After seeing Milsi's romance with his wife in yesterday's episode, I was reminded of similar experiences with my hubby. Thought I will share them with you and hope to read your experiences too!

As usual most of these experiences were in the initial years of marriage. A couple of things come to mind. My husband is not of man of words. But he does show he cares for me through his actions. During our honeymoon I was running a temperature of 103 degrees. Hubby dear literally waited on me hand and foot. Gave me cool water swabs throughout the nights to bring the temperature down. It was not much of a honeymoon for him, poor guy.

We used to live far from our work place and it would take us atleast an hour and a half (if not more) to reach home. We used to commute together. On days when we reached very late, being exhaused I have fallen asleep as soon as I reached home. Hubby dear had on many occassions cooked an entire meal (rice, curry, fish, vegetables etc), awakened me and fed me at 11.00 p.m! I used to feel guilty making him do that but he would just shrug it off.

Now twelve years down the line and a nine year son to boot, I'm afraid romance has mellowed down considerably (except for the boxes of chocholates and nuts he keeps presenting me regularly). But I still fondly remember those wonderful days of my early married life!!!

Hope to hear your experiences.....

😆 Ooops forgive me, Optimist... But I just love your writing and many times it amuses me 😆 Now do forgive if at times you're actually being serious and I laugh at your post 😕

Hmmm I'm currently having a long distance relationship 😭 so this topic is rather sad for me. Ah not really, though.

My partner in life is a very good man, I think. He's dumb and so not romantic in the beginning of our relationship but I taught him well so now he's super romantic (I know this sounds sad and yes it was sad). I do believe that men shall be taught by women and if they love a woman they'll do anything to make her happy. It's proven. As for cooking for me he's done that many times. Even did the laundry and cleaning etc (now my bf sounds like a maid but ah well). Flowers for me in special events and also in nothing-special days. Little presents. Giving me romantic dinners or trips as gifts. Supporting me and providing me things about my current hobby or interests (even when it's considering another man like Milind 😃 ). It's been years and if anyone changed it's not him but me 😆

Now I'm done with my showing-off. And yup I think things will change if we're actually married, then he won't care so much anymore, most likely. But even so that's okay, I guess...*sad smile*

Pray, what was amusing Magno? Would like to know somebody finds me amusing. My sense of humour is mostly dry.

Thanks optimist for this post.....now my story...
My hubby is a very caring and emotional guy but he is not romantic in the true sense of word....he is most caring when i am either ill or demotivated.....last month when i lost my job unexpectedly... i was sulking for a week and he took all my frustration in his stride and slowely cheered me up by saying that look now that u r not going to office..u can be on internet for the whole day 😆 and stare at shabbo 😆 ...
and optimist i also feel that those moments of hubby cooking for u etc r memorable....but with time romance changes face and it never fades.....i see romance when me and hubby play good cop-bad cop to feed my 4 year old son 😉 or when i cook really bad food and my hubby dear says "itna accha bana hai....lekin please dobara itna accha mat baana.... i will become fat" 😆 .....so u see romance goes on......and thankfully like serials we don't have wamps in our life......
cheers for now!

well im not married but there is someone that used to do things for me that were really sweet...he used to text me good morning and good night every day...with out fail...i love the rain so when ever it would rain he would text me saying that he knew i was smiling because it was raining...he honestly made me feel like the only girl in the room...he made me feel beautiful like no one ever has...he knows me inside and out like a book...sometimes even better than i know myself...he worries about me...he is a family friend so he is great with my parents, respects them so much...he is like an older brother for my little brother...a sort of mentor...he is just the classic person that says the classic dialogs...like 'dont cry in front of my, yu know i cant see tears in your eyes'

he was like 'the one'...but too bad i dumped him... 😕

Now that was funny. Oh yeah, I second the thought of having no vamps in our lives. Good your hubby has taken Shabbo in his stride. Mine I think gets pretty jealous with all my gawking. He keeps telling me what do you find attractive in that beary man? I tease him that men would not understand what women find attractive and vise versa.
