When will ram call her sitae instead of sita. That will be so special .

Hai i dont know hindi so well..
So can any one can say the diffrnc btw these two names...i mean only pronounciation diff or any other one pls say...i always want to know it

did ram actually call her sitae? sita is very clear about her name being her identity, that is sita and not janaki, why would ram then go on to distort it? I actually find it very irritating. hope in this show the character does not call her that.

Hmmm...in prev ramayana he used to call her sitae, its very cute bt i dnt knw why I don't like it.

Bt haa if he will call her sitae I will be ok.

Ram calling Sita as "Sitae" is not just special but grammatically correct as well😊

The names of feminine gender ending with aa (as in "after") since that is the prescribed vocative case ( sambodhana vibhakti)

Sita should be called as Sitae ; Urmila as Urmilae but while calling Mandavi and Shrutkirti this rule need not be followed

I dont watch this serial regularly but yesterday while channel surfing , i happened to see the scene where Sita calls Urmila as 'Urmila' and not Urmilae and I too kept wondering why the dialogue writers have ignored this basic fact , glad you brought this up 😊

Even janak used to call sita as sitae earlier !

Grammatically sitae is the correct word.

In sambodhan , we call sitae not sita !

I beleive he would call her priye or something ...as they are showing more modern kind of outlook in this series...

Well, the final "i" in Mandavi and Srutakirti will become hrsva (short) . As in Mandavi not Mandavee. WHile writing it sould be written as Mandavee, Shrutakirtee etc.

But English has its obvious limitations

I actually don't like the term sitee.. sita sounds spiritual.. I love the way ram call her sita.. same name but it sounds so special when it come from Ram:)
