Chapter 61

Maneka took her luggage and placed it nicely above her seat... then she glanced at Chandni sitting near the window seat... "How do you feel now?"

"Why does everyone keep asking me the same silly question?" she snapped at Maneka who was quiet but shocked at her response...

Maneka failed to understand why Chandni was so rude... then she thought that it may be because of the medications..

Veer sat next to Chandni and Maneka sat on the opposite seat ...

"Can I get a drink?" Chandni paused at the air hostess ...

"Yes Maam...what will you have?"

"Umm..." She looked at the bottles...

"One glass of wine please" Chandni smiled at the air hostess...

"Sure Maam"

"Chandni" Veer prompted

"What?"

"You will have wine now?"

"So what?"

"Are you out of your mind" he snarled

"No thanks... just orange juice" he re ordered...

Annoyingly she sat back ...

Veer observed her and nodded his head in despair...

"When I was drinking... you had a problem...now I have stopped drinking... now you want to drink?" he retorted angrily...

She glared at him "I would never stop you... you can drink as much as you want"

"Why do I think you have changed so much?"

Chandni thought something ... "ok, i...I will do as you say"

"That's better" both smiled.

"Ok... now you go inside... I have to meet Manohar" Veer dropped her luggage at the door... and was about to leave when Chandni hugged him from behind...

"Wow..." he turned and hugged her back...

She gazed at him and sucked his lips...

Veer was still wondering what on earth she was up to...

"Chandni..."

She smiled... "I love you"

"I love you too..."

He kissed her back...

"Now go... Your Grandmother must be waiting..."

He left and she waved at him...

She knocked at the door...

Kamini opened the door...

"Chandni... my darling..." she hugged her...

Instead of hugging her back... Chandni moved away

"Yes. Yes..." and gave a fake smile...

"I am so tired... have to sleep..."

The moment she stepped inside the house she jerked away...

"Are you alright Chandni..?"

"Yes, I am okay... just tired..." she walked upstairs without looking at the temple near the kitchen...

"And yes...don't disturb me"

Kamini looked at Shama who was equally puzzled over her strange behaviour..

"May be the tiredness Kamini" Shama said

"But her behaviour was not good... she never talks rudely even though if she's tired..."

Kamini murmured

Veer was waiting for her outside...

"Hi Veer" she smiled at the handsome man standing next to the car...

"You are late???"

"So what?"

"Chandni, I am surprised, you never reach late anywhere... and you are quiet a punctual person..."

"Veer...come on lets go"

She quickly brushed off the topic and slid into the car...

They drove past the happy valley towards the city...

"Kaka will be so happy to see you" Veer said softly...

"What?? Where are we going?" she retorted

"To meet Kaka"

"I thought you were taking me for a date" she turned to look at him annoyingly

"Come on Chandni, you know Kaka is important. Once we meet him, after that I will take you for dinner"

She did not utter a word to him. Veer was not pleased with her brashness. There was something wrong with her, he just wasn't so comfortable with her whereas he used to die to be with her all the time. Chandni was always anxious about others, he failed to understand why she reacted so badly ... he squinted at her once... to his surprise she was smiling...

"Glad?"

"Of course"

Then he looked at her from top to bottom... He stopped the car immediately

"What are you wearing?"

She looked at him then looked at herself "clothes"

"Just a t-shirt...?"

"So?"

"Chandni... are you out of your senses... I don't want world to see you naked?"

She came closer "really?"

She touched his lips... Her fingers rubbed his hair... "You are so possessive about me?"

He shook her hand away "what are you doing?"

"Loving you" she whispered

He looked at her... another second she was kissing him madly ...

She held his hand on her inner thigh...

Veer responded back, he passionately kissed her...his fingers dig into her flesh.

He tightly held her closer

"Let's go to your house" she whispered in between the kissing...

Veer pulled away a little... "Chandni, are these medicines making you more seductive?"

She smiled... and continued kissing him all over his face and neck...

Veer draped his arm around her shoulder and opened the door...there wasn't anyone in the house... He closed the door and grabbed her by her hips...and her hands reach for his hair and mouth. He pushed her against the wall...she moaned into his mouth, and one of his hands moved into her hair...pulling her head back as they kissed savagely.

"What do you want Chandni?" he was breathes

"You" she gasped

"Where?"

"Bed"

He scoops her into his arms and carried her quickly and seemingly without any strain to the bedroom. He pulled her t-shirt over her shoulder. His lips part as he took quick shallow breaths.

Then he drags his shirt over his head...

He took off her bra ...

He bends over the bed and slowly crawls up and over, kissing her all the way... he pushed her legs apart with his and moves so that he's hovering above her... without taking his eyes off hers... he slams into her... Finally he collapses on top of her, his head buried in her neck...

As sanity returns , she opened her eyes and gazed at him...he stroked his nose against hers bearing his weight on his elbows, he plants a gentle kiss on her lips as he eases himself out of her.

"I really missed this" he breathed

"Me too" she whispered

"Well when we did this first time, you were so angry at me...and I tried again but every time you pushed me away" he said totally astonished at her reply...

She stretched herself towards his chest... "Forget about that..."

He gently kissed her on the forehead...

It was late night when he got up and saw her sleeping next to her...

"Chandni... wake up, you have to go home" he whispered in her ear

"Umm" she held him closer...

"Chandni...wake up"

Veer thought Manohar will come anytime and it won't look good...

Soon he heard the knock at the door...

He slid into his shirt and jeans and closed the door behind him...

"You are back?"

"Why didn't you come to see Kaka?"

"Chandni had some work in the office..." he quickly drank a glass of water...

"How is she now?" Manohar kept his bag on the bench top

"Hello everyone..."

Manohar and Veer looked up at Chandni standing in the mid-way of the stairs...

Manohar could not digest... "Chandni!"

Veer frowned angrily and walked towards her,

"What the hell are you wearing?" he tightly held her arm and whispered in her ear, slowly dragged her back to the room...

"Veer...what are you doing?"

"What is this Chandni...look at you?"

She looked herself from top to bottom... her hair all messed up, white t- shirt up till her thighs... "So what?"

Veer was almost getting mad at her "I will drop you home right now"

Kamini and Shama kept a religious ceremony at home which had to last until morning... it was whole night worshipping the goddess.

Few other ladies gathered around and started worshipping with the big plates that had some flowers, dry fruit and other religious items...

"Veer listen... I am sorry... please" Chandni tried to convince him but he was still angry at her...

"Chandni you go home and rest... and next time if you come out in t-shirt..."

She kept her hand on his mouth "fine... I won't"

Soon the car stopped outside the house...

"Now go" he looked at her...

She nodded

"Come on Chandni... we can tomorrow"

Sadly she stepped out of the car...

Waved at him and stepped towards the main door...

Veer reversed the car and left

One of the servants opened the door...

The moment the door opened... Chandni jerked back and saw the religious ceremony ...

"Stop this..." she tried to shout and was unable to step inside the house...

She pulled her hair

Every time she tried to put her foot at the entrance door, something pushed her back...

Kamini saw Chandni and smiled at first but then she saw something that shocked her...
