Yes, he was married to Janki who died by fallimg off the stairs. Their had Ragini. Shekar and Sharmishta were in love before he got married but his parents didn't want him to marry Sharmishta cause she was bengali so they married him to Janki. And Sharmishta never told him that Swara was in fact his daughter.
