Chapter 13

3 days later!
Jodha was busy working in the kitchen and thinking something. She looked annoyed. She looks up at the living room which was in front of the kitchen, right across her and her husband was sitting on the couch with his feet up crossed on the table, working on the laptop which was on his knees.

"Jalal" she called.

Jalal without looking at Jodha, took his file which was laying on the couch next to him, started flipping the pages of the file and said; hmm?

Jodha's eyebrows frown seeing him not responding properly. She throws the wooden spoon in the vegetable dish she was cooking, with a thud.

"JALAL!"
She yells.

Hearing a banging sound and hearing Jodha yelling on the top of her voice, he with a jerk looks up at her and says:

"HAAN KYA HUA?"

[YESS WHAT HAPPENED?]

He understood that the wifey is angry at him for something. He didn't know why, but he quickly gulped his saliva in fear and left everything he was doing.
He walks over to her, sits on the stool which is always placed at the other side of the kitchen bench.
He clenched both his fists, puts his elbows on the bench and rests his chin on his fists.

Looking at the angry wifey, he starts talking.

"Any problem wifey?" he asked her in a calm and gentle tone.

Jodha crosses her arms together with her left eyebrow raised up, replies back saying;
"My hubby, you're forgetting something"

Jalal thinks what is he forgetting. After getting no idea of what he's forgetting he raises his eyebrows and shoulders at her, indicating at her that he has no idea of what she's talking about.

Seeing him, she rolls her eyes and started stirring the vegetables around.
"The day ammijaan came home, you were taking me somewhere you wanted to go. Why have we still not been there yet? It's been a few days and I am getting bored of staying at home. All you want me to do is bloody rest, nap and sleep. You barely even let me do the house work. I mean, I'm pregnant, I get it. But I don't like doing the same thing over and over again. I want to go out Jalal, have fresh air, enjoy with my hubby and let my baby to breathe in fresh air as well. I feel as if I am captured in this massive house. Or should I say a palace? Or maybe Taj Mahal? My god, please Jalal, I am feeling irritated here. I want to do something rather than just sitting home doing nothing but resting..."

She continued to complain to her husband while Jalal thought of taking her out according to is plan that was failed by his mother and all the drama she had caused that day.

"And now look, I will stop talking to you if you don't take me out today. It's only 12 in the noon now. When I finish cooking, I want to go. And that's final" ordered the lady right in front of her husband.

Jalal smiles at Jodha's anger. He shakes his head in laughter. His eyes fell upon the loads of work that was pending and piled up on the couch.

"Jodha, baby I would love to go now, but you see the work I have to do? Look over there" As he pointed towards the couch.

"I. DONT. CARE. I swear I won't talk to you until you don't agree to take me out. Don't make excuses of your work" Jodha taunts back to Jalal.

"Baby, you know that I am not going to office because you're pregnant. I am not going to office until your pregnancy is over and a few weeks afterwards that too.
I am only working from home these months. I have so much to do"
Tries to explain Jalal.

"Jalal..." Jodha looks at him a little more angrier than what she was before.

"Aaa..aa ye ok. Um. Ok ok I'll take you"
Says Jalal.

Jodha who was standing and listening to her husband, suspected on his answer. She thought he will back off afterwards. She puts her hands on her hips and looks at him weirdly.

Jalal who wasn't confident on his own answer, he also thought that 'I should just say yes now and when time comes. I'll back off saying I can't go now as I have an important work to do'
But when he saw Jodha's expressions, he breathed out and blabbers to her;

"Don't look at me like that. You scare me every time with that look."

Silence was taking over for a few seconds.

"OK. I'm sorry Jodha, I have always said that I will never mix the professional life and personal life together"
He smiles at his wife and says;
"Let me finish off the work that I am doing now, and I'll do the rest later. You too get ready soon after cooking"

Jodha then smiles at him, nods her head saying,

"Thank you Jalal, I knew you wouldn't disappoint me"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Rahim... Rahim!!!" said the mother of a 3 year old child; Salima, running around her baby trying to catch him to feed him food.

"Hehe he. Catch me ammijaan" laughs Rahim.

"Rahim, come on, enough now!. Ammijaan is tired na"

"No no ammijaan, catch mee" says Rahim.

Salima having enough of running behind her son, stops to catch her breath for a second, while watching her son running away further.

She sighs and shakes her head realizing what a naughty son she has. She smiles and gets back up to catch him again, but something made her stop.

*Ding-Dong* the bell rings.

"Oh god, now who is it!" She says as she goes to open the door.

Just as soon as she opens the door, she turns her head back to get a glimpse of her son, to see if he's okay or not. But before she turned back to see who was at the door, someone jumped on her and hugged her with a bang, scaring the living daylights out of her.

"SALIMAA!! HOW'VE YOU BEEN MAN?" Said the person who was hugging Salima.

Salima had her eyes wide in shock.
She broke the hug in annoyance.

"RUKAIYA" Yelled Salima, rolling her eyes over Rukaiya's immature behavior.

"Come in and shut the door!"

"Hahahaaha ok ok. Why do you seem so annoyed for"; said Rukaiya.

They both walked in and started chatting to each other. Unknown to where and what Rahim was about to do.

Rahim was running silently and ended up going to Salima's room. He saw his mums phone and said to himself.
"Ammijaan phona!! Ammijaan phona!! Ammijaan phona!!" He quickly grabbed it and looked around if she wasn't around him. When he didn't find her; he went and hid under the bed.

Rahim was playing with Salima's phone and unknowingly he opens up the message that Salima had texted Jalal the other night.
Rahim's tiny fingers unknowingly tapped the "Call" button.
Rahim was just looking at the phone, turning the phone upside down, wondering what to do with it.

On the other side; Jalal was in the shower when Jodha was standing in from of her dressing table, fixing her hair.

Jalals phone started ringing. Jodha turned her head sideways and saw Jalals phone which was ringing.
She looked to the other side and saw the bathroom door shut.
She went and picked up the phone.

"Salima?" Read out Jodha.
She happily answered the call.
When Jodha put the phone to her ear; she was about to say 'Hello'; when she heard a baby voice saying;

"Ah-ammijaan".
Hearing the word 'ammijaan', Jodha lift her head up and was a little startled. She thought, she misheard.
So she spoke and said;

"Hello?"

Rahim in the other side of the call had no idea he has accidentally called someone. He was just a 3 year old boy. He was flip flapping the phone around.

"Hello..?" Repeated Jodha.

"Ammijaan" repeated Rahim.

Jodha felt an unknown feeling when she heard a child saying 'ammijaan'.
Somewhat she felt as if the little boy called her 'Ammijaan'.
The motherly love in the pregnant lady came out making her feel overwhelmed.

Jalal then comes out of the shower and sees Jodha from her back, standing and holding the phone to her ear.

"Kaun hai?" Said Jalal.

[Who is it?]

By the time Jodha turned to see Jalal; her eyes were shiny and gleamy from her tears.

Jalal got confused seeing Jodha's state. He threw the towel on the bed and went towards her.

"Suniye!"Said the overwhelmed lady with her face full of love. She quickly put the phone on speaker.

[Listen!]

"Ammijaan"

Jalal looked at his phone weirdly.

Ammijaan phonaa" said Rahim.

"Whose the call from?" Asked Jalal.

"Salima" said Jodha

"Oh. I think her son must've called accidentally. She has a boy, 2 or 3 years old."

Jodha remembers when Salima had told her about her son.

"Oh yes, I remember Salima telling me about her boy. Jalal her baby is so cute.."

"Have you seen him?" Asked jalal.

"No no; I mean listen na; the way he said Ammijaan, sounded like it's my baby, who is trying to call me. Hey Jalal, can we please go to visit Salima? I want to see her son, at the same time, I will thank her for supporting me that night." demanded Jodha.

"Jodha, do you know what you're saying? You are asking to go to my employees house".

"But Jalal; I want to go. I would love to meet Salima again. And her son, I just felt as if he called me ammijaan.."

Jalal understood Jodha's feelings and emotions, hearing a baby's voice, that too saying the word 'ammijaan' has made the inside of her would be motherhood's love pouring out.

"onee twuu tweee forrr!! I hide fwrom ammijaaan hehehhe!!!" Giggled Rahim.

Both looked at the phone and hearing Rahim again; their lips curved into a greater smile.

"Oh my. Jalal that's so adorable; Jalal come on, please na" whispers Jodha to her husband.

"Jodha you are so weird at times. Acha chalo phir.."

[Jodha you are so weird at times. Okay, let's go then..]

The lady got very excited, she slapped Jalal across the shoulder and said;
"Oh my god, Thanks a ton hubby".
With that; she slightly punched Jalal on his shoulder and gave a peck on his cheek.

Slightly moving herself into his arms, pushing her baby bump against his stomach, grasping his earlobe between her teeth, she whispers;
'you're the best hubby anyone could ask for, thanks a lot'.

Jalal wraps one arm around her buttocks, pulling her more closer to him and whispers back sensually;
'Stop turning me on, especially when you demanded to go out today. I love you wifey', he plants a trail of kisses along her neck to shoulder.
Humming and moaning a little;
'No ones stopping you from turning on. It's been too long Jalal, I need you... Tonight', she whispered back to him while she planted the same trails of kisses, he just gave to her.

Not wanting to disappoint and ruin her mood, Jalal reminds her of their plan for now.
"How can I forget, I want to go! Get dressed, I'm ready!", says Jodha.

Half an hour later:
Jalal and Jodha reached to Salima's house after getting a small gift for Rahim, as they couldn't just go empty handed.

Standing outside the house, ringing the door bell, Rukaiya opens the door.

"Oh my god, Sir, Jodha; you two, here?" Rukaiya said, as she felt a little unusual seeing her boss at an employees house with his wife so casually.

"Oh god, please forgive me. Come inside".
Rukaiya welcomed Jodha and Jalal.
While making them comfortable, Rukiaya shouts and calls Salima.

Salima comes carrying Rahim and sees Jalal and Jodha both at her house.
She quickly puts Rahim down and welcomes them.

"Sir.. Ma'am, welcome.. Uhmm.. Is everything fine? I mean, suddenly you are here?"
says Salima, while taking a seat on the opposite couch to them.

Jodha smiles, gets up, hugs Salima and Rukiaya.
After taking a seat again, Jodha says,
"First of all, no sir and no ma'am. We are not at the office or on duty. Call us by our names.
And yes, Salima and Rukiaya, I am thankful to both of you for providing me the support that I needed that night. So we thought, we might come over and thank you about it. But Rukaiya is here too, that's even better."

"Oh Jodha, how are you feeling now?" Asked the ladies.

"Much better. My husband is with me, and gives me all I want. I cannot ask for more." Smiles Jodha.

"Oh, by the way, this is for your son"
Jodha hands the gift to Salima, adding;

"Where is he? Your son?" Saying this, she tilts her head a little to the right and sees Rahim, who is trying to hide his face behind his mothers hips, trying to hide away from the new faces in front of him.

Everyone looks at Rahim, Salima tries to bring Rahim in front.
Everyone giggles at Rahim's gestures finding it cute.
Jalal also found Rahim adorable, for a moment he couldn't wait anymore for his own child to be in his arms, so he can play with his baby.

Jalal bends a little, putting his elbows on his knees and says,
"Hey baby, come see what we've got for you."
Rahim pops his head out hearing this.
Jodha smiles seeing his face, Salima pulls Rahim out and puts him on her lap.

"Rahim, look what Aunty and Uncle have got for you. Go to them. Show me you can say hi." Said Rahim's mother.

Rahim looks up at his mother, and slowly gets off her and makes his way to Jodha.
He hesitatingly reached to her while Jodha swiftly threw the gift to her right, on Jalal's lap; so she can pick Rahim up.
Jodha lifted Rahim up to her arms and stood up; slowly swinging him around for a second.
She quickly hugged him and poured out her motherly love; by keep on giving Rahim kisses all over his face, cheeks, forehead and his cute little baby palms.

Everyone stood up smiling seeing Jodha's gesture. Jalal felt like a father seeing Jodha holding and loving a baby in her arms. Jodha didn't notice what she was doing, but when she realized, she slowed down making everyone feel normal again, she gave Rahim a cosy hug, while her eyes teared up in happiness.

She broke the hug and opened her eyes, her eyes were gleamy and shiny again.
"Rahim, would you like to see what I have got for you?" Asked Jodha.

Seeing Rahim's bright smile, and him nodding his head, she quickly got the gift off Jalal and gave it to Rahim.
Rahim got the gift from Jodha, he puts his tiny and chubby hands around Jodha's neck, pulling her closer to him and gave her a kiss on her cheek saying;
"Thank you.. Aunty"

Jodha happily sighed and said;
"You're welcome my Jaan"

Rahim then wiggled out of Jodha's arms and ran off with the gift in his hands.

Everyone had a great laugh together and took a seat back again.

"tum ek bohot hi achi maa banogi, beta"

[You will be a very good mother, my child]

Said Gulbadan; Salima's mother who watched Jodha pour her love out to Rahim just a while ago.

Everyone looks at her.
Salima then introduced them to her mother. While Rukaiya went to the kitchen to bring something for them to eat and drink.

Jodha got up and slowly bent down to take her blessings saying;
"Namaste Aunty"

Gulbadan stops her from bending down as she has already noticed her state and says;
"Arre arre, khush raho, khush raho, iss halat mein jhukna nahin chahiye beta, aao aao, baito."

[enough enough, stay blessed, stay blessed; you shouldn't bend down often in this state, come take a seat]

Gulbadan: Kitne mehine ki ho beta?

[What month are you in now my child?]

"Main, chaar mehine ki." Said jodha, very proudly.

[I am on the 4th month]

Police station:

"Get the f*ck up, you moron." Said Adham, kicking Shariffudin, trying to wake him up.

"What do you want?" Cracks back Shariffudin.

"Jab dekho sote rehte ho. Yahan se nikalne ke barre mein kuch soch, isse pehle ke sazza e mauth ka falsa sunne ko mile. Tab toh zindagi bhar ke liye tu sote rahe.
Abhi yahan se nikalne ke barre mein soch." Said adham who wanted to free himself from jail.

[whenever I see you, you're sleeping. Think about how we can get out of here, before we get to hear our death penalty; then you can sleep for the rest of your life in peace. But now, think about how we can get out of here]

"It's your fault. Because of you, I am stuck here. I don't even know if I will ever go home or not. What will our penalty be, I have no idea. Adham; we have to think of getting out of here... Think. We can't stay here waiting to hear our punishment"

Few hours later;
Salima's Residence:

Everyone enjoyed talking, eating, enjoying and chit-chatting. Rahim became close to Jodha in just a few hours. Jalal was busy talking on the phone to someone work related, but he would always turn around to see if his wife is fine.
But whenever he would turn around, he would see Jodha happily enjoying her time chatting to Rukaiya and Salima; with Rahim on her lap playing with a little elephant toy in his hand.

Gulbadan came and joined the ladies in again. They kept talking and talking until gulbadan looked down and noticed something.
She quickly went to the kitchen and came back with a small bowl of warm oil and placed it on the table.

"Beta, you should take care of yourself Jodha. It's really important for you to feel comfortable at this stage." She said.

Jalal turned around and quickly came back, hanging up the phone.
Jodha was confused.

"What's wrong Aunty?" Asked Jalal.

Gulbadan took Rahim off Jodha and gave him to Rukaiya.
Everyone thought something was wrong.
But Gulbadan then bent down and lifted Jodha's feet up, trying to place it on her lap.
But before she did that, Jodha stopped her.

"Aunty yeh aap kya kar ri hai"

[Aunty, what are you doing?]

"Please don't touch my feet. This is wrong." She added.

"It is not wrong if a mother massages her daughters feet to lessen her swollen feet." Said Gulbadan.

Jalal, Jodha, Salima and Rukaiya all looked at Jodha's feet and noticed that her feet are swollen.

"Oh my, don't worry about that Aunty, it's normal." Said Jodha.

"What?! Jodha, When did this happen? And why didn't you tell me about this?" Asked the disturbed husband.

"Arre, this happened a week ago, it's completely normal Jalal. Don't worry about it. I'll massage it with oil at home, and it will be fine. Trust me." Said Jodha, trying to cool her husband down before he gets angry or even more worried for her.

"Beta, you shouldn't be so careless, I know swollen feet is completely normal in this state. But that doesn't mean you ignore it, if this happened a week ago, then you should've started massaging it from then..or just get your husband to massage it for you. It's very important to keep yourself relaxed at all times. Aur beta try to keep yourself off your feet most of the times. It's better for you. Now give me your feet, and let me do my work."

Jodha was touched by Gulbadan's words. Jalal felt very pity, he said to himself that his ammijaan should be the one doing all this for his pregnant wife.. but his fate is just so unlucky.

"I always tell Jodha to stay off her feet all the time. She just doesn't listen."
Complained Jalal.

Jodha gave an annoying look at Jalal, while Jalal smirked at her.

Gulbadan slowly took Jodha's feet and relaxed it on her lap. She started massaging her feet with oil.
Jodha was feeling so uneasy, allowing an elder lady to touch her feet, but soon she felt so relaxed as Gulbadan started massaging her feet. Jodha closed her eyes and sighed a relief clutching Jalal's palm softly.

"I used to massage Salima's feet all the time when she was pregnant. It's not easy being pregnant. You have to take extra care of yourself and your baby.
Jodha, do you have a mother or a mother-in-law?" Asked Gulbadan while massaging Jodha's feet.

Jodha slowly opened her eyes and looked at Jalal.
She sighed.

"Hmm, yes I do. I am blessed to have both, a mother and a mother-in-law."
Said Jodha.

'But we are not blessed to have them with us'
Thought Jodha and Jalal.

"Well then, one of them should be taking care of you beta."
She said.

"Yes of course they would've. But they're not here at the moment." Interrupted Jalal.

"Then that's also not a problem." Rukaiya said.

"Just come over here, Aunty will take care of you Jodha." She added.

"Aree nahin, I can't come and go all the time. I have Jalal with me, he takes the best care of me." She looked at her husband happily after she said this.

Soon they all finished their chit-chats. Jodha and Jalal were ready to leave; they both stood up asking for permission to leave.

Rahim stuck himself and wrapped his chubby hands around Jodha's legs without saying anything.

"Rahim doesn't want you to go Jodha, I think he likes you very much." Says Salima.

"Oh my baby"
Jodha sits back again taking Rahim on her lap.
"Will you miss me?" She asked.

"Ess" said Rahim.

"I will miss you too baby, can you please give me a hug and a kiss?"

Rahim then gave Jodha a soft, cosy hug. Jodha hugged Rahim for a while and said,
"I will come again Rahim"

Rahim looked at Jodha and gave her a tiny kiss on her cheek with his tiny soft lips.
Jalal picks Rahim up and gives a very light and playful punch on his chest saying;
"Young boy, will you miss me too?"

Rahim smiled and nodded.

Jalal kisses his forehead and passes Rahim to Salima.

Soon Jodha and Jalal makes their way back home...

PRECAP: He slid his hands down her curvy hips to her thighs... Slowly he lifted her up again and taking his time, he entered in her. She didn't feel him until he went in half way. He stopped and looked at Jodha. Jodha was looking at him with deep love. Jalal went in deeper and stopped again when he heard Jodha grasping Jalal's shoulders, in pain and saying;"Sssttt. Mmmh. Oh Kanhaa." 😉😉😉

I took my time for this chapter!
I had completed this chapter ages ago but when i went over it and read it, I wasn't happy after reading it. I deleted the whole chapter and wrote the whole chapter again; completely differently.
