Bajrangi Bhaijaan Salman Khan
Salman Khan had arrived in the middle of the year to provide a relief to the drought stricken box-office suffering from regular flow of income. Baahubali did work its magic but it was Bajrangi Bhaijaan, the arrival of which had the box-office going berserk. Bajrangi Bhaijaan had collected around 320 crores in the domestic market alone and has registered itself as the second highest Indian grosser of all times. The movie had collected way beyond the 600 crore mark worldwide in spite of the competition by Baahubali. Salman Khan had gone beyond his action image for this adorable flick and the audience and fans could not help but lap up to Salman Khan's simpleton, Hanuman Bhakt image. For a change the critics too had to bow down to this dominant factor of bollywood called Salman Khan. Bajrangi Bhaijaan is the highest earning Bollywood movie of 2015 with the second highest staying far far away from it.

Sultan Salman Khan rules bollywood in 2015
Salman Khan's two movies of 2015 alone have crossed the 500 crore mark domestically with Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo jointly earning around 530 crores in the domestic market alone. But the bigger record is the fact that Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo have jointly crossed the thousand crore mark worldwide. Now that's a record meant for the Sultan of Bollywood alone. This is not the first time that the actor has given bollywood the highest and the second highest earners. Infact this is the fourth year that Salman Khan has repeated this feat. Including 2015, Salman Khan gave bollywood the two highest grossers of the year in the following years.
- 1999 with Hum Saath Saath Hain and Biwi No. 1.
- 2011, with Bodyguard and Ready.
- 2012, with Ek Tha Tiger and Dabangg 2.
- 2015 with Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo
Apart from this, Salman Khan has given the industry the highest grosser of the year for a total of ten times. That's a record probably no individual bollywood actor might ever break.
With Bollywood struggling to give blockbuster hits in 2015, the industry could come up with just two 200 crore grossers and both of them belonged to this man. Salman Khan has easily carried bollywood on his shoulders for this calender year. If at all the business of Salman Khan's two releases are wiped off, what you get is probably the lousiest year for bollywood. Now with Salman Khan having only Sultan at hand for 2016, we hope Salman Khan yet again gives us a fantastic movie and breaks more records. Until then one cannot deny the fact that, Sultan Salman Khan rules bollywood in 2015. He is loved by the masses of every generation.
