Chapter 19

Love Me Like You Do

Alya died with Manik's blood in her body; the first condition of turning a person into a vampire, if they die with a vampire's blood in their system. Step two she will wake up as a vampire and the transition is completed once they drink the blood. Now even Alya was fated to go through the same and live for eternity or die without drinking blood and completing the transition. What would she do? That was a question which only Alya could answer.

Manik picked up an unconscious Nandini in his arms and walked towards the car and asked everyone else to take Alya to Malhotra Mansion as it won't be very easy for Alya around humans when she wakes up. "Manik is right mom." Dhruv said "When she wakes up having Nandini around her will complicate the things. We can talk to her and explain things to her and then we will see." Neyonika and Vikrant agreed with Dhruv and they made their way towards Malhotra Mansion.

Soon Dhruv, Neyonika and Vikrant reached Malhotra Mansion. Dhruv placed Alya on the bed and they all waited for her to wake up which could take hours. "this situation has gone terribly out of control." Vikrant sighed. "I know a poor girl is cursed with darkness for a lifetime but don't worry we will protect her." Neyonika tried to bring in some positivity. Dhruv sat their silently caressing her head and thinking "if only I could have stopped myself tonight from drinking her blood she would have been dead not a vampire. I am the one who did this her and I will now protect her." A sense of guilt and possessiveness engulfed Dhruv.

Manik laid an unconscious Nandini on bed; he covered her with duvet and sat next her caressing her hair. He kept looking at her milky skin, her long lashes that cupped her big doe eyes, her pink luscious and pouty lips. He caressed her lips with his thumb and said "this is what I wanted to protect you from Nandini." He bent down and kissed her forehead and she quivered under his touch. Manik stood up and turned when he felt a small pull. He turned back to see Nandini looking at him and she was holding his hands.

"Nandini." Manik tried to free his hands and turn away from her. "where are you going?" she asked him as she got up from the bed and stood in front of her. "What are you doing Nandini? You need rest." Manik said trying to take her back to the bed. "No Manik I need truth. What was that which I saw in the woods? Who are you people? Who are you Manik Malhotra? I need truth this time." The determination in her voice made Manik restless. "Truth!" he let a sarcastic smirk "you will not be able to handle truth Nandini." Even Nandini smiled sarcastically and said "I told you earlier too you just don't know me." "Fine here is your truth." Manik sighed as he geared up to tell the truth and hated by her in return.

"My name is Manik Malhotra and I lived with my brother Dhruv and my family in Dharamshala 500 years back. We lead a normal peaceful life I was a normal 20 year old who was helping his father in the family business until one day they arrived." Manik took a pause and Nandini asked "who arrived?" Manik walked to the terrace and said "vaidehi and her family. They were two sisters Vaidehi and Vaishnavi who were taken care by their elder brother Abhimanyu. They were mysterious family; never spoke to anyone and never mingled with anyone. It was a cold winter morning when I was returning from a nearby town from a wedding when I saw her first on her terrace drying her hair; her big long and black hair, her big black eyes and her smile I felt myself lost in that smile. Vaidehi epitome of beauty and innocence.' Manik sighed as he traveled back in time to that cold winter morning and continued "I knew I fell in love with her hopelessly but she always avoided me for some reason or the other. The more she avoided me the more I was drawn to her; she was like a magnet."

"it was the day of dussehra fair in Dharamshala; the entire town was decorated and everyone was having fun when I finally got hold of Vaidehi and dragged her to a corner and confessed my love to her. You know what she said; she said manik I am darkness please don't come near me.' But I was too much in love with her to realize what she was saying and without thinking twice I kissed her; she resisted but then she gave in. that was the most beautiful night of my life when my life, my love , my vaidehi was in my arms. We made love and became each other's forever; my life seemed bliss. Until.." a lump formed in his throat and Manik stopped. Nandini put her hand on his shoulder and said "Until?" he turned to her and tucked a few loose tresses behind her ear and caressed her cheeks.

"Until one day I noticed few bite marks on my neck which was giving immense pain to me. I went to the doctor who told me that it's a bite; bite of a mystical creature and he also told me that Dhruv also came to him with the same complaint. I was startled and rushed to confront Dhruv and that day I realized that Dhruv was in love with Vaishnavi but what startled me that Vaishnavi and Abhimanyu has been drinking our blood. My blood boiled with Dhruv's information and I went to confront Vaishnavi and her brother and also Vaidehi about the mystery."

"As I entered their house I found Vaishnavi and Abhimanyu feasting on my father and mother and they were lying half dead and vaidehi was watching it all instead of stopping. In a fit of rage I pushed Abhimanyu and pierced a sword across his chest but to my surprise he didn't die but he took out the sword and killed my parents with it and threw us brothers across the room breaking all the furniture; his power and speed astonished me. I felt week but I still got up with any power left and found vaishnavi rushing to me with a sword but Dhruv came in between and sword ran across his body but before dying he pushed a wooden dagger through vaishnavi killing her. Dhruv fell in my arms saying sorry for all that was happening. Before I could sinking the reality I saw Abhimanyu again coming to me with blood in his eyes and fangs out of his mouth but before he could attack me I picked another wooden dagger and pushed it across but it went staright to vaidehi and she fell in my arms saying this is why I asked you to stay away from me.' And she died in my arms and Abhimanyu killed me too."

Manik closed his eyes to hide the pain; the anger and the rushing blood as he continued "I woke up feeling dazed and thirsty and saw Abhimanyu standing in from of me with a girl and before I could register anything he made me drink her blood. Once I started drinking I felt my thirst going away, I felt content. Abhimanyu looked at me and said welcome to life of death; welcome to darkness Manik Malhotra' and he vanished. I stood there and saw my parents and Dhruv all right and that's when I realized that I am a ." but before Manik could complete Nandini whispered "a vampire; you are a vampire."

Manik turned towards Nandini with blood in his eyes, skin crinkled, he said "this is who I am Nandini, a vampire. I am a living dead for the past 500 years and will be so for the eternity. I am darkness. Stay away from me." Manik expected her to be scared and hate him but what happened was totally unexpected by Manik. Nandini closed his eyes and sucked his lips, she caressed his cheeks and Manik felt a calm and peace embracing him. "Nandini." He tried to speak but she sushed him by saying "Calm down Manik. Let me heal you." Before she could kiss again Manik stopped her and said "Nandini you have no idea what you are getting into please." Nandini smiled and climbed his feet and cupping his face she said "Manik I was 15 when I discovered I was adopted. I saw my parents die in front of me so I know what I am dealing with. I am in love with a 500 year old vampire; I love you Manik and you can't stop me from love you and you can't stop yourself from loving me."

"oh Nandini!" Manik sighed brushing his lips against hers. In a reflexive action he pinned her against the wall and whispered huskily "I love you Nandini!" and he claimed her lips for deep soul searing kiss. Nandini too responded with equal fervor as she dug her hands in his hair. Manik bit her lower lip making her moan in his mouth. She parted her lips and he entered her mouth explored every corner of her mouth; he sucked her tongue. Nandini moved her hands from the nape of his neck and started unbuttoning his shirt. Manik made his way under the slit of her dress and caressed her thigh and wrapped it across his hips.

On finding her out of oxygen he left her mouth and started kissing her neck; he bit her earlobe earning a hiss from her. He left a trail of wet open mouth kisses on her neck, collar bone and her cleavage. He bit her cleavage making her moan "Manikk." By now Nandini was in throes of passion and she pushed Manik on the bed and started kissing all over his bare chest and chiseled abs leaving him wanting and asking for more. He dug his finger in her silky hair and pulled her up for another kiss. While still in the kiss he flipped their position and ripped open her dress and covered them with duvet. He left her lips and entwined her hands with his and pinned them to the bed as his mouth traveled to her neck and her breasts. He sucked her breast hard making her hiss in pain and pleasure. She arched her neck to experience the passion and heat of Manik's touch.

Manik left her breast and took another one for the same sweet torture. By now he left her hands which were giving scratches on his back and his one hand was caressing her navel and the other her feminine spot. Manik moved further and kept caressing her navel with his lips but did not kiss it as his hand still caressed her feminine part Nandini experienced her first orgasm of the evening. After getting his breathing under control he took her in his arms and saw few tears and said panicking "hey I am sorry Nandini if I hurt." But before he could complete she pecked him and said "I have never felt more complete." And hid herself in his embrace.
