Recap

Taani told Rey, his dad and Swaron about her past. She told them how on fresher's night her life turned upside down.

Few things to know

The father of Nanhi isn't important.

Taani left because she didn't want to burden her friends and family.

Swayam, Sharon, Rey, his dad, and the gang were the ones who didn't know about Taani's past.

Viren, Jeevika, Aki, Jeevika/Swayam's parents knew the truth and supported her.

Part 34

There was a pin drop silence. I sat there void from emotions with tears continuously running down my eyes. I didn't know what to say or do as I sat there waiting for someone to react first, but no one did. If I wouldn't use logic I would say they were not even breathing the way they all sat or stood stiffly. I finally dared to look up sideways to see Sharon's face all red with tears rolling down her cheeks. She was silently sobbing as she sat beside. My eyes then slowly moved to Bhai who stood with his back to us. But if I had to guess from the way his shoulders shook, I can tell he was crying too. My eyes continued their quest as they stopped at Rey's dad. He sat there stunned with his fist tighten while his eyes teary. I gulped with great difficulty. I didn't have the courage to look up at Rey. I didn't know what to expect.

I wiped my tears with the back of my hands as I slowly tilted my head to look up at Rey. I gasped audibly as I saw his bloodshot red eyes. I could tell he had been crying because of his eyes. But now his face was totally unreadable. "Taani" I heard a soft broken whisper making me look to the other side at Sharon. She pulled me to her arms out of Rey's as she hugged me. I cried with her in her arms as she held me. I felt another pair of arms around us from behind me. I was so lost I didn't realize Bhai approaching us. He hugged us both as he cried silently with us as I felt his body shake and his tears fall on my hairs. My heart was aching as I relived the memories. THAD', I jumped as a scream escaped my and Sharon's mouth as we pull apart. I looked around to find the table in the room was upside down as Rey stood with his back facing us. My eyes widen as I realized he flipped the table. He was shaking real bad. "Son..." I heard his dad call him but trailed off when Rey shook his head making him stop. He picked the lamp and threw it across the room making us all jump. "Rey, dude, calm down. You are scaring the girls" Bhai tried talking to him, but he punched the painting hung on the wall making its glass shatter. "REY" I screamed seeing his knuckles bleed. I ran to him ignoring Bhai's attempt to stop me.

"What the heck you think you are doing?" I asked angrily as I carefully take his bruised hand. "Who gave you the right to hurt my Aashiq like this, huh?" I asked glaring at him as I blow air softly. "Iwanthimdead, Taani," I heard him mumble. "What?" I asked confused as I look up at him still holding his hand. "I WANT HIM FU*KING DEAD," he repeated loudly this time as he looked at me with rage making me step back. "I want him dead. Where can I find him, Taani? Where?" he asked stepping towards me as he held me by my arms. "Dude, snap out of it!" I heard Bhai, but it was like Rey was in a daze. He was not himself. I gulped "Rey, please calm down" I pleaded cupping his face.

"How can I, Taani. He ruined you. I want him dead, NOW" he said stepping out of my hold as he hit a vase with his arm making it crash on the ground. "Rey calm down please he is already dead," I say as more tears rolled down my eyes. "He is... what?" Rey asked unsure what he heard. "Yes, that day when Aki found me. He was not alone. 3J was there too. He beat him black and blue with Aki. While he was beating him, he escaped. 3J and the guards ran after him while Aki stayed behind with me. They were chasing him while he ran out of the building. 3J told me that as he ran out onto the street a truck hit him. They watch him die in front of their eyes. Aki says he got easy death, but I don't care. All I know that he is death." I say as I fell on my knees and cry my heart out. I watch him knelt down beside me and take me in his arms. He started rocking us back and forth as he started mumbling in my ear. "Shhh! It's okay. It's over. I am sorry. Please don't cry. You are so strong. I love you so much, Sunshine." His soothing words were feeding me calm. I stopped crying soon enough, but I held on to him tightly as I sniff every now and then. I heard another familiar sniffing sound making me frown. I pull away as I look up at Rey who had tears in his eyes as he looked down at me confused why I pulled away. I looked around trying to find who was sniffing. My eyes fell on the now open door. I watched stunned as I saw dida, 3J, Aki, and gang stood there with tears strained faces. I gasped as I realized gang was there too and now knew about my past.

Dida walked in sniffing as she wobbled towards me. I stood up with Rey as she came and hugged me tightly. "Hey dida, it's okay. I am fine." I said to her soothingly not wanting her to stress in her final days. She pulled away sniffing. I looked at 3J pleading him through my eyes to take dida away. He nods and walk to her. "Come on Jaan. It's okay. Look she has Rey." 3J said to dida hugging her sideways as he rubbed her arm up and down soothingly. I smiled at them as I felt an arm around my waist. I looked to my left to see Rey hugging me sideways as he smiled down at me. I guess he is calmed down too. I smiled back at him.

||~No One's POV~||

"I am glad you are okay," Jeevika told Taani smiling at her as she stood by Viren. Taani gave her an assuring smile. Taani frowned at Jeevika as she looked weird. "Dida? Are you okay?" Taani asked her worried. Jeevika swayed a little. She started feeling dizzy as she held her husband's hand squeezing it tightly. Viren frowned at the hold on his hand as he saw fresh tears coming out of his wife's eyes. "Fu*k" he cusses as he cupped her face wiping the tears. "Jaan, what's wrong? Tell me" he asked his wife as she clutched onto his arm tightly. She felt water on her legs. "I think I peed myself" she choked out as she gasped in pain shooting through her lower back ending at her stomach. Taani and others looked down and found a puddle of water. They all believed Jeevika except Taani and scrunched their noses while Viren tried to sooth her wife saying "it's okay". Taani shook her head at their obliviousness as she called out "guys, guys" but no one heard her over the sobbing of Jeevika. "GUYS" she screamed silencing everyone in the room even Jeevika get quiet as she looked at her crazy sister. Taani took deep calming breath gazing at her sister who followed her sister's movement taking a deep breath as well. Taani finally slowly walked to her sister taking her hand in her own as she softly explained "you didn't pee dida, your water just broke." Everyone gasped at Taani's word and let's just say Shikhawat Mansion turned into a circus.

***Few hours later***

Jeevika was in ER while everyone was outside waiting. Viren pace outside the ER nervously while Swayam and Rey stood holding their girls in their arms. While the gang was scattered around. Taani looked down where Rey held her and gasped realizing his wound was dried up. "Rey," she said concerned as she dragged him away from the ER to the nearest nursing area. She grabbed the first aid tray and pushed him to the patient bed gently. "Sit let me bandage you. With dida's delivery time, I totally forgot about your wound" Taani said guiltily looking down. "You are so beautiful, " Rey said to her huskily making her look up at him. He winked at her. "See I am romancing even in this situation. It shows I am completely fine." Rey says smiling as he hugs her with her free hand. "Rey" she playfully hit his chest making him fake an aooo'. Taani rolls her eyes at him as she smiled softly. She then started bandaging his knuckles blowing air on it lovingly. Rey watched his Sunshine bandaging him. He smiled as he watched her like a love sick puppy.

"Done" he was brought back out of his not so innocent thoughts by Taani's word. She looked up to find him looking disoriented. "what? Are you in pain? Is it hurting?" she asked concerned. He simply nods with a sullen face. "Oh no!" she exclaimed holding his hand as she blows on it hoping it will ease the pain. "this won't help Taani. I need medicine that you haven't given me yet" Rey said looking straight into her worried eyes. "No, I did put the medicine, I mean ointment, on it," she said trying to clarify that she did. He shook his head as he wrapped his free and alright hand around her tiny waist pulling her to his chest. "I am not talking about that medicine. I am talking about the universal medicine which is a kiss. Never heard of the phrase 'kiss the pain away!'" he said smirking making her go red as she looks down. He lifts her chin with his bandaged hand. "Right now my lips are aching and only you can kiss the pain away," he says to her in a low raw tone as he gazes down at her intently.

He leans down and places his rough lips on her soft ones. "Gosh, I miss the feel of them," he whispers against her lips making her breathing go uneven. He slowly and torturously started kissing her nibbling her lower lick. He then swiped his tongue on it soothingly. Taani shuddered in his hold as she let out a small moan opening her mouth giving him the permission to own it again. He took the opportunity the second it was presented to him as he slides his tongue in her mouth. He groaned as he tasted her. Their tongues dance together. Taani's moans increased but were easily swallowed by Rey. He didn't know how to stop. He was lost in the crazy sensation. He tilted his head deepening the kiss as his both hands found its way to her hips holding her firmly to him. He was so close to swiping the places making her lay on the bed he was sitting on and ravish her until they have no sense of reality.

Taani was a moaning mess as she let her fingers laced in his soft hairs. "Reeyyy please" she begged for something she couldn't name. She needed it so bad yet she couldn't pinpoint her need. Her legs were shaking with the intensity of the passionate kiss they were sharing. She could have sworn if Rey wasn't holding her, she would have fallen long ago. She was having difficulty breathing, but she didn't have to tell that to him. He could sense everything about her. He let her now swollen lips go as he trailed kisses down her throat. At the same time, he did that, he let his hands go further down to her thighs. He squeezed her thighs making her gasp. He smiled at her reaction as he carefully lifted her up and place her on his lap. She was now straddling him as he continued his journey from her throat down to her shoulder. Taani was baffled by his actions, but she didn't stop him from letting her pick her and place her on his lap. This position assured that she would not fall, not that she doubted Rey would let her fall. But now she was in a more intimate position with him. It was unlike ever before. She was red thinking about it as she held on to him like her life depended on him as she tilts her head giving him more access.

The gesture touched Rey's heart. Her innocent action showed how much she trusted him and he would never dare to break her trust. So reluctantly he pulled away, but not before making sure she has his mark on her. He smiled down at her breathless state. "Taani as much as I want to continue this, I want to wait for our marriage. I want this time to be beautiful for you and at the right time." Rey said as he cupped her face looking at her intently with pure love. Taani was left stunned. Any man would take the opportunity and would make her his. One already has attempted to do so earlier. But this man, who she would have given herself without another thought, is ready to wait. She already respected him but, today it increased tenfold. A tear rolled down her eye as her lip trembled. "Hey, hey! Don't cry Sunshine. What's wrong? Did I say something you didn't like? Did I hurt your feelings unintentionally? I am sorry, love. Please, don't cry." Rey asked and pleaded as he wiped the tear from her face. She shook her head as if saying no. "You... you didn't do anything. I got a little emotional. Not only you still want me after coming to know about my past, but you are also ready to wait," she managed to say as a sob broke out of her. "Of course silly, nothing changes. I told you earlier your past doesn't matter to me. I loved you. I love you and will love you till my las..." he was cut off by her soft lips pressed against his as she glared at him cutely with teary eyes. He smiled knowing her so well. He made a cute puppy face as he held his ears making no attempt to move back. She smiled at him and tried pulling away. The key word is tried. But Rey had some other plans as he cupped the back of her neck and smirked evilly at her. She blushed but instead of protesting she closed her eyes and slowly kissed him. His smirked turned into a smile as he cupped her face and kiss her passionately yet slowly pouring all his love in it while feeling hers.

Ring, Ring... they jumped away as Rey's phone rung. He made sure Taani doesn't fall as she was still on his lap. He wrapped one arm around her waist while took the call with another. "WHERE THE HECK ARE YOU? YOU HAVE TAANI WITH YOU, DON'T YOU? WHAT AM I GOING TO DO? WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW? SHOULD I GO INSIDE OR WAIT OUTSIDE? SHE IS IN PAIN AND SCREAMING." Rey had to put the phone away from his ear as Viren's voice boomed through the phone. Taani's eyes widen as she hoped off of Rey's lap much to his dismay. "3J relax! I am coming. Don't worry please." She said through the phone and cut the call. "Come let's go," she said taking his hand as she pulled him trying to get him out of the bed but he made no attempt to move. She looked at him irritated. "Are you planning to go like this?" he asked making her look confused. He smirked as he opened his phone's camera and took her picture. she impatiently snatched his phone and looked at her picture. she gasped at what she saw. Her lips were swollen, her hairs resembled bird's nest, her eyes were little red, but what caught her attention was the huge hickey at the junction of her neck and shoulder. "REY," she said ready to attack him, but he showed her his injured hand making her stop. "Ugh!" she groaned and rushed to the bathroom. She tried to fix her hairs with her fingers, but it was next to impossible after washing her face. Just then Rey walked inside the bathroom making her look at him with wide eyes. "Chill, they are mine to caress. They won't listen to you." He said confusing her. He slowly started running his fingers in her soft tangled hairs making them untangle. She watched in awe as he fixed her hairs. "Now for this," he said motioning to the hickey. He took all her hairs and placed it over her shoulder efficiently hiding it. "Now as soon as we leave the hospital, put your hairs in apony tail. So everyone can see you are taken." He instructed sternly as if it's the awesome and correct thing to do. She blushed and shook her head at him and walked out murmuring "you wish!" He smirked following her as they both joined the rest.

"Took you long enough! I thought you guys will come after the baby is here" Rey efficiently ignored Aki's comment, but Taani went all red giving it away. "I am going to be sick," Swayam said making a disgusting face making everyone laugh. Everyone forgot about the current situation as they get busy in teasing TaaRey. "AAAHHH" they heard Jeevika's voice making them snap back to present serious situation. "I am going in," they heard Viren say as he walked towards the ER. Taani quickly grabbed his hand shaking her head as a no. He sighed and hugged her tightly. They had this strange bond between them. They were like bro-sis with different mothers. She held him as they listened to Jeevika's scream until it stopped. After a small yet painful silence, they finally heard what they came for... a baby's cry. Cheers broke out as they all hugged each other congratulating one another while Viren stood shell shocked. "Go 3J," Taani pushed Viren in smiling.

After half an hour, Viren walked out with a little bundle of joy in his hands with tears in his eyes. He gave the newborn to Taani first. She smiled and took it. "Awww it's a boy," she cooed kissing all over his tiny face. Soon she was attacked by everyone and the kid was being passed to everyone. "Momma, I want to see my little cousin brother too," they heard Nanhi as she ran to Taani with her grandparents and Rey's dad trailing behind her. She quickly sat in a chair beside Taani's as she was handed the newborn. She cooed and talked to him telling her how she will take him out, play with him and teach him all new things. Everyone watched her talking to her cousin brother. "Momma, he is so cu... Mommy what's that?" Nanhi asked with wide concerned eyes as she moved her mom's hairs off her shoulder. Unintentionally revealing the hickey to everyone. She looked around and found every eye on her. She noted everyone's reaction. Aki looked like he was fighting back a laugh, Rey smirked at her proudly making her mentally roll her eyes, 3J and Sharon gave her knowing look, her uncle, aunt and Rey's dad had a smug smile while Swayam looked like he was ready to pass out.
