and many said bindhu was durdhara child

she died giving birth to him

chanakya poisoned her and blah blah

but that show was incomplete

so I didn't understand anythg aboutCG's love life😭😆

<div>

durdhara was his mother. Her name is mentioned is Jain text. She ate poisoned food of chandu which was mixed by chanakya and died. But her name was maybe not a real one.all that durdhara falling for chandu was nonsense. The writer of asoka did the same in chandu, first introduced a non historical character mrignayni for chandu just like ahankara who was tortured by dhanananda and then abruptly end her character. This is nothing new. Jeez

but aahan was dam beautiful they could have made her asandhi ya devi...
but she came as sushim's love intrest and later got tortured by sushim🤢 and was ther only to be tortured by him... lol kuch bhi
and in the last she says like main tume nahi bhoolungi aisa kuch to ashok
and later was not shown only...???

I still believe Ahan will return as Devi or Asandhi... atleast for the sake of Mahendra and Sanghamitra they have to show Devi... Mahendra had himself stated in his edicts in Sri Lanka abt his mother... now dat cant be changed na... especially as the show is also telecasted at Sri Lanka...
Most probably they will be Ahan s children...

My wish -
While Ashok returns... Ahan might hv found solitude in Buddhism nd named herself Asandhimitra (friend of freedom) which will suite her situation... Ashok will call her Devi.. like how Bindu called Shubhadrangi Dharma... they will get married...

LEAP

The part in bold - I certainly hope nothing like that happens . Hope they don't get married when Ashok is such a love-sick puppy for Karuvaki...they destroyed my Ashkara in the worst way possible . Now , I really don't care whether or not Ahan marries Ashok and becomes the agramahishi ( chief queen ) after the leap . Cause I won't be watching another incapable, weak and unsuitable actor ( like SM was for MP ) playing adult Ashoka . It was Siddnisha for me which drew me to this show and now that's over I'm over with this show...
But I'm certainly not over with my dear friends in this forum . 😳

very few historical shows manage to retain history in its purest form. look at prithviraj chauhan or jodha akbar! both dress the principle character's principle wives as jealous vapid women and glorify the folklore over history. and this story is no different. it was the furthest from history from the very beginning. the reason being simple- history and reality aren't dramatic masala and human beings aren't as simplistically black and white as they describe in hindi serials that bring trps due to their lack of complexity. firstly, in history ashok and his mother never wondered around forests. he was born and raised in Pataliputra. his grandfather didnt die but rather became a Jain monk. his father was an ok king because of Chanakya but Chandragupta himself thought his son would never be great due to his lack of passionate interest or love for anything- including his wives. he wasn't the great righteous emperor they describe him to be here. and more than anything, ashok was an ambitious, vicious and fierce warrior who WANTED the power and title from the get-go. even as a child there was conflict with the brothers for the throne. he was never fond of his brahmin mother's pacifist ideals though he loved her dearly. part of what made him so much more ideal as a king than his brothers was his brilliance at war and hands on experience with foreign relations. he was intimidating and intelligent. not the cliched good boy high morals ashok they describe here. as for why kaurvaki and not devi, its quite simple- the first reason- she's the ONLY wife ashok mentions in his edicts as a great influence in his life in buddhism. second reason- theres a LOT of ashok kaurvaki in popular culture that makes the pair instantly recognizable. third reason and perhaps the most compelling- the destruction of kalinga. that was what changed everything for ashok. the deepest impact of all. he'd seen battles before but something about this particular massacre by him left him in threads and kaurvaki incidentally was of kalinga. theres a ready-made compelling love story there that is both youthful and happy, marred and sad at the same time. it has all the elements to make the TRP audience smile for a few scenes and then create ridiculous SLs typical to serials to create misunderstanding to separate the couple which will supply the audience the much needed amount of angst. I'm sure there are more but for now this is all i can think of. will write more if i can remember. i think if we are looking for historical facts then serials aren't the place. they manage to make saas-bahu out of religious mythology so historical couples isn't really that much of a stretch at all.

@Mac
I also dont want Ashok to marry Ahan the way Asoka married Devi in the movie... he should realize her love nd fall for her... with some royal romance too... nd I dont want Ashok to be love sick puppy of Kaurwaki... He might be attracted.. may be coz of her Dharma like characters... bt they will separate...
By the time he returns.. Ahan wud also be kind of Dharma... Ashok will fall flat😆

Getting a marriage like how Devi had in the movie for Ahan will be😭

I will never understand why Ashok rejected Ahan when he was ready to give up his life for her and felt anger when anybody touched her or insulted her. Yeah good job cvs, giving Ashok running behind an unknown girl who is not of royal lineage and leaving ahan whom he can die for. Logic ...ah such a karma...😆

Kaur should see their chem and go back alone. This is the best for audience. Cvs can change whole story in one epi, they made sia a villain in one episode when so far they made him a good guy. Why he changed in one day? Why building such a good bond between ashkara when you wanted to ashok run behind kaur? Woah...i hope they show kaur going back. I don't care of karu's love but ashok atleast should not fall for her.
