Break ke baad… Kanchi Kaul back

We caught up with Kanchi Kaul after a long time. The last we heard about her was that she had walked out of Sony's Ek Ladki Anjani Si.

Well, after a lot of coaxing the pretty actress, revealed to us that she has signed on a new daily show. This incidentally, will be her first show after a what seemed like forever one-year-break.

Looking forward to her new role, Kanchi says, "I know people wrote me off, but I was never out of work. I never gave explanations to prove that I wasn't being offered any roles. I got several offers, but none of them were really exciting. So, I preferred to lie low. But, I knew there was something good in store for me. Now, it feels so good to be back."

Elaborating on her character, she says, "I cannot reveal too many details about the new show at this point of time. All I can say is that it's a daily soap and I'll be playing the lead. I'm currently in the process of finalizing dates for shooting. The show will go on air in December."

So, why didn't Kanchi sign any show in the past one year? "Let me frankly tell you that I was not offered any meaty role after leaving Ek Ladki…I was in no mood of playing the role of lead actresses' best friend," quips Kanchi.
