Rohit Shetty never claims to make Oscar award worthy movies...unlike SLB who turns out shit in the name of art...so yes RS is a good director for the kind of movies he makes...atleast he is not conning people into watching his movies...u go to watch a RS movie...and that is exactly what you get👍🏼

I think he is. He knows what he wants and hes good at it. With RS you get what you see. His best work was CE and Golmaal 2, IMO.

Voted for a yes.

Bcoz he is someone(& probably the only one now) who makes clean family comedies or a clean masala entertainer .

Yes there should be more content oriented , meaningful & realistic movies in BW.

But then there is no harm in having a RS too to get plain entertaining non/least-romantic movies once in a while.

He knows his target audience & is clear (& unapologetic) about the type of movies he makes .

Difference is A Farah or Sajid khan also tries to do the same... The Result could be as disastrous as a HNY or a humshakals.

So RS is definitely far better than them.

Though i still hate his Bol Bachchan & Mrs.KKK's character /track ruined Singham returns for me even though i am not a Kareena hater.

I don't know anything and cannot judge on the technical work a director does, camera angles etc. But he's not a good story teller, not a good film maker. He doesn't know how to bring the best out of his actors. In fact I think he brings the worst out of his actors. I still have second hand embarrassment for SRK and the train scene in Chennai Express.
