Breath of fresh air!!!

Hi I am new here...

I just would like to say is that it is finally nice to see a serial which seems closer to life than the other usual fare that we see on TV esp. those which start with a K.

I was getting tired of seeing the overdressed, extremely wealthy people in the untastefully decorated houses, saying the same stupid irrational dialogues over and over again. Most of the people in India are either lower middle class or below the poverty line and donot have any luxury to speak of. It iwas really irritating to see that most of the Hindi serials have absolutely no connection to real people, their everyday life and struggles.

Santaan is like a breath of fresh air, reminiscent of ' Buniyaad', 'Hum Log' and I hope it continues in the same fashion.....

agree with you, very very true. Its refreshing to see new serials coming up which are not K serials.

yup this indeed is a very nice show and def not like the balaji soaps which exhibit the same lavishness and all that other overboard stuff......this is very simple and sweet......im sure youll enjoy it.......and welcome to the forum....naina

u r right. it sure is fresh and simple. even i am new here and its nice to see people joining in.

i'm also excited about this show. both santaan and bidaii are new shows which i am hoping turn into something big.

as already mentioned they're simple and thats what i like about them. the women are dressed like the majority of viewers dress...not like some beauty queens like the rest of the soaps.
