Thanks for posting yet another awesome riddle .. ⭐️

Hmm .. my first guess would be Mandrake or Mandregora or Gurdyroot ? ( I might have misspelled it again 😆 .. I mean the crying baby root plants which cured the petrified people at Hogwarts & wearing earmuffs is a necessity while handling them , baby rooots can make one deaf or unconscious but the cries of the grown ups can kill )

I may be known by more than one name,

Mandrakes or mandragora.

handle with care and proper wear if you wish to stay sane.

Earmuffs are necessary when handling them or you can faint or die in event of a young or adult cry respectively.

Not easy on the eye but close to the root,

They are like "ugly" babies but are plants.

i may have caused the coward and courageous to mute.

Neville who was at the beginning not so brave but at the end very brave fainted in the first lesson with mandrakes.

I had a feeling that the riddle would be solved easily but this easy wasn't expecting.😆😆

Whose DP , mine or CJ's ? .. CJ's is Emma/Hermione I believe & mine is a random baby , though I have to admit I too like it , I love it when babies laugh / smile , makes me happy too 😆 .. but I hate it when they cry 🤢 I can't stand within a mile distance from a crying baby , I think Mandrake's were designed keeping crying babies .. 😆 .. crying babies can be such monsters ..

Great riddles by the way.. As to the riddle, is it the Disillusionment charm? Or the Episkey charm that Tonks uses to repair Harry's nose?
