Finally the Dictatorship is down and dawn of democracy in Shanti Sadan. And for audience dawn of happy episodes I guess.
Now the question is what next? Is she going to fulfill her promise by gIving indivisual rights (mother of all rights), freedom and to live life in full?

There are two courses of democracy. 1.Democracy under invisible Dictatorship (as Kaushalya requested Riya can not sit in jhula). or 2. Real democracy, democracy of people where people sense the absence of misuse of state power (like dadi did) and feeling of peace and prosperity.

As dadi mentioned she has the capability inside, that will come out and run the shanti Sadan. Now it is in her hand to bring the changes in people's lives and shanti Sadan. I think she will do just great since she is solution orientate person but I guess there will be problem time to time not from dadi and Kaushalya but from people (Nimmi, Preeti and other). And she keeps moving forward by learning to deal with the people and solving the problems. And Kaushalya said if she fall down they will put 'malamute patti'.

I think the main culprit in whole serial is Sarala and dadi's love for Sharala. Daadi whose husband died when she was young instead of getting married and leaving her two young children spent her whole life raising them. Like they said about how Sarala in childhood, she never changed, neither she is good daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother or now a mother in law. Her two children also became like her. Sarala and her two kids have been lying too much to daadi that she believes and only doubts sometimes. She only wants Riya out of the house as she fears that she would not be taken care of now that she is old. Amit lied that Riya is after him which made daadi feel worse towards Riya.
And believe me, I have seen women like Sarala in my life. I have even seen woman who would have somebody else's child and ulta taana maro to husband that he was not able to give her a son.. lol

I agree. I have realised over time that Shanti is not really that bad. She showed her other side recently during Preeti fiasco. I loved how fiercely she protected Preeti, how she wept for her. Even now, she worries for Preeti and takes care of her in her own way.

Shanti is gray, she is not all black. But Sarla on the other hand is pure evil, all black! I swear I cringe each time I see her on the screen these days. Just cannot stand her.
