TEASER
She stood outside the giant glass and steel building of Khurana constructions, her mouth wide open. This was not the small office from where Daadima used to work.
"Madam kisse milna hai" the kindly doorman asked her shaking her out of her stupor.
"Wo, Maan .. " she mumbled still staring at the multi storied structure with awe.
"Maan Sir se? Appointment hai?" the doorman asked making her look at him in shock.
Itni badi office hai Maan ki?
The distance from the front gate to the lobby itself was so far. Milne ke liye appointment bhi lena padta hai?
Na jaane duriyan kyu badhti ja rahi hai. This was definitely not the Maan of her childhood.
Romeo saved her from a reply by coming in behind her, "Chachaji hum naye employees hai. Maan Sir ne yaha aane ko kaha hai. Main Romeo Manchanda aur ye Geet Handa hai".
"Accha accha. Seedhe jaiye. Lift se second floor right pe Sasha madam ka office hai. Unse milna. Wo aap ko sab samjha degi", he said letting them in.
"Good morning Geet" Romeo said smiling at her but she was lost in thought.

He was doing sit ups on the floor with a smile.
The sight was unusual because it seemed like ages since he had smiled.
As he switched from sit ups to push ups a small weight came and settled on his back.
"Angel ..", Rosie aunty chided, " .. gir jaoge beta. Sa'ab exercise kar rahe hai".
She knew it was futile. The little girl was Maan Sir's shadow and followed him every minute he was home.
"Aap jaante hai na, wo nahi maanegi Rosie aunty. Ja ke breakfast ki taiyari kijiye, main usse le aata hu thodi der mein", Maan continued his push ups as Angel grabbed his hair with one hand and pushed his shoulder to play horsey.
"Not yet Angel, 45 huve hai, I have to do 50", he said, " .. aur aaj horsey tired hai".
She shook her head for no pulling his hair harder and giggling.
"Sach much, dekho", he said doing his daily tamasha with her.
He swayed his body from one side to the other pretending to fall, while she cluctched his hair and squealed with laughter.
"Ye gira, gira, gira", he said, making her tumble along with himself.
In her pure innocent laughter and her messy hair, he remembered the other Angel of his life.
As he lifted up Angel in his arms, he prayed that he would be seeing Geet's laugh like this everyday from now on.
