I am almost done with my AD deadlines (due by tomorrow morning) As soon as I am done with my AD deadlines, I will escape to my SKD - Second Chances.

This has been the hardest couple of months with insane deadlines and things that needed to get done. And on top of everything, my kid broke his thumb and was in a cast. Happy to report that his thumb is fine, the cast came off yesterday. So...

Sense of enoughness... an apt title, actually perfect for this update. However, I'm not feeling that enoughness at the moment. Your greedy, SS wants more dammit!

The ease and flow of this update is what stood out for me. Yes we had the emotions, your mastery written words, but what I appreciated was the way you showed them play out.

We start with Arnav realizing how Maya was not okay, something was bothering her. And it hits him, it was related to their son. What he does is commendable, trying to confront her to eliminate her concern. We all know it won't be easy for Maya, but him not pushing it aside and helping her through it, is what will make all the difference.

So someone wants to take our Arnav out for coffee... um... no! He is taken! That scene had me smiling ear to ear. Loved it!

One of the things I have admired about Second Chances is your approach to autism. And Mohan is my jaan, who holds a special place in my heart. To see his struggle is heart wrenching, but to see how Meera helps him through it is heart warming. Ahhh that was deep, and so so so touching my dear SS. Take a bow!

That bit where Khushi's apprehensions creep up, was as realistic as gets. After all it's only been one week since arrival to India!

The end left me with hope, and yearning to see the actually day that these four become a family... for that I shall wait, knowing you won't disappoint. 🤗

Be brave enough to use your voice - at the top of my list is Mohan he used his words !! Many may view him as difficult child and shy away from engaging with him .. but not Khushi or Meera. .

As much as we feel we have to teach our kids, we have a lot to learn from kids- Meera especially - she astutely observed ASR.. to ensure Mohan is taken care of... NK is smiling down from Heaven

Be brave enough to listen to your heart - Maya for saying in very few words that heart perhaps was hurt for Mohan not needing her, for missing out on time with Mohan..

For Arnav to recognize her may have unintentionally hurt Maya but also to acknowledge that he needed to convey to Khushi how much he missed her ..

(Even Ms Deo for asking Arnav out on a date!! )


Be strong enough to live the life you imagine - Khushi saw a family - their kids - Arnav and hers !!

There's no expiration date on attaining happiness nor is there a time limit on grieving...ever..

For Khushi, an understanding, a realization.. that NK would have wanted her to be happy..

You really said it the best 'She didn't have to lose one to gain one. New beginnings did not preclude love for the old' ..

However box number two in the attic needs to be opened !!

Mira I simply adored and loved this chapter.. a happy 'wala' one ...I look forward to many more in 2016 !!

You know i think your biggest victory lies in the way you write Mohan and Meera. You are destined for a bigger audience, greater readership and ardent devotion that comes to the best out there, my friend. Don't ever forget that. I hope to be able to see you achieve it someday.
