Hi everyone,

According to the recent posts in the forum, I assume all of us are sailing on the same boat i.e.: annoyed or frustrated at almost all the characters of the show.

CONS

Shanti Devi - Always manipulating Raghav into her evil tricks. Turning a blind eye towards Kaushalya, who however dumb she may be, is always standing by her mother-in-law even when she knows her decisions are entirely wrong and uncalled for. Is this old woman blind? Can she not see the difference between Sarla and Kaushalya's attitude towards her?

Sarla - Hitting a new low by lying about a deadly disease such as cancer to her own family, who always do so much for her despite her insensitive behaviour towards all of them. Using her children as pawns just to get money. Are you for real? Even Shanti Devi is better than you! At least she gets money from people who earn it, unlike Sarla, if she was so keen on getting money why didn't she pay attention on her children's education and jobs? If Sonal is the only one with a brain in Sarla's household, why doesn't she get a job?

Raghav - If I had a broomstick on me, I would beat the crap out of this chap. At one point he is such a wonderful father-in-law to Riya, and the next moment he is talking nonsense under his mother's pressure. If Raghav is a straight forward character, and at certain points he does go against his mother for her well-being (such as the medical insurance issue), then why can he not sit and explain to her that his wife and his children are not all that evil? She wants to love Sarla more because Sarla is the weaker child, fine, fair enough. But this does not mean she should torture and hate Raghav's family? Why such impartiality? At one point she declares to love Raghav endlessly for all that he has done for her, and the next point she is there making evil schemes against his own damn family that he loves so dearly. About time to speak up, Raghav. Your silence is not making you suffer. Your mother loves you. Your silence is a silent death for your wife and kids.

Shivam - Is dumb the correct word for you? Never had the guts to man up and tell Riya he loves her. Did not speak up when she was about to get married to his cousin brother. Blames Riya for his own shortcomings. Why do men have this tendency? Riya clearly requested him to ask Namita politely, but he slapped her irrationally and had the audacity to blame Riya for the issue. It was his own damn fault that his sister was slapped and his mother did the whole cold water bathe fiasco! If he has learnt how to control his anger when his grandmother scolds him, why is he not able to exercise the same on his wife and sister? Man up, Shivam. Man up. Removing your frustration on your wife is not the right way. Riya is being the son of the house today. She is doing everything that you should be doing, whether it's at the office or at home.

Pari - I don't even want to talk about her. She's become cheaper than Prabha by sleeping, or pretending to be sleeping, with two brothers. It's disgusting really. I don't fully blame her, it's her mother's fault that Pari grew up to be so greedy. But everyone has common sense, Pari doesn't have a brain, but she should at least have a heart. Her end will be worse than Sarla's. She will end up all alone and probably even then, she will not give up on her cheap antics. For once I actually thought that she'd have a soft corner for Vyom. She's giving away the second chance life gave her.

Namita - Smart, yet stupid. Namita gives smart answers to her grandmother whenever she tries to play games. Way to go! She is not among the ones who would sit back and get tortured. Kaushalya has tried to instil good manners in her children, but Namita ruins it all with her two-faced behaviour towards Riya. Seriously at times, I feel like Namita has no brain. Initially I thought Namita would become Riya's partner in crime, and both of them would tackle Shanti Devi together. But here, Namita is either blaming Riya, or sitting back and enjoying the drama instead of standing up for her sister-in-law. The day Shanti Devi said that they should chuck Riya out of the house, why did Namita and Preeti not go and tell Shivam about this? Riya is the new one in their family, the two sisters should try to make her comfortable - just the way they did with the daal scene on the terrace!

Kaushalya - I was wondering Shivam's attitude resembles which parent. Wasn't too difficult to figure out! I know that Kaushalya does not disrespect her mother-in-law, despite knowing she's wrong. She can't do much if her husband always keeps mum. She has learnt to shut her mouth. But why is she teaching the same thing to her children and daughter-in-law? Does she want them to live the sad life that she lived? Why does she still come under Shanti Devi's influence against Riya, when she already is aware of her evil stints? Raghav has always been right, this woman does not speak up when she needs to, and when the issue is small, she makes a mountain out of a molehill.

***

Okay I'm now getting late. I still want to vent out my frustration towards Ashok, Amit and Rani. Also going to write about pros.

All in all, I just want to make one point clear - I enjoy watching this show despite its annoying bits! All the actors are fully blended into their characters, and I totally appreciate that. Kudos to the team!

Loved all your CONS especially Ragua and Shivam. Both have no right to be called a man. They are useless as husbands, brain dead as sons and irritating as characters to digest on the screen
