Karisma opts out of 'Des Mein...'

The fact that the voluptous Sangita Ghosh is gaining increasing footage with the passing of every episode in Star Plus' Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand has had its first toll.

Karisma Tanna, who played Tina, has walked out.

When contacted, the shapely Gujju lass confirmed her exit.

Said Tanna, "Initially when I was introduced in the fast-forwarded version by Aroona Irani, I was told that I would be having a meaty role. Things were going as promised. But when the production changed hands, my character started decreasing in prominence.

Nowadays, I was appearing in just about one scene per episode. That really put me off."

Earlier, Des Mein... was produced by Aroona Irani. On date, Sanjay Wadhwa is in charge.

With the advent of Ekta Kapoor's Kkavyanjali, the show has also been cut to half its size in terms of running time.
