"The savior came down to settle all accounts of sin so that we would be forgiven. The season of Christmas starts from Advent Sunday till the day of Christmas, almost covering 30 days."
It had been several days since they were asked to go for an interview of Santa Claus. The duo finally started their journey to Santa's house on December 24th. They reached his house, only to find it empty.
"Oh my God, it's empty!" They found two rugged diaries where one was Santa's and the other was Rudolph's. Edna grabbed Rudolph's diary and Deboleena took Santa's.
Let us s e e what they're up to.
"The Eve of Christmas is one of the most important days in the season of Christmas. Some stay up all night to welcome Christmas. Santa is believed to visit the houses of all the good children and drop a special Christmas present for them."
Ho ho ho!
The world gave me so many names such as Santa Claus, Saint Nicholas, Saint Nick,Father Christmas, and Kris Kringle but most of them love calling me S a n t a. I enjoy giving gifts to little children. In the original version, I am St.Nicholas who used to live in Southwestern Turkey in the 4th Century and I was a Bishop of Myra. As a Bishop, I used to give gifts to children. As a Saint, I was given my own F e a s t D a y that was celebrated on December 6th.
When I was alive, Pope Julius I decided to establish a date for the celebration of the birth of Jesus as the actual time of this event was unknown. The Pope decided to assign the holiday on December 25th. Eventually, 'Feast Day' became associated with December 25th and my connection with Christmas was established.
I gained my modern image of Santa Claus from the poem 'A Visit From St. Nicholas' in the year 1822 which was written by Clement Clark Moore. The writer described me so well, that he included all of my reindeer's names, my signature 'ho ho ho' laugh, my wink, my nods and so much more. Then, another writer by the name of Thomas Nast added details of my workshop at the North Pole and my list of good and bad children. My human sized image though, in the red and white suit, was created by a soft drink company named C o c a - C o l a in 1940.
"He's making a list and checking it twice,
Gonna find out who's naughty and nice
Santa Claus is coming to town."
Santa takes me to every house he visits every single year. Even though it's my work to take him there, I don't find it in the least bit boring. I get to see so many exciting things and different decorations in each and every house. It fascinates me to no end. I wait for the Christmas season and I love carrying old Santa every year.
"Over the fields we go; Laughing all the way, Bells on Bob Tail ring making Spirits bright."
Every Christian house has a star hanging outside their house at the time of Christmas. They w h o l e h e a r t e d l y invite Jesus to their house, especially during this time. A star led the three wise men to the birth place of Baby Jesus in a manger. The star stopped right above the manger, depicting that the King' was born there.
A manger scene, made of cards and paper are found mostly in the drawing room. They remember the simplicity of the mighty Jesus by making a replica of the manger in their house.
The e v e r g r e e n tree in winter is the symbol of life. The tree, with an array of decorations such as the Christmas balls, cards, and serial lights shows the prosperity of the season. Usually, an angel is hung on top of the tree, signifying the heavenly presence in their home.
Christmas is a season of joy and fun. People always make a wish under the mistletoe as it is believed that the wish will be granted without fail. Kisses under the mistletoe are considered to be bliss.
"It's always fun to ride and sing a Sleighing Song tonight."
