"The savior came down to settle all accounts of sin so that we would be forgiven. The season of Christmas starts from Advent Sunday till the day of Christmas, almost covering 30 days."

It had been several days since they were asked to go for an interview of Santa Claus. The duo finally started their journey to Santa's house on December 24th. They reached his house, only to find it empty.

"Oh my God, it's empty!" They found two rugged diaries where one was Santa's and the other was Rudolph's. Edna grabbed Rudolph's diary and Deboleena took Santa's.

Let us s e e what they're up to.

"The Eve of Christmas is one of the most important days in the season of Christmas. Some stay up all night to welcome Christmas. Santa is believed to visit the houses of all the good children and drop a special Christmas present for them."

Ho ho ho!

The world gave me so many names such as Santa Claus, Saint Nicholas, Saint Nick,Father Christmas, and Kris Kringle but most of them love calling me S a n t a. I enjoy giving gifts to little children. In the original version, I am St.Nicholas who used to live in Southwestern Turkey in the 4th Century and I was a Bishop of Myra. As a Bishop, I used to give gifts to children. As a Saint, I was given my own F e a s t D a y that was celebrated on December 6th.

When I was alive, Pope Julius I decided to establish a date for the celebration of the birth of Jesus as the actual time of this event was unknown. The Pope decided to assign the holiday on December 25th. Eventually, 'Feast Day' became associated with December 25th and my connection with Christmas was established.

https://i.imgur.com/YArWpaY.png
I gained my modern image of Santa Claus from the poem 'A Visit From St. Nicholas' in the year 1822 which was written by Clement Clark Moore. The writer described me so well, that he included all of my reindeer's names, my signature 'ho ho ho' laugh, my wink, my nods and so much more. Then, another writer by the name of Thomas Nast added details of my workshop at the North Pole and my list of good and bad children. My human sized image though, in the red and white suit, was created by a soft drink company named C o c a - C o l a in 1940.

"He's making a list and checking it twice,
Gonna find out who's naughty and nice
Santa Claus is coming to town."

Santa takes me to every house he visits every single year. Even though it's my work to take him there, I don't find it in the least bit boring. I get to see so many exciting things and different decorations in each and every house. It fascinates me to no end. I wait for the Christmas season and I love carrying old Santa every year.

"Over the fields we go; Laughing all the way, Bells on Bob Tail ring making Spirits bright."

Every Christian house has a star hanging outside their house at the time of Christmas. They w h o l e h e a r t e d l y invite Jesus to their house, especially during this time. A star led the three wise men to the birth place of Baby Jesus in a manger. The star stopped right above the manger, depicting that the King' was born there.

A manger scene, made of cards and paper are found mostly in the drawing room. They remember the simplicity of the mighty Jesus by making a replica of the manger in their house.

The e v e r g r e e n tree in winter is the symbol of life. The tree, with an array of decorations such as the Christmas balls, cards, and serial lights shows the prosperity of the season. Usually, an angel is hung on top of the tree, signifying the heavenly presence in their home.

Christmas is a season of joy and fun. People always make a wish under the mistletoe as it is believed that the wish will be granted without fail. Kisses under the mistletoe are considered to be bliss.

"It's always fun to ride and sing a Sleighing Song tonight."

This world celebrates Christmas Day as a major festival and a public holiday. People decorate their house with Ivys, bays, bells, candles, candy canes, stockings, wreaths, Christmas trees and angels. The heart shaped leaves of Ivy are said to symbolize the homecoming of Jesus. Candles on a wreath on every window is a t r a d i t i o n a l Christmas display, symbolizing the eternity of god.

Christmas cards are illustrated, messages of greetings are exchanged between friends and family members during the weeks preceding Christmas Day. Now, the custom of sending cards has become popular worldwide. Exchange of gifts is one of the core aspects of the modern day Christmas Celebrations.

https://i.imgur.com/NyS0KEl.png

Different countries have different traditions and different Christmas meals. For example, Sicily has a special meal on Christmas Eve where 12 kinds of fishes are served. In the United Kingdom, a standard Christmas meal includes a turkey, a goose, or other large birds. Cake is a big part of the modern Christmas celebration. A particular favourite is the traditional Scottish Christmas cake, the Whiskey Dundee. As the name implies, the cake originated in Dundee and is made with Scotch Whiskey.

Children wait for me and my gifts. Parents tell stories to their children about me, my home, my workshop, Rudolph and the elves. Children write letters to me for gifts. All year, they do good things to be in my good list and try their best not to do bad things so as to avoid being on my bad list.

"He knows if you've been bad or good, So be good for goodness' sake!"

Hoo! Wait, where did I come from? My weakness has an unforgettable place in history and my nose, it's not that r e d , is it? I was made fun of for my little nose and my friends did not take me when they played, but Santa was kind. He saw me and asked me to accompany him for the ride. Then, you know *flicks hair* I became quite famous, haa!

https://i.imgur.com/m94MXla.png

The Magi are the three wise men who brought gifts for baby Jesus. They started the practice of giving and sharing on Christmas. Following that practice, people share gifts among themselves during Christmas season.

Now, everyone loves me and children wait for my visit with Santa. You know, I love my nose now. It's not that bad.

"Rudolph, the red nosed reindeer had a very shiny nose; and if you ever see it, you would even say it glows."

Phew, they both finally finished reading the diary.

Watch out! Some exciting gifts will be reaching you through the chimney on Christmas morning!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Happy Ho Ho Ho Holidays!

The tinkling sound of bells rousing with the dazzling flames of fire to keep warm in the tranquil winter that has been poring down the blessings of nature - and you know Christmas is around when words turn fancy and the world seems fairer. The merry feeling which is relative to this festival makes you feel good about your surroundings and suddenly we ponder what if there is less evil than we make it to be. Christmas is the time to thank the generous year that is passing and have gratitude for the present day we have for celebration.

And then there is that hope that the year yet to come
is going to be a far more better tale.

But when on verge of this transaction with time, we reflect, how much ahead are we today? What if our pondering is wrong? Have we progressed with each Christmas or are we bonded to evils so deep rooted that their vines are tightly wrapped around our corporal selves and we've just learned to see them as ropes of pearls. Keeping ourselves pretty even as they are rusted, grim and painful like the armor of a ghost-cold and distant from humankind.

Taking a page from the eloquent novelist Charles Dickens's priced work we bring you 'a Christmas carol'.
One that is singing to you a psalm of our lives where our ghosts are as real as we are and the need for a bit more of the Christmas spirit is inevitable.

Poverty is the silently lurking ghost whose presence is felt like the heavily falling snow, the
coldness of which is bone chilling. But we are contend to pave our way through it, letting it rest on the sides and dwell with us. And slowly it clogs the path again. We make plans to clean it thoroughly and pledge to be more resilient and intelligent in dealing with it. But every Christmas passes, hand in hand with the shivering lot of homeless, hungry and demoralized humans.

Their plight so pity worthy, you might feel they are a different breed than homo sapiens, seeming so new to the world, all lost and having no knowledge as to how to fill their stomachs, cover their reddening skin and understand their role in this whole scheme of living.

Understanding that the human faction itself cannot be divided by such a wide parameter of difference and be able to survive is something that is taking too much time. It's a Ghost of the Past still so strong in our present that the future looks even murkier. Lets resolve to make this Christmas be its last and bury it deep so that it is rested in peace forever.

Ignorance is a blissful sin, not in the league of its more distinguished counterparts but it is still an evil with importance. How easily we go by our lives not trying to adapt to a change even when the present situation is choking our existence. How effortlessly we pass our judgments about things we 'might' know just by their spelling and not even feel a bit of remorse over our lack of reasons and knowledge.

Our affinity to the smooth flow of our lives, with the least bit of the interference of reality is a voluntary choice. It is our wants that make our minds immune to thinking of the greater good. Our intelligence is compromised and we lack the right questions which are needed to be asked, today. Because today is filled with the filth of our needs that are selfish and deteriorating our very lives.

The Ghost of our Present is determined to make us its slave. Yes we are not required to live by
any idealized set of characteristics but our essence for a rose tinted self centered living, precedes our existence. The existence that was not meant to be of a blissful loner but that of the crux of mankind. This Christmas will be jolly for us because we are unconcerned about the lack of merry making in some places we haven't ever bothered to know about. But there is still time to choose the winning side and make friends with the present that has more than ourselves and rather not end up as a devoid.

War is a small world harboring so much of hatred that bleeds the lives of many and the dreams of all. We are at war all the time. There are those battles that we fight everyday with ourselves and then there are those we fear and hope never take place. It is
this war, this battle we are referring with all intention to fight it.

It is the one which has been fought twice and lost and it is this war that is a surety of the future we might unfortunately see. We pledge that we want peace but stand back when asked to show our support to its cause. Instead we hide behind these wars which are rused up as the messiah of peace. Who are we fighting and what for is so well wrapped up in words that make you believe your survival is based on someone else's end.

This Ghost of the Future is getting stronger by day and darker by night. The hate we have accumulated for our fellow humans is a grimoire even the devil won't want to have a look at. Find a reason for this hate, recheck your opinions and think, will eliminating a certain number of humans make your live more joyful? Or maybe having some more heads on the platter in the coming Christmases will satisfy you? Our blood lust is getting hungrier by time and the time is feeding it well to become a demon most powerful. Maybe a black Christmas will not be a lie after all. Of course if we think to not let that happen, although a bit sooner, like now.

Our lives are ruled by our choices and our choices are no slaves to the thinking or doing of someone else's desire. The want to cause harm is a temporary affliction whose remedy lies in the affections we have profoundly in us.

Our Christmases have been happy and are still and so will be the ones coming because we are a race who knows to culminate our wrongs and become better.

Lets be honest and with all our blessings at stake promise that we will relive our ghosts and will choose to have a merry Christmas for all.

Reflect upon your present blessings,
of which every man has many,
not on your past misfortunes,
of which all men have some.
F i l l y o u r g l a s s a g a i n,
with a merry face and contented heart.

Our life on it, but your Christmas shall be merry,
a n d y o u r n e w y e a r a h a p p y o n e !

-Charles Dickens.

People who don't know Jot believe her to be a kind, fair yet an intimidating lady. I am happy to inform you that none of it is true. She is a Grinch, to be more precise. Jot loves to make her friends/team's lives miserable. Pooja and Meli can attest to that fact. Similarly to the Grinch, Jot loves to pester people and steal their food. No point in running away if you have any kind of food, or Timmies because she will sniff you out. However, no one is without faults and Jot's sense of humour makes up for everything. We have come to love her and trust me, she gives amazing gifts.

Jack Frost, often described as a mischievous person refuses to be bounded by rules and prefers to live a carefree life. In Rise of the Guardians, Jack was initially seen as a frustrated individual who never followed rules because the man in the moon never answered his queries regarding his existence. But overtime, Jack transformed into a responsible Guardian spreading joy and happiness among others. Does this character remind you of someone close to home? Yes you guessed right; it's none other than our mischievous Jillu, who proved what a big prankster she is last year when she started the whole "ragging the minions" business. It's also worth noting how she was frustrated by Jot to such an extent that she, unsuccessfully, tried to manipulate the minions against Jot.😆 Don't worry Jillu...you keep trying, one day you'll succeed.

Drew Latham, is a fictional character from the movie, Surviving Christmas. He is a wealthy advertising executive who tends to make everyone uncomfortable with his silly jokes, which often also land people into trouble. He's a bit of a control freak. But hey, that doesn't make him a bad person. If you have met Pooja, you would know they are amazingly similar. Her sense of humour is the best, and most popular. Ask anyone.

Now I'm sure you all know about the movie, A Christmas Carol. The main character Scrooge is quite a practical person. He is often misunderstood to be an intimidating person but in reality, there is more to his character! Now, according to me his personality kind of represents Nabila's. She seems to have a twisted sense of humour and people probably find her quite scary and strict but her close ones know that she is an amazing person, with an even better personality. Never be afraid of sarcasm!

Anyone who hasn't interacted with Yuvi is at a great loss. Why, you ask? She is simply an amazing person to be around. To tell you the truth, she reminds me of Buddy, the elf. Both of them have a lovable personality which appeals to adults, as well as the children. With Yuvi, a person can converse in a mature fashion, but at the same time talk about the most random, and immature topics. I have never met a more humble person than our elf of CC, Yuvi.

Now I'm pretty sure everyone on planet Earth knows about Anna and Elsa from 2013's super-hit animated film, Frozen! Remember how close and inseparable they were? Well guess what? We have our own Anna and Elsa over here at India-Forums and it's none other than Daya and Zoah! Their friendship resembles Anna and Elsa's sisterhood. While Daya is bubbly just like Anna, Zoah on the other hand is loving and selfless, like the snow queen, Elsa! Together, they are magical.

Together, Viz and Megha are idiots. Complete and utter idiots. When I see them together, I think of Harry and Marv. Similarly how Harry/ Marv thought of themselves as accomplished robbers, these ladies compare themselves to the Salvatore brothers. Rubbish. However, the two pairs have many more similarities, other than their delusions. One characteristic I do admire in the pairs is their determination. Harry/ Marv were ready to experience hell, but simply refused to take the easy way out by leaving Kevin alone. Similarly, Viz/ Meg continue to make everyone's life miserable, whether it is by pranking the Newbies, or teasing Jot, they are always up to something. The CC's very own Harry and Marv are special and we wouldn't want them any other way.

Yes! We have someone else from India-Forums who is just like another loved character from Frozen and that is Olaf! Olaf is a kind-hearted snowman. He's an extrovert, creative and he's friendly to everyone. Does it ring a bell? It's Arpita! Both of them are extremely welcoming to the new ones and she's obviously one of the most creative members in our family. You see these amazing tags? Yep, Arpita is responsible for such stunning-ness!

Remember the scary neighbour from Home Alone called Old Man Marley, better known as "the South Bend Shovel Slayer"? We actually find quite a few similarities between him and Shivu! No matter how scary she tries to act, she will always be an adorable person. Similarly, Marley looks scary but there is no man softer and kinder than him. Our Old Man of CC is a coconut, adorably scary from the outside but a warm idiot from the inside.

I'm guessing we all know -Koeli_Appy- aka Appy by now! She's an amazing person and not to forget how talented she is. Now according to me, her personality is quite similar to The Conductor, from 2004's animated movie: Polar Express. Even though she's super friendly, she is stern when it comes to work, just like the Conductor. Honestly though, how many birthday threads do not have Appy's work as a gift. The Conductor of CC is always ready to gift strangers and her friends, a piece of her marvellous work.

One fact everyone should know about Avni is that she loves brands, and quality fashion products, especially Chanel. She is never afraid to try new products, and experiment. Do you know what that reminds me of? Kevin, from Home Alone, especially because of a particular scene etched in my mind. I can imagine Avni using her mother's products when she was a kid, just like Kevin, who used his father's aftershave. Remember that scene? Boy it was hilarious! I can't wait to see more mischievous antics from our Kevin of CC.

Obviously, we have saved the best for the last. Harold and Kumar is a series of American comedy films which is based on two friends who are like chalk and cheese! One is a hard-worker while the other one is fearless and a fun-loving person. Even though they are quite different they are best friends and always have each other's back. I'm pretty sure you all have guessed it by now. It's none other than Annie and Krishna! CC's Harold and Kumar are the most loved and the hungriest twins of CC.
