I am not going to give any excuses for not updating.😳

Here you go with the updates.

Chapter 3

A new day came with new promises. Arjun woke up to the sound of someone thumping the floor somewhere in the house. He got up and opened the bedroom door. A small smile blossomed in his lips as he saw Riya jumping around like a small kid to an unknown tune.

"Arjun 2"

A happy Riya ran to him skipping steps in between. Arjun held out his hands to stop her from falling, to his shock, Riya jumped on his and hugged him like a kid locking her legs behind his back.

He froze for a moment. In his memory that was the closest he was with any woman. He knew that this Riya is nave and she is not aware of what she is doing to him. Yet the hormones in him couldn't help but to feel provoked. He mentally chided himself for such thoughts.

He carried her like that to her bathroom. Inside the bathroom, he settled her down. Fishing out a brand new brush from the cabinet, he handed it to her and asked her to brush. She nodded in denial and pointed at him. Having no choice he went and got his toothbrush. They stood, side by side, near the sink and brushed their teeth. Arjun washed her face with water.

After getting ready, Arjun came out of his room to go to office. That is when he spotted Riya. Her presence made him remember that he can't just leave her alone. Having made up his mind, he took her along with him.

Riya was in awe seeing the ETF building.

"Arjun 2, which is this place?", asked Riya innocently.

"This is where your Arjun 2 works", answered him.

Riya was about to ask another question when a loud clash diverted their attention.

Sakshi was coming out of the pantry with coffee lost ion her thoughts. She was waiting for Arjun to come so that she can speak to him and make him realize that Riya will be a burden for him. She was mentally revising her plan when all of a sudden she saw a happy Arjun and an enthusiastic Riya coming towards conference room. The coffee cup slipped from her hands and broken into pieces resonating the sound startling everyone.

Riya got scares and hid behind Arjun. He kept his hand upon her hand comforting her. He just gave a look to Sakshi and others and took Riya to his cabin. Sakshi slumped on her seat as others came forward to comfort her.

"Chotu, go and call Arjun. Tell him that he is needed in conference room. Only him",

barked Sameer.

After a few minutes Chotu came back with Arjun.

"Arjun, what the hell do you think you are doing? You saw her in that shabby room and you saved her. Then you took her to your houses and now you are bringing her here? What exactly are you planning to do? We know nothing about her and her backgrounds. Why can't you just admit her in another hospital and get rid of this case?"

Sameer was boiling like a volcano while saying this. He was irritated with his friend's sudden changes. But he failed to notice the anger building up inside his friend.

"Enough Sameer. You have spoken enough. She is not some waste' to get rid of. She is a human being. As I said before, all I want is to make her normal. No one, I repeat, absolutely no one can change my mind. I want her to be normal and unite with her family"

"Arjun, what if she doesn't have a family?"

"Of course she does Sameer. Haven't you heard her? She was speaking about some Arjun. The way she speaks about him I am sure that he was her lover"

"What if that guy is no more? What if she became like this because of his death?"

"SAM"

"Don't shout Arjun. Havent you heard her saying her Arjun is a ghost? May be afterall she is saying the truth. May be he is dead. That is the only possible solution. So what will you do then?"

Arjun was quiet as he had no answer to this question. The mere thought of Riya's Arjun being dead saddened his soul. He looked at Riya through the glass doors. She was drawing something on the a piece of paepr Arjun had given her. Suddenly she looked up. Their eyes met. She gave him a dimpled smile and went back to her drawing. And he got his answer. He looked up at his collegues who were eagerly looking at him.

"If that is the case, if Riya has no one to take care if her... I will take care of her. I will protect her till my last breath."

A collective gasp was heard.

"Arjun..."

"Sam, I can't just dump her in the footpath. She is too precious for that. She makes me happy her dimpled smile. Even though she is unaware of it, her closeness makes me feel alive. When she clings to me like a small child, I can feel a hope, a hope that she will be with me forever. When she looks at me with her twinkling eyes, I feel to kiss her senseless. And when she cries, I just feel like I am losing a part of myself. I don't know Sam, I just don't know what to make out of all these..."

With that she slumped onto the floor heavy with emotions. Everyone could feel the agony in his voice. Sameer rushed to his friend and engulfed him in a hug. Arjun held onto him.

"Arjun my friend, you are in love!!!" Arjun looked up at Sameer hearing this.

"Am I in love?"

Sameer nodded his head in agreement.

"Arjun 2"

Everyone looked towards the sound and found Riya standing outside and looking at them. She was chewing one end of her long skirt nervously. Her eyes were shifting between the team members.

Sensing her uncomfortness, Arjun stretched his right hand towards her and beckoned her to come. Taking baby steps she reached to him. She clasped his hand and knelt down beside him.

"Why are you crying Arjun? Did anyone scold you?"

He chuckled at this question. He nodded his head in No'. Relief washed over her face. He cupped her face and cleaned out the pen marks on her cheeks. With his finger he brushed her hair arranging it properly. After finishing that her gave her a smile. But her next action stupefied him.

Riya lifted her hand and started wiping his tears. More tears flew form his eyes at this gesture. She frowned and continued to wipe his tears. When she realized that her hand is getting wet, she used her skirt end to wipe his tears. Arjun, sensing her effort tried to control his emotions. He pulled her flush against him and hugged her tightly. She was shocked for a moment but then melted in his embrace and started playing with his shirt.

ETFian's looked at them. Everyone had a warm smile including Sakshi. It's true that she loved Arjun, but it doesn't mean she will go against his happiness. That's what true love is, isn't it?
