basu) has been instrumental behind SM's success of bagging this lead role.

SM was the first choice for EK's another show in Life OK more than a year back but due to off-screen issue/break-up hoopla EK chucked him out. Ironically later she finalized the actor playing Akbar in Maharana Pratap as the male lead of that Life Ok show. It was a big project that failed to impress the audience.

EK is usually very strict on such issues, specially when she herself chucked him out once. Seems like last 4-5 months happenings helped him to resurface in the industry.

Yes, SM was considered for Kalash and I also know why he was considered for that show in the first place. 😉 😆 That's why I was slightly shocked when BL people informed me SM is in for EK's next. Of course the sympathy flow is now in his favor as the industry witnessed it all and they can't be fooled anyway. Besides you can't corner a smart business woman like EK for too long.

This project will also fail to impress audience but like the current male lead of Kalash, it will be a high note in SM's career if the show manages to run for a year or so. Because no matter what, playing the lead role in a Balaji show is still considered one of the most prestigious achievements in Indian tv industry.

It's one of the factors, not the only or major one. But yes, it's a very old tactics to let concerned people know who's the boss.
