Not too long ago, Mahesh Bhatt had brushed aside reports which hinted that Alia Bhatt would star in a remake of his 1990 hit Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi. Mahesh's company Vishesh Films has begun work on the same.
When contacted, Mahesh did not deny this but simply said, "It's premature for me to talk about any details on the Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin remake," and he closed up.
So yes, Alia Bhatt, as Mahesh's older daughter Pooja Bhatt wanted, will soon star in the remake to play Pooja's part.
Tongues had wagged then that Ranbir Kapoor will step into Aamir's shoes. Let's see if like Alia, Ranbir too gives nod to the film. Or will it be someone else?
Mahesh Bhatt, who wrote and directed Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin, is believed to be writing the script for the remake as well.
