Ch 56 : Guilt & Repentance Rey, Ranvijay & Rishi along with little Reyaan were in his cabin. Reyaan was sitting on couch, playing games on his father 's cell phone while the elders were busy in talking, away from his hearing.
"Uncle, Reyaan is mine & taani's child. Taani was pregnant with my child, Reyaan is your grand-son and whatever bad happened with taani 5 years back, it was because of me-" Rey told him everything, that happened between him & taani, and how much she had suffered because of him. By the time, he finished, he was looking down, too ashamed to face his & her father.
Ranvijay was looking at his son, not able to believe his son had ruined an innocent girl's life.
"You ruined her life! You left her after getting her pregnant." Ranvijay hissed in anger, staring at him with anger filled eyes.
"I know! I know and thats why i'm doing everything in my hands to mend things. I'm ashamed of what i did, but trust me, dad, i didn't knew she was pregnant, if i knew i would have never left." Rey said to his father, then his gaze fall over Rishi, who was looking down. Rishi was thinking over what Rey had said, after hearing everything, he was feeling guilty, miserably guilty for not being with daughter in her bad times. He knew she did a mistake, but the punishment she got, was too big and unfair.
"You are not the only one at fault, Rey, I'm ashamed of my acts, i throw her out of the house, instead of being with her." Rishi mumbled, Ranvijay kept his hand on his shoulder, in consoling manner.
"Where is she now?" Rishi asked him, looking at reyaan, who was lost in his own world. Rishi couldn't believe he is the same child he wanted his daughter to kill. How could he be so cruel to an innocent life? Now Reyaan is infront of him, he don't feel anything but love for this little angel, who is part of his daughter.
"Me, Taani & Reyaan are living together." Rey told him, Rishi gave a small nod in return.
"She had forgiven you?" Ranvijay questioned him.
"Not yet, but i'm trying my best to earn her forgiveness." Rey answered him, then look at Rishi who was lost in his own thoughts.
"Uncle, please forgive me, because of me taani had to went through so much-" Rey apologized to Rishi who gave a sad smile in return.
"Even if i want, i don't have right to be angry with you, Rey. You both were young, did a mistake, but what about me, I throw my pregnant daughter out. Why? Because i cared more about my reputation than her. But when she left, i realized there is no meaning of hight status, reputation when you don't happiness, My happiness was with my little baby girl, but i was too angry to realize that-" Rishi spoke, with moist eyes.
"I asked her to abort her child, but now when i see reyaan, i feel ashamed over my thinking. I happy she chose her child over me. She had done an excellent job in raising him, he is like you, but his eyes reflect my daughter's innocence." Rishi voiced out, his eyes were fixed on little Reyaan, who was sitting on the couch across the room and busy in playing.
"Your daughter is very strong, Rishi. Go, talk to her." Ranvijay said to him.
"And, Rey, I hope you have learnt your lesson and won't ever do something that will hurt her."
"I won't, Dad, I won't ever hurt her again." Rey promised his father, as well as himself.
"Papa! Mumma ka call." Reyaan came there, and handed him cell phone.
"Yes, Taani." Rey picked up the call.
"Hope Reyaan is not troubling you? If you want, I can come there to take him-" He narrowed his eyes when he heard her low tone from the other side.
"Have some faith in my son, he is not troubling me or anyone for that matter." Rey answered her.
"He is your son, thats why i'm asking. He is as naughty as you. Okay, leave that, did he had his lunch?" Taani asked him.
"Yes, and you?" Rey asked her back, while Rishi & Ranvijay were looking at him.
"Haa, Aur aapne?" Taani asked him, after a moment of hesitation. She hummed in in response getting a positive reply from him. Rey smiled to himself and cut the call, then he turned to Rishi & Ranvijay, who were looking at him. Rey cleared his throat awkwardly.
"I want to meet her." Rishi announced, wanting to get rid of the feeling called guilt which was eating him up from inside. And more than that, he wanted to meet his daughter.
"Okay. Lets go then." Rey said to him.
"Rey, I'm taking Reyaan home with me, Your mother wants to meet him." Ranvijay said to him, to which Rey nodded in agreement.
"Ye! We are going to meet dadii, Daadu?" Little Reyaan asked him, excitement lacing his words. Ranvijay nodded in return, making him happy.
While Ranvijay & Reyaan left for Singhania Mansion, Rey & Rishi left for their house, to meet taani.
