End of every year some astrologer will say, how many of his/her predictions turned accurate. We also make a guess like them. Just that, we don't leave a record. Can you people make predictions on most anticipated movies of 2016? One can revisit the thread later and find out, who was best at predicting and who was worse.
It may be better to leave the bias for your favourites. That might help our prediction better. We can also leave Airlift out of the list, has already been released and getting reviews. So saying anything now, will not be considered as a prediction.
I am listing mine.
1) Dangal - It will not be a blockbuster.
(3 Idiots and PK. Both movies had VVC as producer, Hirani as director (also a producer in PK) and Amir as an actor). Now all the three men in the team are coming separately in 2016. One attempt (Waazir produced by VVC) failed. Up next is Saala Khadoos (by Hirani) and Dangal (by Amir).
Collection of Dangal will definitely be greater than Saala Khadoos which again will be greater than Waazir. But none of these films will reach the first two film's success. (Amir came alone with Talaash. It was not as good as Kahaani, nor it reached 3 Idiot's success).
2)Sultan - Will not be a blockbuster.
Most movies of Salman have had Salman playing Salman. But in the hit ones, these two (Salman's character and real self) have synchronised. If the character needs Salman's antics (for example HAHK or BB), those films will be super hits. When Salman acts without his trade mark antics (He can. He has shown in HSSH or Phir Milenge), his movies will not reach the same state. For Sultan, Salman has put a lot of effort. But Sultan does not seem to resemble Salman off screen. So I doubt, whether it will be hit like BB.
3)Fan - Average.
Reason : Trailer. Gives me a vibe, it will go in MNIK way.
4) Raees - Blockbuster.
Reason : Trailer. SRK with a beard, add to that his glasses. This movie gives a vibe.
In terms of protests, I feel it will draw maximmum number of protests out of the four movies (adding the fact, Mahira Khan's mock at Shiv Sainiks). But this time, it will favour ( protest = fame) film's collection. Dangal might not face so much protest, but it will be hit hard by the quiet disapproval.
5)Befikre - Will not be a blockbuster.
Adi gave DDLJ 20 years ago, when he was 24. Will he be able to create such a youthful movie when he is 45? (His earlier movie being RNBJ). Ranveer has to carry this film on his shoulder all alone. (Even superstars find it difficult to give a hit movie with a badly directed movie). RS might make it a hit. But the movie which will seal RS in the top league might come from a young director.
6) Phitoor will be average. So will be the adaptation of Mani Ratnam's Tamil movie.
Tere in Laden Part 2, Randeep Hooda's movie and Karteek Aaryan's movies might be surprise hits. Randeep Hooda's Do Labso Ki can go in Aashiqui 2 way.
Ranbir and Katrina will break up. Jagga Jasoos will be a hit like JWM.
