Guys this is really weird but I feel like this story and ragya's love story parallel very much. By no means Im trying to say it is plagerised but Im saying that they are similar. Im not talkimg about the current Ragya track but Im talking about Ragini's viewpoint of love and Lakshya.
Im talking about book turned famous movie Gone Girl. Ragini and the protagonist/antagonist(the girl is good and bad in the book just like Ragini) of the book both have this obsession termed love with their man which leads them to do bad things to both the man and those around them. They are not necessarily negative but infact they almost feel that EVRYTHING IS FAIR IN LOVE AND WAR. This obsession has lead them to spoil relations and commit very wrong thimgs yet feel that they are right in their position. They have gone to boundless extents to save and attain their love. For those of you who keep saying that Ragini is a psycho( I believe that too) must understand that the makers are actually trying to potray that sanity is lost in love and leads ppl to commit things they do not mean to. Its a weird logic but its true...What do u guys think?P.S Mods i do not know if this comparision is permitted nd im sorry if i broke any forum rules.
your right love is pure, but once is turned into obsession it is unhealthy and any bad actions cannot be justified if set out for public viewing. moral values would deem them wrong and criminally inclined, and in the real world either both should walk away, or one will end up killing the other. either ways obsessive love always ends badly.Originally posted by: .IPKKND.

your right on that, its not about love or obsession anymore but about ragini's selfishness, she is totally jealous that sanskaar loves swara so selflessly. she is envious of the relationship swara and sanskaar have because she knows that she can never have that with lakshya.
I think Ragini has gone beyond "Everything is fair in love and war"... She has turned into a selfish monster.. She knows Swara is not after Laksh ... And now she thinks LAksh is falling for her... YET.. She still doesnt want Swara to be happy. And she is delusional thinking still that she was right in doingg everything she did and Swara was wrong.. SO this is beyond obsession with Laksh.. This is now just selfishness

i don't think that is quite accurate...though i do understand where you are coming from.
the reason i feel it is different is because in that the girl goes to an extreme of writing an entire fake diary to project that her husband is torturing her and to send him to jail in revenge because of his affair but also because she is psycho right from day one...she is not turned into one by situations. she is obsessed with him (hurting him and trapping him) but at the same time, doesnt mind using other men for her advantage and killing them in cold blood.here this ragini for all the obsession that she too has, she actually really loves Laksh and cannot see him physically harmed or in danger even when she knows he is one who is trying to kill her. if he returns her love, she is willing to do be the way he wants, and be docile and loving.there in the book, she was out to get revenge and then trapped him in the end in a hell that he couldnt get out of. she was sinister and integilent at a diabolical level. ragini is more a pawn trained by her dadi and some things copies sanskar's previous plans. when she does think of something on her own ...its is more lashing out emotionally rather than shrewdly.she will need to suffer for her redemption to really happen, betrayed by laksh to realise the true value of those she had pushed aside and hurt for him. but the in book, you couldnt have redeemed the girl.
You came up with a very interesting comparison indeed.
First of all, I love that book and movie. So well-written and such complex characters.
Though the complexity of RagYa's relationship on Swaragini is more accidental than intentional, it's certainly quite real.
Such relationships do exist in life. Maybe the Swaragini CVs are not trying to justify evil winning over good, but just trying to show that two flawed-one actually degenerate-individuals can come together and find love.
Amy was totally psychotic and could go to any lengths for her wants. Ragini is more or less the same. Lakshya and Nick are also quite similar, in that they are not exactly model human beings, though not as bad as Amy/Ragini.
